Regardless of trump's personal beliefs he's perfectly cheerful to pander to them (bit of a tip, the word globalist entered the political lexicon as a result of neo nazi groups. As in "globalist cabal of jewry".). He's steadfastly refused to denounce the current rise of neo nazi violence, he's refused to denounce the multiple endorsements by white nationalist and neo nazis groups including littrealy the KKK, and he's not had a shortage of white nationalists and adjacent people on his election team and as advisors in his time in office.

 

There's been almost one act of neo nazi or white supremacist terrorism a month for the last year. There's been two such terrorist attacks in the USA this week alone. Every US intelligence and defense organization is of opinion that the single greatest threat of domestic terrorism is from far right groups. The FBI has spent the last decade warning of neo nazi groups infiltrating law enforcement organizations. And all Trump has done is to keep offering them seat at the table. The closest comparison to his actions are various middle eastern governments that could give a shit about terrorist causes  and will stand up to say "terrorist bad" and then 5 minutes later discuss funding for the political wing of a terrorist groups. 

 

That is very much an objective failing on his part, and if you think it isn't I'd care to see you actually defend it instead of hand waving it away.  

 

 

As for the rest of the republican party, i'd be very curious to see you defend things such as the last 20 years of support for guys like steve king. Look at what he's said, look at what he does, look as his history and come up with a single good reason for the GOPs support of him and all the various favours and positions he's been granted in his tenure. 

 

 

 

Wow... that's a lot of red. I never "defended" Steve King. I never "defended" Bernie Sanders. I merely said that they are elected officials from their states. They have their votes on issues that I can either agree with or not, but they are not my elected officials, therefore it is not in my power to support someone else. I know who he is, and I know how he votes... but I have no idea how he feels about any of this you accuse him of. Go campaign for his opponent instead of getting angry at me. I do know he is firmly against illegal immigration... and so am I, so I have no beef with him on that.

 

Now, if you want to talk about Dean Heller, Jacky Rosen, or Dina Titus, I have everything to do with them... and the last time I checked it's not illegal to be a bigot, a Communist, a racist, a Socialist, a homophobe, or a holocaust denier. We can disagree, but no one will land in prison for it. That Constitution is a problem for Progressives am I right? It's okay, we have Brett Kavanaugh there to make sure it stays where it is. Weed is legal now in most states, and I hear that it calms the aggressiveness out of people. Just a thought.

We had a little disagreement a while back.  That's okay.  You called me a prick and asked where my wheaties were.  I gave up, because frankly, I had better things to do.

Before I continue, I should advise everyone I'm high as a kite right now.  I put my back out the other day at work, and I'm on some pretty heavy duty pain killers.  So if I stop making sense and start rambling, you know the reason.  Damn butterflies, get the hell off my screen!

First off, stop with the literal, literally every other statement.  It doesn't make you sound smart, it makes you sound like a dumbass.

Secondly, just stop arguing with these Trump suckers.  They aren't going to see reason, no matter how rational your argument is.  You are arguing with belief.  Nothing you say will change their opinion.  You could reasonably draw a conclusion that I am sitting behind a computer typing this.  I could say no, I believe that I'm standing on my head, spitting nickels and shooing butterflies off my screen.  That's what I believe, then that is what I believe.  Nothing you could say will convince me either wise.  Personally, I gave up arguing with Lys over the Orange Baboon's decision that transgender persons shouldn't be able to serve in the military.  

Thirdly, stop painting your targets with so broad a brush.  Stop with the name calling.  You aren't contributing anything by referring to Republicans as "The Loser Party", or calling them "neo-nazis".  Not all Republicans are that way.  You're just contributing to the problem.  If you follow American politics in the creditable and established media, then you know that there is outright civil war in the Republican Party.  There has been some discussion of the moderate Republics, disgusted with what their party has become, splitting away and forming their own.

The answer to that is easy, very easy.  You must remember what Joey Smallwood said about the two jobs that politicians have; "to get elected, and stay elected."

You must also remember what Rex Murphey (I know you know who that is), said around the time that Trump was elected as President.   "How can democracy in America survive, when you require that amount of money to gain public office?"

Lets be frank here, we elected 308 Members of Parliament for less money than Hillary Clinton spent on her failed bid for the Presidency.

It all comes down to money to protect their (Member's of Congress), very privileged and powerful positions.  The Republican members of Congress who are moderates are very well aware that if they don't tow the party line, they will face a very well funded opponent in their primaries.  Don't get me wrong, the Democrats are no better.  They are all just looking out for their own best interests.  Which is to get in office and to stay in office.

Brewers, both message and character of person stating it should be looked at. To draw into your obviously dislike for "socialism", Stalin had brilliant speeches and masses of supporters for his idea's (which if you strip away the lousy PR fluff words are remarkable similar to any politician past and present) while people also knew he could turn on a dime and have your family murdered for looking wrong at him. If you truly would only look at message then even you should see that the R or D next to someones name actually is the most defining difference, the message with the person itself are mostly the same.

 

Heck, one of the easiest ways of spotting a discrepency between message and actual actions is waiting a year after elections to see what has happended of the program that the people in power espoused to bring.

 

Have campaign promises been met? Obviously some have as is costumary (or easy like the Gorsuch one), but have the actual Trump ones been met? Think thusfar that is just the "screw international treaties" part, all the others are either generic Republican stuff (which Trump has a cold/warm relation with in both present presudency or before) or are things that are reactionary to present state affairs (in which Trump is very PR sensitive but lousy at policy making itself).
