If people pretend like they don't mean anything then it makes it really easy for scum to hide behind uncertain actions (👀 Velocity), but if we agree to try to be reasonably serious then we can essentially play a normal game and go after people who try to mess with the process.

I'd say YES and NO. EC choses 2 people main + backup in case main get's killed at night. As long as EC chooses reasonable people (so for instance not Tony, also not someone who's probably going to get lynched) then it's fine whatever his choice is. 

 

That being said it would be healthy for all if Elector changes (to avoid psychological tricks our minds could play on us - meaning if someone's constantly an E he start's to look like a moderator and not like one of the players, which could be fatal, if he turns out to be scum). However we don't need to be overly strict, with "only once" rule. Especially if we start running out of people we can somewhat trust in.
