BTW, I've read the roles list and there is Miller and a Paranoid Gun Owner on it. If we have Miller around he should come out before the end of the day. As for the Paranoid Gun Owner usually there are probably more town roles that interact with others at night, so there's greater chance he'll shoot one of his own.

Arguably, wouldn't a mafia claim miller now, to avoid getting lynched if the cop invextigates them later in the game?

 

 

Being a miller you may not reveal yourself, but you need to be aware that you'll get lynched when you're investigated (because noone will believe your claim then). You may also claim beforehand to avoid that 100% lynch, but some people won't still believe you. There are also roles that may be able to verify if you lie. So mafia player is risking increased lynch chance when making a claim.
 

Secondly if there's a real miller, than having two of them (one real + one fake claim from mafia) would be more suspicious than having just one and I'm pretty sure some people would be eager to lynch both of them (especially when there's no other good target). So all in all it's a risky proposition for mafia.

 

What you get in return? Cop will not target you...but chances he'd target you are not that great anyway, especially in such large game. And that's not a solution for the whole mafia.

I was just thinking that myself.. Claiming miller would only tell us you're either a VT with poor luck or a scum

 

Also I'm pretty sure MK's over-defensiveness is just his normal playstyle, but it definitely is worth noting. Can someone who's played more with him confirm on that first comment?

 

It seems to be his normal playstyle but that does not absolve him of any potential guilt.

Almost all the games i played defensive i was town, so do remember that.

Since this is a very open game, i have no idea what kind of roles exist here.

I am thinking there will be 5 scum, with the size or even more possible is a setup with more than one scum factions.

I haven't got around to seeing the roles list.
Can someone post a link or something?
I can cook something up after reading through that and surviving N1.
And seeing the situation on D2.

Disregard the rest of the setup mechanics on that page; I chose roles to produce a (hopefully) fun and balanced game.
Star Wars Character names were assigned to roles and the players were randomly assigned.
Don’t try to read anything special into the flavor names (Luke Skywalker is not necessarily the most powerful role)

Just so everyone is aware, in a couple of days I am going on holiday for about a week. I'll have internet access but only from my phone, so my posts here will be more sporadic than usual.

I'm going to definitely be watching Jazzy and Lego tomorrow to see what may unfold. Both had some light shed onto them mid-day and behaved in notable fashions. On that same note I'm keeping MK's very defensive play in mind though I've let most of it slide to playstyle.

Alright, fine. I remove my no lynch vote and place it on Jazzy. I'm not sold that he's scum necessarily (voting for someone else to get the heat off yourself could just be a noob error) but if it means we'll get more information by analysing the wagon, I'm prepared to do it. 

 

Jazzy, if you are by chance a PR role, I suggest you roleclaim right now. Ordinarily roleclaiming is a bad idea, but given that you face the noose imminently in any event, I think it's worth saying. It's a normal last-roll-of-the-dice move for people facing a lynch, and I'd prefer not to lynch a potential PR if you really are one. Also, if you name the PR role you have, it helps us further to determine whether you're telling the truth.
