There are 3 hours 20 minutes to go. In our case I don't think it matters but it's a bad precedent to arbitrarily end a day early.

@Medved - can you confirm what your power actually is? Does it prevent roles from being blocked?

 

According to my role PM, it says i can protect anyone. I looked up the role online and it says that each night target someone and protect their night action, if they have any, from being roleblocked or moved to another target.

the protecter role could be very useful, if used correctly. You remove a scum opptunity if they have a role blocker, and you take away the chance of a negative utility (Transporter).

We are roughly 36 hours away from the deadline at this point. If you have not voted for anyone up to this point you should consider whether you're going to vote at all today. No we don't have any more information to go off of yet but we have to lynch at some point to win the game.

If you are one of the people who currently has 2 or 3 votes on them (MedVed, Jazzy, Wolfpacks, Robert) you might want to make sure that you're active before deadline in case you need to attempt to keep yourself from being lynched incorrectly.

I have nothing to say. I said we needed to no lynch a week ago to not waste our time. Now it looks like peer pressue will lynch medved. If by random chance he IS scum, town will act like it was a smart move and not a lucky one.

 

But why do you believe that no lynch was the best option a week ago? Even if we have no further information brought to the table today (game day), what good does no lynching a week early on game day 2 do for the town? You realize that in lieu of any solid evidence all we have to go off of is posting habits and voting, correct?

As far as my post count is concerned, if you recall I got off to a very slow start because of work. Since then I have climbed all the way up to 4th in post count out of 14 posters in this thread. How exactly am I hiding in the middle of the post count?

I am leaning toward Jazzy now as well. I was hoping that he would have answered my question from the other day. I would wait a little bit longer to vote for Jazzy but since we don't know when MK is going to close the game since deadline has already passed I'm going to go ahead and vote.

I am not saying TW is scum, I am just saying if Jazzy ends up being town, we should at least consider it.  (also putting my opinion in here now on that since i havent made it past d2 in 3 games in a row now )

I get all that but that doesn't really address why you would be okay with ending another game day a week early. Barring any solid information on the table, it is the town's job to get people talking. Forcing them to do so can result in slip-ups being made on the scum's part or you at least start to see who is actively contributing and who is more than okay lurking in the shadows.

If Jazzy is lynched and flips town then I made the same mistake voting for him that you did. Why would I have started the Jazzy wagon when I was more suspicious of Medved at the time that Jazzy's wagon was started? Now that Medved has at least claimed a reasonably useful role I'd rather put more pressure on someone else. You agree that we need to start lynching to win the game, right? So why shouldn't I then vote for the next person on my suspicion list, especially when MK could arbitrarily show up at any time and end the day?

 

Even though my vote on Jazzy wasn't the first vote you can clearly see that I have been questioning his current play for a couple days now.

and that very well could just be it, you might just be wanting to lynch people because thats the only way we can win (for the most part),  but can you honestly say that if someone was lynched and they were town, and a person placed a vote on them to put them at L-1,and previously that day they placed a vote on another apparent townie and put them also at L-1, you wouldnt point that out to the town?  

 

as of right now, we have people either being inactive or just basically repeating what other people say.  other than that, all we have to go off of is people's potential choice in wagons, and based on the votes cast so far, yours stands out the most to me.  And yes you have been hammering in the medved and jazzy suspicions all day long, which if you are scum would be a very strong play.  Hammer in your suspicions of the players but dont case the starting votes, and get others to believe them and start the wagon so you can hide out in the middle and claim exactly what you are claiming.  Obviously if jazzy flips scum, my entire thought process on this will change, but until we know jazzy's alignment, I think this is something we need to consider.  you are a very tallented player, and in my eyes, this is something I could easily see you not only concocting as scum, but managing to pull it off with ease-list players who are town as your suspects for legit reasons, convince other townies they are suspects so town starts the wagon, join the middle of the wagon to not be seen as the hammer yet also push it to the edge of a lynch, while having solid cover for why you did it.

Scum vote for wagons on town players. That is true. However, they rarely allow themselves to standout doing so. Their votes are not usually accompanied by applying any real pressure against anyone because that draws attention to themselves which is obviously bad for business moving forward and not worth the possible 1-for-1 tradeoff.  

 

The fact that my votes for Medved and Jazzy put them both at L-1 was nothing more than coincidence. I unvoted for Medved because I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt after his claim.

 

Jazzy was next on my suspicion list. I wasn't fully ready to vote for Jazzy before you voted though because I was hoping he would address my questions, hence the reason I asked him again at that point for his thoughts. Since we have no idea when MK is going to close the game thread now that we are long past deadline I just decided to go ahead and vote for him while still hoping he would show up and address my concern before MK closed the thread. Jazzy did show up but he has not assuaged my concerns to this point so my vote stands.

I do think that based on Jazzy's actions there might be a fairly decent chance he is indeed scum, but as of this moment, unless someone shows up, and the thread can close at any moment, we might not be getting a lynch.

 

and like I previously said, I am just putting this all out there on the chance jazzy dies and is town, and i die tonight.  at least we are finally discussing something.  you very well could be town, I am not dismissing what you are saying.  but like I said, if anyone could do what I suggested and pull it off as appearing like they are town and not get caught, it would be you
