I got not town on lyner.
He's infected, at the very least.

And the guaranteed not scum tidbit, he stole that from my post.
You see, if a player is town to me, then that player will never be scum. They can get infected, but never become mafia.

Torres believing whatever lyner says,
is suspicious, even after the fact that torres got a guilty on lyner.
Torres, are you sure you got a role?
I know you are probably town, but you are hurting town, if you are trusting the guy you got guilty result on.

He claimed to have a town on you, as you are one of the better players here, so he wanted you on board to support him.

You gaurunteed them to be town tho and said they are not scum. You never said not mafia

How can you gauruntee that then if they still could be infected/cult. You easily could have told us that during the CM debate yesterday and it would have cleared a lot up, but instead left it confusing for us.

@Brewers Because I deliberately keep it ambiguous. That's the whole point of me not hard claiming on day 2. There's no benefit to town if I just claimed I was cop back then.

 

Think if you were in my position, your town friends forced you to RC on day 2. You're cop, the strongest role that could identify which is mafia. You haven't got a mafia result. 

 

Also scum = mafia, I don't consider cult/infected scum.

 

 

Seriously, if I were mafia/infected, at day 2 I'd say some inactive townie is scum. Literally no downside there.

Now this infection leader could be rafay. As deathproof is usually a role given to a cult leader on the starting day in order to ensure that random luck don't eliminate the cult without even a chance.

This is an interesting point. When Rafay got dues ex machina'd, I thought he must be an important role. Probably cop or cult leader. I had forgotten about that.. and now that 3 other people have claimed investigation roles, I bet he is cult leader.

I’m not sure yet what I make of Lyner’s claim. His result on me was accurate but again it could have been a way for him to gain an ally.

On the other hand, I can’t fully blame him for the way his claim was handled either. If he’s a town investigative role it sucks that he was compelled to claim that early. He is telling the truth when he says that he never claimed bloodhound. That was an assumption made by Brewers I believe.

It is also interesting that Lyner hasn’t died yet if he is a town cop. The mafia could be anticipating any protective roles targeting him but I’d think that by now there would have been an attempt.

As for Rafay, it is interesting that he was given a reprieve of sorts. I agree that it would fit with a cult leader role.

I have evangelistic modifier, which makes me appear infected by default. This has been stated twice by now. No way you missed that, this is a deliberate attempt to confuse town.

 

There are only 2 scenarios if you suspect me:

1. Lyner is scum, which means Torres is lying about me being cult. I'm pretty sure the default rule is that mafia can't be converted to cult. 

2. Lyner is cult, which means I have spent most of my day yesterday lynching my fellow cult (CM).

 

Now if I'm evangelistic townie cop, everything has been consistent so far.

Neither me or Torres or even cm has changed stories about our roles and what exactly we can do.
Lyner has been adding new abilities and modifiers, until all of our claims has been countered and all of his slips of the tongue has been rectified.
