2024 Presidential Election Thread
This is NSFW, but there is a video of the alleged shooter after he was killed. What little information is available, is the shooter climbed on a roof of a nearby building, fired a few shots, and was quickly taken out by a counter sniper team. https://rumble.com/v56uffp-video-showing-the-trump-rally-shooter-dead-on-the-rooftop.html Included below is a graphic from a video another Rumble podcast where someone who claims to be an ER, allegedly assisted one of the victims shot. https://rumble.com/v56u7qt-trump-assassination-attempt.html https://pasteboard.co/c7vQPwRMcmUO.png

Mia
Incredibly sad news to hear. If I recall correctly, Mia assumed the role of IRON President shortly after my former alliance VOC, merged into IRON. This was back in 2012-2013 and I remember Mia being a very kind and welcoming individual.

Putin claims an attack on these regions is an attack on Russia itself, and will respond with all available means, including nuclear weapons. The major questions are as follows: Russia uses a Tactical Nuclear device in Ukraine, how would NATO respond? Would this nuclear device be detonated in western Ukraine to limit radioactive fallout to Russia? How would Europe respond amid the detonation and fallout? Does the current Russian military even possess the necessary means to operate freely within an NBC environment? The Soviet Union had that capability, but the modern day Russian military has proven drastically horrible in the logistics department. Would Russia use only 1 nuclear weapon in a lowly populated area as a show of force? How many of Russia's thousands of nuclear warheads are even operational? Ratio of gravity bombs to ICBMs?

The 2022 Midterm Elections
The day Russia invaded, I knew Ukraine could only hold out for about a max of 3 weeks before the majority of the country fell to Russia, which would lead to an insurgency beginning. Seeing the level of incompetence the Russian military is exhibiting, Ukraine actually seems to have a fighting chance of holding on to a small sliver of their country. Best case scenario: Russia takes everything east of the Dnieper River, Ukraine forces remain organized and retain a huge foothold west of the Dnieper River. Russia amphibious crossings mostly fail in their objective to gain a foothold to exploit. A de facto peace may exist as neither side is able to advance. Putin will still engage in air strikes and artillery attacks, but ground forces are stuck in eastern Ukraine. Western Ukraine becomes the free Ukraine, and Eastern Ukraine is swallowed up by Russia or exists as a buffer country ruled by a puppet government. More probable scenario: Ukraine is able to stall the advance near the city of Lviv, close to the Polish border. Having lost 80%-85% of their country, their ability to maneuver makes them more static targets. However, the influx of massive amounts NLAWS, Javelins, and Stinger Missiles stalls future Russian advances. War will probably continue as Putin feels he is so close to victory, yet he can't quite get over the final hurdle. An insurgency will continue in Russian controlled sectors of Ukraine, but resupplying them will be increasingly difficult, due to the far distance for smuggling into occupied territory. Worst case scenario: Ukraine completely falls to Russian forces. A new Ukrainian puppet government is created, and Ukraine will act as a land buffer to protect Russia from NATO. An insurgency will start out strong but quickly run out of modern weaponry. Will degenerate to various small arms, IEDs, and other home made bombs.

The Coronavirus
I chalked it up to people not paying attention to that morning's news. We will see how many choose to continue wearing it by next week.

The Coronavirus
New York mask mandate ending yesterday as well. Went to Walmart and approximately 25% of people were still wearing masks. While I was shopping there were 2 separate times a person went to push their shopping cart into the aisle I was in, saw I wasn't wearing a mask, and waited at the end of the aisle until I left before entering the aisle. Went to work later in the day and my coworkers said I should've walked up to them to see if they would've run away.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
Mostly had to do with individual State/Local jurisdictions. Trump tried to have the Feds protect the outside of the Federal Courthouse in Portland Oregon but that interfered with the city of Portland's jurisdiction and the Mayor's wishes, so the Feds could only police inside the courthouse. Since the State's and Cities are in control of enforcing their own laws, they have the legal right to tell their cop's to stand down and let the rioters do whatever they please. The main idea behind that is hoping that after 1 or 2 nights, the rioters get it out of their systems, get tired, and eventually go home. Portland is a prime example of that not working out too well. Pretty much every riot that occurred in 2020/2021, all happened in Democrat controlled States/Cities which tend to be soft on crime. Had rioters showed up in Republican areas, they would've been arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Combine Democrat District Attorneys, spineless Judges, a revolving door criminal justice system, and you get the perfect storm of bare bone consequences for rioting.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
My apologies, I wrote the wrong name. Did some more researching and discovered Grosskreutz wasn't a Felon, he only had a Misdemeanor, which explains how he received a Pistol Permit.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
Over the past few years of BLM/Antifa riots, Militias sometimes make an appearance. The Lightfoot militias spread across multiple states used to show up quite regularly in Open Carry states to protect everyone's Constitutional Rights of free speech. Usually 10-30 members would show up. Proud Boys and Oathkeepers make the news a lot for showing up but they aren't Militias. They like to ride in motorcycles, pickup trucks, wave flags and yell loudly, but none of them actually train for small unit tactics or participate in serious firearm training as a squad. Its like being in a club, they don't have the professionalism and organization of the Militias. Lets face it, the majority of us Conservatives have jobs and responsibilities in life. And I'd venture that ANTIFA/BLM tend to belong to the Entitlement class who rarely possess good paying jobs and have very little to actually live for. That is my reasoning why mobs and mobs of rioters arrive in full force. They have little to fear in terms of actually being convicted for their crimes (especially if they are rioting in city with a local liberal government). When police are issued 'Stand Down' Orders and circles the wagons at the Department building, or the Department orders its Officers to watch but not intervene as felony criminal acts are occurring, its not surprising individuals seize the initiative to protect their homes and families. Kyle Rittenhouse could've been me. If Antifa/BLM were to theoretically riot in my suburban community, throw Molotovs at my neighbor's homes, with my neighbors families still inside, I would intervene without a moment's hesitation. Heck, even my liberal state of New York has it in their Penal Law that if someone is committing Arson, is justifiable to use lethal force for self defense, if you reasonably believe someone's life is in imminent danger.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
thats not correct. as a wisconsin resident, I can confirm the dismissal was correct. Hunting is under the age of 16 for that to take into effect so the only way he could have been conficted was if it was a SBR, which it was not. No idea how the prosecutors did not know the law when its pretty clear about ut Very interesting. Some of the Pro 2nd Amendment blogs (and numerous news sites) I follow got it wrong. I was unaware of the SBR issue in regards to that.

Scratch the Underage Weapons Charge, the Judge dismissed it on the premise the law was poorly written.

Kyle Rittenhouse Trial
Today the closing arguments for the Rittenhouse Trial wraps up and the jury will begin deliberations. The trial has been very controversial in it's regards to self defense and in many ways mirrors the George Zimmerman trial. What are your expectations to how the jury deliberations will unfold? My predication? Rittenhouse gets off on all charges except Possession Of A Dangerous Weapon By A Person Under 18. Wisconsin Penal Law only allows minors to possess firearms if actively Hunting. But even that's only a Misdemeanor. The Judge allowed the Prosecution to introduce lesser charges so it's slightly plausible the Jury might find Rittenhouse as the initial aggressor. Hard to secure a guilty verdict on Rittenhouse when the DA let the Rioters walk and threw out the illegal weapon charge on Rosenbaum, who was conceal carrying a Glock illegally because his Permit expired (how he was granted a Pistol Permit is beyond me as he was a Felon barred from law from owning and handling a firearm).

Conflicted Card Game Deck 2: Week 46
Conflicted is a game which consists of multiple decks, each deck containing 52 cards, and on each card is a question. The setting is in an environment where some catastrophic event has occurred. Could be nuclear war, World War III, horrible disease, economic collapse, but regardless of the scenario, no form of government really exists or if it does it is unable to help you. No calling 911, no cell phones, no internet. Its just yourself, maybe friends and family, and possibly a small group of people who can help you. Not necessarily Mad Max/Post Apocalyptic, but cohesive civilization with modern technology at our fingertips is essentially over. Every week I will post one of the cards (selected at random), and each participant writes a response to what they would do in that situation or how they might handle it. I will let the thread run for one week, and then post a new question. Post as much as you like after giving your response. Debating and analyzing is part of the game! I won't be playing as I am the one running the game. There are no right or wrong answers as the game is about hearing how people could navigate a stressful or perilous situation. Deck 2 - Survival Scenarios: Five of Clubs

The Coronavirus
Its unfortunate I'm getting in your way of enjoying life, so to borrow a phrase from my Liberal friends, "My body my choice". Myself and my family have chosen not to receive a brand new Vaccine which was rushed through development and an expedited approval process. I'm not an Anti Vaxer, vaccines are immensely beneficial and save countless lives. I don't care if its a traditional vaccine or RNA, no one can accurately promise me there aren't long term side effects associated with the new vaccines. Thankfully, potentially dangerous short terms effects seem to be practically 0, but I'll be waiting it out a bit longer. I've taken plenty of precautions to avoid being around potentially sick individuals and to protect myself, therefore I'm not too concerned. There is an old saying, "When times get bad, a person's true feelings come out." Wishing death on myself, my wife, and my 2 children is quite telling about your inner character. The absolute best thing about COVID-19 is showed how even in our advanced, 21st century society, certain human beings still delve into horrible and violent behavior. I choose the high ground. You have a nice rest of your day, Sir.
