Basically just means that you voted for someone for no reason other than because they voted for you. Generally it's considered a very newbie thing to do because it's not a legitimate reason to vote someone, and most experienced players are used to being voted for and won't get so annoyed by it.

Deadline is tomorrow. As a last-ditch effort to keep the Voyeur in play for the town, I'll switch my vote to no-lynch and see if the true townies will join me.

After reading the whole day with fresh eyes, the thing that stands out to me the MOST is: why is NOBODY talking about the fact that KevinH claimed BLACK WIDOW of all names???? Seriously people - that is one of the actual Avengers that the game is named after; an INCREDIBLY brazen name for someone to try and fakeclaim! Hell, on Day 1 Kevin added a note that his No-Lynch vote is what the Avengers would do. 

 

Kevin is a smart player. I could deffo see him claiming Black widow while being scum because her skill set would put her role to be something like tracker or that town assassin (its been like 10 years since I played) just to try and get the actual black widow to expose themselves. With that said we don't even know if there is a person playing black widow. The main line avengers from the movies are Iron man, Capt America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Black Panther, Dr Strange, Winter soldier, Hawkeye, vision, war machine, Ant man, The Falcon, Scarlet witch, Spiderman, Capt Marvel, Nebula, Okoye, Rocket raccoon and like 5 or 6 I missed. If you count the avengers from the comics there's a couple dozen more. Black Widow's skill set is also not unique. 

 

 

 

 

I totally admit that the vote chain thing is the flimsiest of the flimsy. But I was trying to do some vote analysis and that's the best I could find.

I quick scanned read all of day 2 posts. I don't have any analysis to vote for just more of a gut feeling. I'm not feeling it on the Kevin or TM wagons. Kevin is very textbook/protocol. He's know breaking character is deadly. I think he's intentions are town. Robert might being trying to defend a town in order to get town creed. TM action having giving anything vote worthy... As for who I'm voting for. It's purely gut feeling.

It feels like several people are conveying a lot of confidence that Kevin is town without really giving any reasoning, other than referencing Kevin's experience, which doesn't really mean much in terms of whether he would be scum or not. Obviously, Kevin could be town, but between...

• Making a claim that adds nothing to town at all, and then giving no real reason for it other than sparking conversation 
• Admitting that the claim was partially motivated by a desire to avoid a tracker having seen him visit the killed (why wouldn't there be another killer who the tracker would also see? does he know that mafia has a ninja role?)
• Making a really thin push to lynch someone who couldn't defend themselves and then backing off of the lynch train at the last minute once Tony showed up

...​and plenty of other generally suspicious activity since the day started, I feel like the evidence in favor of Kevin being town is as good as any town will ever get on D2 outside of a claimed result from a cop. Honestly, does anyone have an actual good reason for why we shouldn't lynch Kevin today, other than we don't have a 100% bulletproof cop claim proving that he's scum? 

 

As for who I'm voting for. It's purely gut feeling.

Well. Looks like Kevin is going to be lynched. Not that I called it or anything. If Kevin flips town I'll likely not survive the night. If he's scum Brewers and Co will focus me down.

 

Isoc is back. Witch is nice as I know he'll be somewhat active. Although Day 1 he didn't post a ton. Tony dosen't have his vote free to end the day early but there's still a few that could change there vote. Also. Something I just noticed. Why no Vote from Velocity?

Barring that, I also just don’t have a lot to add. I think kevin was acting scummy, but not necessarily to a point where I’d hammer him now that he’s at 6 votes and deadline being so close. We honestly don’t have a ton of information, hopefully we’ll have more info tomorrow.

so you think kevin is being scummy but you are intentionally avoiding hammering him with basically two hours to deadline...  what advantage is there for keeping the game open?  its not like hes going to survive the lynch.  

 

If Kevin flips town FoS velocity.  Velo would know Kevin is town if velo is scum and Kevin isnt, and therefore velo can try to be off the wagon

Wanda Maximoff and Vision walked down a dimly lit street talking about their lives together and planning their escape from everything they had been through. They passed by a cafe and the television inside caught Wanda's attention. The local news was showing a video clip from earlier that day in New York City. Wanda watched as people fled as a massive circular ship appeared over the city and it's alien passengers arrived on the city streets. They watched as Ironman and Doctor Strange fought the two creatures and ultimately saw Strange's demise. 

 

Wanda turned to Vision with her hand clapped over her mouth in shock. The next moment a spear suddenly plunged through Vision's chest causing him to scream in agony and forcing him back into his synthezoid form as he was lifted straight into the air and thrown 15 feet.

 

"Viz!" Wanda cried out as her eyes seemed to ignite with chaos magic.

 

She turned around and confronted the two assailants, preparing to fire hex waves at them. A bolt of energy from Proxima Midnight's spear connected with her first and launched her backward through the glass window of a nearby store.

 

The two went over to Vision and pinned him to the ground as they forced the tip of Corvus Glaive's spear to his forehead. Vision once again screamed out in agony.

 

Wanda, returning to action, caught the two other-worldly assailants off guard and knocked them backward with magic. She lifted Vision into the air and flew tthem a couple streets away. Laying Vision down on the street she healed the wound in his chest.

 

She lifted him back into the air and the two of them soared through the night sky over the city. Proxima Midnight again fired a bolt of energy from her spear that connected with them midair and the knocked them from the sky and through the glass roof of the train station where they crashed to the ground. Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive smashed through the roof after them and landed on their feet. They approached Wanda and the Vision with their weapons drawn. Magic waves surged through Wanda's hands as the two approached. They paused for a moment as a bullet train sped through the platform behind Wanda. Something caught their eye between the speeding train cars. After it had passed they saw someone appear in the shadows on the other side of the platform. Proxima Midnight threw her spear like a javelin at the shadow. The shadowed figure caught the spear and stepped into the light. Wanda smiled as she saw Steve Rogers appear. All of a sudden Sam Wilson flew in from behind Proxima Midnight and a flying kick sent her smashing through a nearby window. Falcon continued on and fired several small munitions toward Corvus Glaive who swatted them down with his spear. Steve Rogers threw Proxima Midnight's spear through the air to a third person running through the shadows behind Corvus Glaive. 

 

Natasha Romanoff caught the spear and engaged Corvus Glaive. Black Widow dropped to her knees and slid under Corvus Glaive's outstretched weapon. She sliced his leg as she passed, knocking him to the ground. The spear was ripped from her hands from behind and stabbed into her back. She dropped to her knees in pain. Captain America and Falcon knocked Proxima Midnight to the ground next to Corvus Glaive.

 

"We don't want to kill you, but we will" they warned them.

 

"You'll never get the chance again," Proxima Midnight responded as she touched Corvus Glaive's arm. A beam of light from the sky surrounded them and they teleported away.

Doctor Strange was gone. Tony aimed a repulsor blast at Ebony Maw and knocked him out of the air where he floated in front of Stephen Strange's still suspended body. He flew to the ground after him and connected a right hook to the side of Maw's face which sent him flying into the side of a nearby car. 

 

Cull Obsidian raced over and swung his hammer toward Stark. Iron Man flew upward and fired several blasts at the Black Dwarf. He shuddered and dropped to a massive knee as the flares landed successfully. Stark zoomed toward him and knocked the hammer from his hand. It skidded across the pavement and lodged itself into a pile of twisted metal and concrete. Obsidian stood up as Stark went for another pass and blocked a kick with his massive forearms. He grabbed Stark's left foot and crushed his repulsor. He swung Iron Man overhead and smashed the suit into the ground before battering him with a flurry of powerful punches. 

 

Stark managed to get his right hand free and landed a repulsor blast to Cull Obsidian's chest. Tony was able to boost out of the giant's grip across the ground and into the air. His flying was uneven with his left foot repulsor gone but he took aim at the Black Dwarf again and zoomed toward him. Cull Obsidian managed to grab his hammer and spun around. The hammer connected. Iron Man flew across the street and smashed into a brick wall and crumpled to the pavement.

 

 

Tony Maurice (Iron Man), an Avenger Jack-Of-All-Trades, has been killed on night 2.

 

 

It is now day 3.

As a mod once scum tried to do this in one of my games (kill a replacement player like 24 hours into joining the game) and I refused to allow the kill.

 

It has nothing to do with scum or town. It’s just completely bull shit and unsportsmanlike. Whoever suggested that kill is a total douche

Robert immediately jumped on Kevin's wagon of Tony for no reason except that he didn't think he should be allowed to play, and made multiple comments implying he was confident that Kevin was town without any justification. Honestly I was really suspicious of Robert throughout the day, and the fact that Tony was killed has cemented my suspicions, because I think he's exactly the kind of person who would do that.

One other thing: no one else who died has surrendered an infinity stone, right? Does that make sense given who has died? I don't keep up with Marvel enough to say if Tony Stark or Black Widow should have had an infinity stone or not.

As others stated I too find Velocity's choice to not vote yesterday strange. Being as we ended up being wrong doesn't help his case either.  There's also the high possibility that among those who voted for Kevin that there is a scum among them.

Looking back at Preston's post he pointed out something to think about

 

• Robert kinda ties himself to Kevin by supporting Tony and leaving a vote there even after Tony starts posting for himself to show he's got access again

Now this could be bait, since Tony was killed at night to make it look like Robert is scum since he went after Tony when Kevin wasn't looking good at the time.

I do agree that the kill of Tony was either a cynical play to frame Robert, or Robert taking out someone that he didn't want to be in the game. I'm leaning towards the latter because of his actions in D2, especially his belief in Kevin that never seemed to be grounded in any evidence or play, but I do think it's possible that he simply got obsessed with Tony as a townie and a smart scum took advantage of that.
