This is simple: 1st person makes a wish, next person grants but corrupts the wish, then makes a new wish.

 

Example:

 

1st person - I wish I had 1 million dollars

 

Next person - Granted, but the stock market crashes and makes your money worthless.

granted, but now you have found out that everyone hates you.

 

I wish that I could make money without working.

granted, but you now get one penny a year to live on

granted, but a meteor flew into the stadium and hit your seat.

 

I wish that I could be at the MLB All star game tonight.

granted but its not the Major League Baseball all star game, but another MLB

Granted, you now have more Monopoly money.

granted but you are promptly tarnished for using steroids
