The Elections 2020 Thread
I'm glad we've finally found out who won. Even though it's going to be heavily contested for months, at least we finally know what to expect. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback in regards to that video I made. Co-workers, friends, and family have all said it was a very positive message. A few have told me I should start a podcast in regards to finding that common middle ground with people, along with discussing vearious life lessons. Still mulling the idea over on my head but it might be fun to do. I can pretty much guarantee not a single conservative/Trump supporter is going to storm a Polling Place, burn down their neighborhood, or shoot up a mall. Bear in mind it was the BLM/ANTIFA crowd that prepositioned themselves the night before Election Day in big cities such as DC and NYC. They made it verbally clear they were ready to 'intervene' if the Election didn't go their way. Their are crazies on both sides, but in my experience Conservatives do a much better job at reigning theirs in. Well that warms the cockles of my heart. But before you get all misty over it, just remember that I'm still a proud American Citizen, still a firm supporter of our Constitutional Republic, still believe that the great people in South Dakota are just as important as anyone in New York City, still believe that a southern accent doesn't demonstrate a lack of critical thinking, and even though I have a lot of black friends, it doesn't mean I can ever listen to rap music... that doesn't make me a racist... it's just proof that I have good ears. If Joe Biden becomes President, it will be the first time in my life that we have a President that was elected totally on who he is not. He won the Democrat nomination because he is not Bernie Sanders, and he would be elected President because he is not Donald Trump. There is not a single thing that Joe Biden has ever done to earn it. It's just as bad as Obama... a first term Junior Senator that never did anything to earn it... but at least he was able to deliver a speech. Joe has never done a thing, and he's an empty suit. He will be a harmless President, because he's weak and ineffective. My wife gives him 6 months before he's out... I'm not sure he'll make it to inauguration.. His allies are carnivorous Progressives, and they are all swarming around... waiting for him to start bleeding. I think the worst we have to worry about is Biden issuing Executive Orders on Immigration Policies, having a weak foreign policy, decreasing Federal Funding for local Police, and instructing the ATF to push as much into the NFA as possible. Unless he can win the Senate there isn't much he can do in terms of legislation.

Biden will definitely take Arizona. 73% reported and Biden is at 53.6%.

The way the swing states votes are coming in, I think I have enough to make a prediction. Trump wins with 286 while Biden gets 252. The only wildcard I potentially see is Wisconsin, if Biden can pull ahead in Wisconsin (only 47% of the vote is in) then Biden gets 262 while Trump would get 276. Going to be a very close race, but the majority of the rest of the swing states already have relatively clear majorities.

The SXP is definitely a great shotgun. Has there been any protests in Las Vegas?

The Elections 2020 Thread
Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day for sure. I suspect Trump will win by a slim margin. As for swing states, I think Pennsylvania will go Trump because of the very recent looting/rioting, Michigan and Wisconsin will be split between both candidates (no idea who will take which state), and Florida will probably go Trump (lot of retired folks in Florida, many of whom are likely afraid their 401k's will tank if Biden wins Election. The market will likely recover at some point but the fear of having another stock market crash this year is a scary thought to those living on a fixed retirement income). Stay safe out there folks. I don't expect anything too bizarre or violent to happen on Election Day, but regardless of who wins, within the next few days the country is going to witness an increase of "Mostly Peaceful Protests". I plan to be quite cautious and avoid urban areas to the best of my ability. And in the event I do have to pass through areas that might experience protesting (I unfortunately live within a 10 minute drive of one area that protests still occur) I will be listening to the local PD radio the entire time.

Conflicted Card Game Deck 2: Week 6
Conflicted is a game which consists of multiple decks, each deck containing 52 cards, and on each card is a question. The setting is in an environment where some catastrophic event has occurred. Could be nuclear war, World War III, horrible disease, economic collapse, but regardless of the scenario, no form of government really exists or if it does it is unable to help you. No calling 911, no cell phones, no internet. Its just yourself, maybe friends and family, and possibly a small group of people who can help you. Not necessarily Mad Max/Post Apocalyptic, but cohesive civilization with modern technology at our fingertips is essentially over. Every week I will post one of the cards (selected at random), and each participant writes a response to what they would do in that situation or how they might handle it. I will let the thread run for one week, and then post a new question. Post as much as you like after giving your response. Debating and analyzing is part of the game! I won't be playing as I am the one running the game. There are no right or wrong answers as the game is about hearing how people could navigate a stressful or perilous situation. Deck 2 - Survival Scenarios: King of Hearts

1st Presidential Debate 2020
How to describe last night's debate: Absolute Anarchy What Trump did right: He was on fire and on the offensive. What Trump did wrong: Constantly interrupted Biden and the Moderator, and failed to fully denounce white supremacists. What Biden did right: Played it safe and stuck to the script. What Biden did wrong: Fumble his way periodically throughout the night, and refused to answer questions regarding packing the Supreme Court, how he would handle the pandemic differently, and if he would eliminate the Senate Fillibuster. The winner: You the viewer for making it through the whole thing!

1st Presidential Debate 2020
With the Debates several hours away, I wrote out a list of my thoughts on how the Presidential Debate will pan out. There are 6 major issues that will be discussed, each segment taking 15 minutes. On the issue of the Supreme Court: Both Biden and Trump will be going out swinging! Lots of fiery rhetoric on why it is imperative their political side should be choosing the nominee. Biden will offer support to his voter base in that his party will do everything they can to stop Trump's nominee, maybe even take a few shots at her. Trump will critizise Biden for not even revealing a list of nominees, and he will also state time and again how much of a fine and professional woman his nominee is. On the issue of Trump's tax returns: Trump will state he pays taxes like everyone else and legally takes his Tax Breaks. Biden will go on the offensive claiming their is much more than the public is seeing. He will claim, "If the President has nothing to hide, then why hide them?" That argument didn't go to well in 2016 so I doubt it will be much of an issue this year. On the issue of COVID-19: Biden is going to hammer Trump repeatedly for not doing more to shutdown the entire country earlier. Trump's response will be how the Country did everything we could then, and is doing everything we can now. He will hit back that the Democrats would have thrown a fit had he shutdown the country much earlier. Trump will talk about a possible Vaccine and that multiple potential vaccines are in the works. On the issue of the weakened US Economy: Partially a continuation of the COVID-19 issue. Trump will point to a mostly rebounded Stock and Housing Market. Biden will target the high Unemployment Rate and offer his solution to getting the economy rejuvenated. On the issue of the Protests and Riots: Expect Biden to take a Moderate stance. This is an issue he is really going to struggle with. Siding too much with the Protesters/Rioters is going to hurt him among the Moderate voter base. He will probably sidestep this issue by not going into it too deeply. Biden's response will likely be a basic support for the right to protest by doing it legally. Trump is going to hit a home run on this issue. He will claim Biden is very weak on Rioters and that Trump is a 'law and order' President. He will tout the success of Operation Legend and it stopping the revolving door Criminal Justice System in Democrat controlled cities. Trump will also ravage Democrat politicians who are borderline or outright supporting/enabling the Rioters. Trump may go so far to claim when he wins the election, this rioting and violence will end due to him deploying Federal troops to rioting cities, with or without the consent of the state/local government. On the issue of Election Voting Integrity: Mail in voting will lead to widespread voter fraud, is the first thing Trump will say. He may offer a couple examples or may say very little. Biden will dismiss this 100% and say it is a non-issue. This topic might get a little heated with Trump getting annoyed at Biden for not taking this problem seriously. Except to see mention of if Trump will concede the Election if he loses. On the issue of the Candidates Records: Basically just Resume talk. Biden is going to illustrate his long political career. Stating his success and his position as the former Vice President. Trump will point to his Presidential accomplishments, and being a non establishment candidate that got elected in 2016. A few jabs might get thrown at eachother but it will be a boring section of the debate.

The Elections 2020 Thread
Whoever Trump does announce as his choice, within 48 hours there will be countless people crawling out of the woodwork claiming that years ago the nominee did everything from Rape all the way to cut them off in traffic. The Senate hearings will be an even bigger circus than Brett's hearings.

The Elections 2020 Thread
In the event of a Senate tie for Supreme Court Justice nominations, the Vice President does have the ability to break a tie. So I still think the odds of achieving 51-50 is highly likely.

The Elections 2020 Thread
The stakes of this year's Presidential Election just got a lot higher. Trump already has his list of nominees. Who knows if he will attempt to push a nominee through Senate hearings before the Election. Maybe he will play it safe and do it ASAP, or he might intentionally wait until after the election to drum up Republican voter turnout. Because even if Trump loses or the Senate goes Democrat, Trump can still push a nominee through prior to his term actually ending. Going to be a very interesting next couple weeks.

Uncertain Times
The current chaos of today's world presents many challenges we have been forced to face. Horrible disease, violence, and deadly weather to name a few. I made this poll as I would like to accumulate the opinions of what we personally think is the biggest terrorist threat the United States faces, and how we can respond to it. Our country is becoming increasingly divided and I am very curious where you opinions lie in regards to that threat.

F##K ANTIFA
I'm a life long American history buff, so I look at these things solely on what happened. I have no emotional horse in the race because I have no idea what living was like in 1850... and no one else does either, so forgive me that I don't feel the pain of their plight. I don't see the CSA as traitors. Things were very much different in 1850. No matter how wrong the institution of slavery was, it was the law at the time. More importantly, they are primarily seen as traitors as they lost the war. If the union forces lost and the confederacy won we could easily have been having the conversation in reverse. There is a mocumentary made called CSA The Confederate States of America. It paints an alternate history as to how the US, and rest of the world would have turned out had the Union lost the Civil War. If your into alternate history, I recommend watching it.
