hmm. to play mafia or not to play mafia. i would like to join. only issue is i'm leaving for vacation on friday (2 days) for a week or so. so i would likely miss the start.

first the good: i like the style. and you seem to be very good at making it work. now the bad: in most of the pieces...text and other various foreground parts blend too well with the background, making it difficult to look at. personally i think the reign of terror one is by far the best, although the text does suffer a bit from the above.

i had probably the worst headache in the history of headaches yesterday. here's hoping it doesn't come back today and i'll actually be able to get my thoughts down in a communicative manner.

it's very useful. if my understanding of the role is correct, it's used during the day. meaning the town doesnt get the result of the lynch.

echoing what Preston said and with a bit more on top: every game is different. doesn't matter if they have the same name or include 1 or 2 of the same roles, there are still going to be different roles involved. additionally, it's not just what you said but the way you worded it. there is a difference between someone being "the janitor" and someone being "a janitor". in the first case, you are implying that there is a janitor in the game. in the second, there may or may not be a janitor in the game. the first implys having extra knowledge that players dont normally have, and furthermore that only mafia could have at this stage of the game. thus, you are mafia.

but why? for all we know there may not even be a janitor in the game. hence why i think you are scum and made a mistake.

you need to remember, we aren't just looking at today. we are looking at the game as a whole. for any single given day, it's more beneficial for the town to no lynch until they find mafia in some way or another. but over the course of the entire game, that'd result in a town loss. you are suggesting that there is a janitor? well that about does it. i'm going with Kevin, ccabal, and d3mon as the 3 mafia. game over; town wins.

no the mod but: 1. yes. also some "code" is allowed/used (ie. you can drop hints to what role you have). the main point is usually to prevent people communicating without others being able to figure out what they are saying. also prevents hidden votes and such. 2. Vacation/Limited Access
