With you being new (I think?), figured it can't hurt to mention that each game is completely different then the last. Just because a guy is scum or a cop or a townie in one game doesn't mean he'll be that in the next game.

Wow there's been an absolutely crazy amount of voting so far, how much of it has actually been serious? As usual I think a vote is our best option but I don't think its a good idea to just throw silly votes around to this extent. There's been a lot of stuff said so far that raises a bit of suspicion but it could be first day 'joking'

The narsis thing being town could make sense, but it could be Kevin protecting a scum buddy. However, the first seems more likely.

As for the voting pattern, I don't see too much in it yet. I think they're just being thrown around to get people active.

Things are looking bad for Kevin, I agree. However, it's hard to determine at this point if it's joking (a few of his posts certainly seem they could be in that way), or what. Of course, with the next vote on Kevin being the lynch vote, I say we try and give him a chance to defend himself at least.

i'm comfortable keeping my vote on Kevin for now. twice he has used improper logic(and yes one was the logic used to "prove" i was townie). although not a scum tell in and of itself, it does mean he's not paying perfect attention to the game.

@ Oranges: i'd still point this to being the RVS. we vote randomly in the RVS. you should know that. get used to it.

never was a big fan of the random voting to be honest. I place a lot of emphasis on voting patterns in the later rounds and when you look back this random stage just gets in the way and causes problems as you try and figure out what is really random and what is a distancing vote. doesn't think it helps disussion much either. and later on when you call someone on a vote they made they can just say its random and not give a decent explanation and there's nothing one can do. it just causes more trouble, plus if i hear the term "you must be scum" one more time... it does absolutely nothing and helps no way (IMO)

until i get more of a feel for this game i'm gonna keep my voting card firmly in my pocket.

(btw i don't know what my activity will be like over the weekend, just warning ye now)

and yet you fail to realize that the town doesnt know who is and who isn't scum. thus a townie may want to lynch a person they view as scummy but later find them out to be town. a simple mistake.

You don't know me very well.

Typically, I argue against lynching on the first day because we don't know who is and who isn't scum; I want to wait until the 2nd day and then try to guess whom the cop is. In this game, I know there is a 2/3 chance that the setup doesn't include a cop so it is in the town's best interest to lynch on day one.

I know CanucksDynasty is just as likely to be townie as scum. And he knows the same about me. I maintain a day one vote is random despite all the analysis everyone claims.

I'm one vote away from being lynched. That puts suspicion on those who are doing the voting. Do you really want the day to end early with less discussion?

A second vote vote puts a little pressure on somebody. A third vote is an invitation to the scum to seal the lynch with one more vote.

But from the grave, I can still say like I always do: "I told you so!"
