I've thought about this late last night as I drifted to sleep.

I'm townie.
I have 2 votes on me.
Why haven't I been lynched???

1. 2 votes on me (ACKPLUTO, EM) - even if one of them is townie...I should have been lynched already.
2. Martino and Falzis had ample time to switch their vote on me but didn't...thus I believe them to be townie.
3. ACKPLUTO had 3 votes on him but still didn't get lynched (at least 6hrs until my unvote).

So...
Martino = townie
Falzis = townie
CD = townie
Aquinas - ? ... I believe is townie

So by process of elimination...
Narsis = mafia
EM = mafia
ACKPLUTO = mafia

Other than the possiblity of me being mafia...
Is my reasoning flawed???


The only way I can think that the scenario doesn't exist is that there is no 3 mafia (maybe less or just 1 SK).
I thought of this as a possibility given that the items we obtained are so weak in comparison to normal townie power roles.

your #2 point also applies to everyone not voting you, not just those two. so by that logic I and Aquinas would have had time to vote if we, or one of us, was mafia. in fact, with your unvote of AKC, why havent i voted you and essentially laid the hammer?

as for AKC not getting lynched...that is indeed solid reasoning for him being mafia, assuming that you three that voted him before are townie(or at least one of you is).

you are also right in that if Aquinas was mafia, why come forward and roleclaim? unless of course you are both mafia together. but if that's not the case then i would agree on Aquinas making sense as a townie.

yet you have forgotten about me so easily? i was the primary supporter, and in many ways the creator, or a game breaking strategy that would win it for the town. now why in the world would mafia do that?!?!? especially since per mole's own words he did not think of changing the rule until close to the end of the night.



now some more logic:

why wasnt i nk'd last night? this is something that's been puzzling me since the day began. if i was nk'd last night by Aquinas(and assuming CD was townie) then we would know that Aquinas killed me and we would get scum. if both him and CD are scum, then the town would gain no info. in fact, CD could abuse the item claim and use it to get Martino or EM killed(if one is townie). if Aquinas is townie and CD scum, he could again abuse the item claim to get Aquinas killed. if they were both townie, then CD would provide some information(although i'm still not sure what kind of information that would be provided due to the odd claim). lastly, if i was nk'd not by Aquinas, but he is mafia, then again CD would gain information.


so thinking about that...and the fact that scum avoided the above possible scenarios(since i lived)...it seems to make sense that CD is a townie. if he was anything otherwise...he could have used his item claim to get a townie lynched, and thus win the game.

so here's my list sorta...:


Aquinas: townie. this is due to his claim and defense of CD, who i believe is a townie and thus they couldnt be mafia together.

CD: townie. see above wall of text.

Me: townie. i know my role. but beyond that i have supported townie based strategies and have done nothing scummy, or at least nothing so scummy as to make even a decent case against me.

Falzis: neutral. am leaning scum(gut feeling) but dont have much in the way of a case.

EM: neutral. has played the game much to close to his chest unlike previous games. he also has activity issues. @EM: if you are indeed townie...i believe that your more aggressive style is needed for this day. who do you think is town? who is neutral? who is mafia? and why?

Martino: neutral. am leaning scum however. he's been lurking a lot in this game. also, he wasnt hammered the other day(which would have only required two scum to vote him...which is enough to bypass the inactive mafia theory) @Martino: who do you think is town? who is neutral? who is mafia? and why?

AKC: scum. considering the inactive scum theory for yesterday, the fact that either him or Falzis must be mafia, and the fact that mafia didnt hammer him today...

lastly:

@mole: did you only think of changing the rule after the beginning of night 1?(i know this via pm but i dont think you've explicitly said it in thread yet.)

PS: for those interested: i tend to pm mole a lot when he does something significant in game or in relation to me. you can pick up a surprising amount of useful information doing this.

My gut still believes AKC to be scum. Inactive theory, Sinkon scum tells, and Narsis' item (which I believe to be credible 2nd only to Aquinas).

I'm guessing this day will probably end with a no lynch again if no consensus builds. (Will 2 votes lynch a person? If yes, then I will unvote if there is no lynch consensus before deadline)

I do think that EM is scum - hence my vote on him.

IF there is 3 mafia...
I should be dead by now if either ACKPLUTO or EM is townie.
But I'm not.
So I have to think that they are both mafia.
IF ACKPLUTO is mafia...then I can't see Martino and Falzis as being mafia (voting for their own???).

That only leaves Aquinas and you (Narsis)...unaccounted for.

I don't agree with your reasoning why CD is town. Had you been killed, I am fairly certain that CD would have gone down. There were far more suspicions on CD yesterday than there were on Aquinas.

I'm not sure yet who the final scum is. I was pretty much convinced that EM was a townie yesterday and even though it is a little remarkable that he is not voting for ACKPLUTO or Falzis, I still believe him to be town. I have had you and Aquinas in my townie list pretty much since the beginning so that leaves Falzis. But I honestly can't say I'm really suspicious of him. Just that if we lynch ACKPLUTO and CD, they both turn out to be scum and the game isn't over, then he would most likely get my vote.

This is how I think it is for 3 mafia...

Martino = townie (voted for ACKPLUTO)
Falzis = townie (voted for ACKPLUTO)
Aquinas = townie (came to my defense when he didn't have to)
CanucksDynasty = townie (me...can't say much else)

ACKPLUTO = mafia (voted for me...and I'm not dead yet).
EM = mafia (voted for me...and I'm not dead yet).
Narsis = mafia (cuz he's the only one left).

I give Narsis credit for flushing out the game-breaking strategy that Firkked suggested.
However...I still didn't quite believe the roleblocking claim.
Also...you picked up the "pills" the night before in a room that was previously occupied by SJ, junkahoolic, and Firkked.

There was an eerie sense of finality as the inhabitants of the island gathered around the plane wreckage and began their daily conversing. Hope was running out fast. Throughout their time on the plane, and since the crash, they had failed to find a single member of the ones plotting against them. There was doubt growing. Was there REALLY anyone on the plane? Did someone hide? Did they die in the crash? Were the enemies watching as they killed each other. The inhabitants, tired after sleepless nights, seemed to by mutual agreement trudge to a nearby beach.
Some sat down, others paced around madly. Fingers started to get pointed again, and eventually, they settled on CanucksDynasty. A group of four townies grabbed him and dragged him, legs leaving a macabre trail in the sand, down to the sea. He began to protest his innocence, but a strong pair of hands grabbed him and shoved his head under the water. His limbs began to thrash wildly, clawing, kicking at anything within their reach - but it was pointless. After a minute, the group let out a sigh and stepped back, the body sinking. It was grabbed and dragged unceremoniously back onto the beach, where the search began. A more frantic search of a small pack he had carried was conducted - revealing a Megaphone. A small sticker on it identified it as being from the plane. Apart from that... nothing.

CanucksDynasty, CRIER, has been killed.

Three of the group who had submerged Canucks under the water trudged off into the forest slowly. No-one followed them. It was all getting too much. Only when the sun begin to descend did the remaining three - Aquinas, Electric Mango, and Narsis - begin to question their comrades. They all turned as one towards the forest as footsteps were heard - and out of the forest came the mafia, each clutching a handgun.
Aquinas' eyes widened as the three silently raised their pistols and fired. In unison, the three townies fell, some with a cry, others silently. The mafia watched without mercy as they crouched over their victims and finished them off. The crack of gunfire echoed around the island. Slowly, they put the guns away. One took out a satellite phone and began to dial. Their job was done.

Narsis, INSOMNIAC, has been killed in the endgame.
Electric Mango, TOWNIE, has been killed in the endgame.
Aquinas, HAZY TRACKER, has been killed in the endgame.

Good game mafia, you guys played it well.

CD, sorry I didn't believe you, hind sight is 20/20, I thought for sure you were going to be mafia.

I would have like to have been more active in the end game. It sucks not having a pc, I never had any time to go back and study anything that has been going on recently. I'll most likely be sitting out for the next game so I hope you guys have fun. Maybe I'll get to jump in as a replacement.
