But not in this game. There might be a cop or a doc, but that's it.

I'm going to enjoy reading about all the scum-tells that can be gleaned from this day 1. Nobody knows anything and we need to get some basis for future days.

Typically, I argue against lynching on the first day because we don't know who is and who isn't scum; I want to wait until the 2nd day and then try to guess whom the cop is. In this game, I know there is a 2/3 chance that the setup doesn't include a cop so it is in the town's best interest to lynch on day one.

I know CanucksDynasty is just as likely to be townie as scum. And he knows the same about me. I maintain a day one vote is random despite all the analysis everyone claims.

I'm one vote away from being lynched. That puts suspicion on those who are doing the voting. Do you really want the day to end early with less discussion?

A second vote vote puts a little pressure on somebody. A third vote is an invitation to the scum to seal the lynch with one more vote.

But from the grave, I can still say like I always do: "I told you so!"

Why the unvote?

In the previous posts you were quick to label me as scum. If you were strong in your suspicions you would have kept your vote on me. As for my vote on you...it was a RVS to begin with. However, your recent actions have not convinced me to take my vote off of you yet.

Since deadline has been extended...let's use the time for more discussion.

Anybody could put the final vote on Kevin, but it not happening means two things. A) Kevin is scum and his buddy doesn't want him to die so early in the game, B) anybody that places the vote is thinking they'll automatically look scummy on day 2.

I will do this though.

Now, Kevin claims that Narsis is most likely town because of the whole role pm thing where there was a mistake. I could see that, but by that same logic, there's just as easily a chance that makes Narsis is scum. Let's say for example that I was scum and I noticed the typo. I would go to Mole, say, my win condition is a bit wrong, isn't it? And then he fixes it. And I don't know why, but that actually seems more likely. That, combined with a recent post of him wishing he could talk with people just doesn't sit right with me. Might mean nothing, but at this point, it's more then anything we have that's not related to Kevin.

Also, another thing I have my eye on is Nerau. He has 3 votes. One, a random vote. Two, him saying he's keeping his vote plus "interesting developments". Three, his seemingly pointless post right before mine. Only thing that's not making me think he's scum (he could be lying low to not look suspicious), is the fact he was prodded. With him being inactive, one could think he has a plain townie role and may not be as interested in posting. However, if mafia, he might not want to post, but because of the setup, this is his way to stay active and lurk at the same time.

I'm not strong in my suspicions. It's Day 1.

My unvote was to provide incentive to somebody to unvote me. It didn't appear to work.

More likely audacious than suspicious. Remember this is my first actual ongoing (hopefully to be completed) game. You're just trying to turn the tables on me to fend off suspicion of you.

I actually thought the same thing. But I would have said it after the day ends.

I'm keeping my vote but Narsis is looking mightily suspicious.

sorry guys, can;t come on here in work and didn't have internet last night, back now though. There's a lot of (fairly) aimless finger pointing, a lot of people trying to pick up on the slightest of things. a lot i disagree with. I wonder about Narsis' comment about closed door talking though. If i had typed that as a townie then I'd be very worried about how it would come off in the eyes of others, now either Narsis typed it without thinking back on it or he typed it thinking it would lead people to believe that since he said that he can't be scum.

I just don't think any townie would post that for fear of it being taken the wrong way, while a scum may post it as a double bluff.

@Narsis - In all honesty, I'm not sure if using the "nail in the coffin" vote would have worked to well as a trap. I say that for this reason. Going by experience levels, the best people to use that on would have been Narsis / Falzis who were already voting for Kevin and possibly Nerau (although it's been a while since I've played, but don't recall seeing him much in the past).

The others, oranges (a vet), Kevin (a vet + why would he vote himself), and Canucks (also already voting for him) probably wouldn't have bitten the bait.

Just my own opinion on it, but trying to use that wouldn't work all that well I don't think. Plus, with it being such a small game, we can't necessarily use tactics which could come back and bite us in the ass. We have to think stuff through a little bit harder.
