Hey man, I did the first one because we were still in the lolz vote stage, and you said vote someone out for being liberal so I figured I'd respond in kind 

After that, I mean come on, I can't not respond to someone telling me to "get a Thesaurus". I get what he intended but I couldn't help but make fun of it since he decided to bite on the political aspect. You know you would have too if it was a lefty lol. I just don't want us to get bogged down into a political argument when we are all here to play Mafia, there's a sub for that and this ain't it.

Calm it down kiddo's this is the mafia thread not  the politics sub. I threw it out for lolz when brewers made the liberal comment. MK accidently said thesaurus so was essentially obligated to troll just a little further      . Not going to go further into it here despite my our disagreements because this isn't the place for that discussion. Don't muddy the waters to boost your activity level with things that aren't related to the game. I threw out a lolz vote in response to brewers lolz vote, that was all it was meant to be.

Voting is a way to prod activity as long as it isn't a full wagon, you should be well aware of that considering how much you've played mafia Robert. If you don't like it be active  .

I was going to go back and quote everything, but that's a lot of effort that I don't have the energy for right now lol.

 

We should 100% no lynch today, I think it's beyond stupid to risk killing a useful role at this stage in the game when we know that all players are PRs that can only be activated for the next 4 nights. On that same point though, I don't see why we wouldn't want to maximize 1) the total information we have available to us, and 2) the total number of players alive to provide their information once their role becomes useless. Lynching early in the game when the highest percentage of players are town damages us on both of those points, and it shortens the game in a setup where time is very much on our side. Of course there's some risk that it won't work anyway, but that's how every mafia game works, and at least the open setup should give us a chance to strategize the best approach possible. 

 

This is one of those situations where I really wish AbT was active and around, since he would at least help tally up the numbers and provide some good probabilities, which would make me feel better about either approach.

You want some numbers? How about this - if we don't lynch... there's a 100% chance we won't lynch scum today! Then again, there's also a 100% chance of not lynching a townie. I guess it's up to yourself to choose which side of the coin you find positive.   Seeing as we have 12 DAYS left, I don't really feel rushed to vote on anyone.

I’m sort of on the fence, but looking at it how ferastical said it, if we don’t lynch we have a 0% chance of lynching a townie, but we also have a 0% chance of lynching a scum. If we do lynch, we have a ~24% chance to hit scum, and a ~76% chance (as lww said) of hitting town. That’s about it a 1/4 chance of hitting scum. If we did lynch scum, it would be very helpful to town. If we lynch town, it increases the chances we have of hitting scum in a further day, but also brings lylo closer. What we have here is basically early-game mafia, do we lynch and risk hitting town but maybe just hit scum?
I’m holding off for now.

My birthday is tomorrow, and it’s the start of my Christmas vacation so I might not post the next day or two.
