Poll of the Day: Would you rather? - (5/20/15)
Yeah, it really would. Not really. It's possible to have a dry surge. Especially after a bunch of times in a row. Your body only holds so much at any point in time. Would also make you very very sore... but once every 10 years? That would mean I'd have to live to... 92 to achieve the same number of orgasms I would do on a fairly standard week... didn't knew you were 82. http://images.amcnetworks.com/ifc.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/zing.gif

Hilary's running. Who else?
And here I thought "hate crime" was designed to additionally punish those who inflict harm on people on the basis of prejudice. You punish the crime... not the reason. Everyone is equal under the law. When you start treating people different because of the way they feel about other people, we will end up in a world of shit, because it always cuts both ways and then pretty soon no one is accountable for anything because everyone can make a case that they are hated for something. If we are ever going to rid ourselves of racism, or gayism, or blondism, or any other hate-ism you can think of... we have to begin with prohibiting the "ism" excuses for everything. Man kills a man... man gets punished under the law. It doesn't matter that the black man hated the white dude, or who the dude was having sex with. You're just complicating the obvious. Prejudice has nothing to do with emotions and everything to do with actions. I don't care if Bob hates Sally because she is Jewish, but if he punches her in the face soley because she is Jewish then I take issue with it, and am glad the "hate crime" designation exists. Decisions, decisions. Now if I had guarantees of running into Emma Watson, I would've picked the Harry Potter universe.

A Look into How ISIS Governs its Territories
I've read that Al-Queda's immaterial resources (in the form of popular support of their model for jihadism) has been waning, largely due to generational differences. Perhaps that too is a result of the cultural growth in Arabic Islam (I would like to throw in the Arab Spring movement as well, but I'm not yet as well informed on it). And I'm for promoting stability in the region, but you can't make a move in say Syria without a ripple effect on Yemen, or Saudi Arabia, or Egypt, etc. Even then who bears the burden of finding that right sequence and balance of moves? Is is shared equally by the affected peoples and Western powers?

A Look into How ISIS Governs its Territories

As an American, it's hard (and would be foolish) to ignore the threat of Al-Queda or underestimate their capabilities. But, ISIS looks to be a more dangerous threat in the long run, especially if they continue to amass territories and collect taxes.

Hilary's running. Who else?
Owning debt on the U.S. is a bad investment? I would argue just the opposite. Even if the Euro does replace the greenback in oil trade, the U.S. still consistently puts up extraordinarily high numbers of GDP, patents, and attracted foreign investment. As my Chinese econ professor once put it: as long as someone's willing to buy it, America can issue debt as it pleases. Global equilibrium. Same for trade deficit, too.

1. The first part of your statement is pure speculation. It will take years to accurately measure the macroeconomic effects of this policy change. Given the economic success of other developed nations with similar healthcare plans, we will have to wait and see what effects this will have on the American economy. I don't know about the patient-doctor thing, since I rarely go 2. Al Qaeda was responsible for 9/11. ISIS and AQ differ greatly in their wants, strategies, means, beliefs, even generational appeals. 3. Let's not forget that Obama took office at the beginning of a huge economic recession. Democrats and Republicans alike who understand Keynesian economics know why government spending to stimulate the economy in the short run is about all you can do to stop the bleeding. It always fascinates me how the national debt is such a politically charged topic, when economically speaking it means very little.

Hilary's running. Who else?
Someone who is on the far left side of the political spectrum. Not as far as Communism, but someone wanting a soft socialist state. Big government, high taxes, government controlled mandatory programs, infringement on rights, large emphasis on controlling power. I'm just trying to figure which of the previous presidents fall under that general set of criteria.

Police officer kills unarmed fleeing man
This is tragically hilarious. It's damn useful though, I'll probably do it next time I'm stopped by a cop. In the city I work for, our officers just got a grant to pilot cameras that they will wear at all times. So far, the interesting observation has been that both the police officer and the citizen both act differently when they know they are being video recorded. Also, the data storage for all that footage is ridiculously expensive. So are the open record requests for it
