Change my mind...
Don't hold your breath waiting for a good answer. If I had to pick one, some super collectors will be pissed after dumping their entire life savings into Pre 1986 MGs, their value will suddenly become worthless. Little do they realize their collection is essentially antiques and wouldn't exactly lose perceived value. Another takeaway from that is don't put all your investment eggs in one basket.

The People vs O.J. Simpson
I haven't seen it. But some of my Criminal Justice courses in College touched on how the Prosecution did a terrible job. The general consensus seems to be had the Prosecutor kept a better wrap on things, OJ would likely have been convicted. Now there is a little more to the story as the blame doesn't solely lie with the Prosecutor, but also the LAPD because of their extreme carelessness. Both the LAPD and Prosecution felt it was impossible for OJ to win, so they didn't strive for high professionalism. As we know now, that strategy came back to bite them.

Two Weeks' Notice
CN is rather boring, but its the Alliances that really make the game fun. You should reconsider sticking around for a few more weeks. The forums are a cool place to hang out, tell stories, and play random games.

Since you're using this PC mainly for streaming, you could give the Stock Cooler a try and it will probably give you decent Temps. Not as good as the aftermarket, but unless you are running some software that is CPU intensive, you shouldn't have problems.

I add the CPU to the Motherboard, apply the Thermal Paste, and then attach the CPU Cooler. It's much easier not working in the confines of a Case. Once that is assembled I screw in the Motherboard to the Case, then I insert the RAM, GPU, connect the HDD and begin wiring everything in. Now depending on the size/layout of your case it might be easiest to do the Power Supply first. But that is entirely up to you.

Anti static wrist straps aren't really necessary if you take steps that RH outlined. I rarely use one since I'll take precautions before hand.

That part list should serve you well for what you are looking for, Samus. The Cooler you purchased contains some free Thermal Paste to attach the Cooler to the CPU. Stock paste is fine so you don't have to buy aftermarket. I recommend watching a youtube video on how to properly apply thermal paste so that it done evenly. It doesn't have to be perfect but you don't want large globs. I personally went with the Spread Method to better insure even distribution. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYwHB2P6GmM

President Howard Schultz
That is very true. Just because it says 'Made in the USA' shouldn't be an indication of high quality. Within the US Firearms Industry, American made Aks are almost all complete trash, while AKs built from imported parts kits are traditionally much better quality. But why is that you say? Well America is land of the CNC machine, but AKs are riveted and modern ones are stamped steel. 2 Forms of manufacture that don't really exist within the US anymore. So for the American companies to compete with inexpensive imports, they sacrifice quality for to achieve that comparable price point.

I should mention that on the topic of CPU coolers, don't use the stock coolor if it comes with one. Most of them are bad or can't hold up when you start running CPU intensive programs. Yes you can get by, but it's something I would never recommend. This is probably the best inexpensive CPU cooler on market. I bought it for my PC a couple years ago, and have run mutiple CPU heavy programs at the same time and never once ran into problems. I wish I recorded the temps so I could give you some actual Temp numbers, but you can read the reviews of what people say about this cooler. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

I can attest to that. My old AMD FX 8120 made it unbearablely hot in the summer, always had the AC going whenever I would turn on my PC.

That's actually not a bad price for the specs. I've always hated the term 'gaming' laptop because the specs are traditionally way below par, it will only last for about 2 years before it can't play new games, and you pay a hefty premium for them. Nevertheless their are exceptions and I think you found one. It's only weakpoint is the 8 GB of RAM. Depending on what games you plan to play, I would recommend buying 16 GB of RAM and installing it yourself sometime after you buy the laptop.

RH and Rhizo make some excellent points. Definitely check out PC Part picker as this will show you a build you can compile yourself and give you the cheapest cost. My best advice is to get a good CPU. Buy the newest (or if necessary, buy the generation below. Aim for an I5, an I7 will be even better for streaming, but at this point in time it's a little overkill and they can be pricey. I recommend avoiding AMD CPUs, not becaus they are bad, but Intel almost always has the edge. As for the GPU, if you want Nvidia, go with a 1070 or 1080. No need to buy the newest one as that generation still holds high performance.

Your weather?
It's a misspelled Nissan Qashqai. In America, it's called the Nissan Rogue.I used to own a 2009 Rogue for a few years. It was a fun vehicle to drive but I wasn't a fan of the somewhat low MPG.

Craigslist
My friend got one of those once when he was selling some furniture. He was contacted by someone wanting to buy it, saying they were really interested and would send their 'movers' over to pick it up, then give him a check with some extra $ thrown in for waiting around for the 'movers' to come. It all seemed quite legitimate until the person mentioned the 'movers' showing up and giving him extra money, so after that he called it off.

Of course it has nothing to do with those taxes. Between Cuomo and de Blasio, I'm shocked you are still there. Someone's gotta stay behind enemy lines. NY is my where I was born, raised, and where my family is. If I get up and move, whats to say that State I move too won't gradually turn into a Liberal garbage dump? Sometimes we can't run, we gotta stay and do what we can to find that common middle ground with our fellow residents, and encourage them to vote out our tyrannical Governor and his Party. Not that the do nothing/RINO NY GOP is better, but to educate others that they don't have to blindly support a two party system, other 3rd party options due indeed exist. The Governor has some big plans this year since the Democrats now control both the Assembly and the Senate. NY is in for a wild ride and like my fellow Upstate NY residents, we plan to continue fighting using every legal means we got. Couple Court cases working its way up to the Supreme Court. Sometime in February the Federal Second Circuit Court of Appeals will be hearing an argument about our ridiculous Pistol Permit Application process. https://www.leagle.com/decision/infdco20180111d81

Craigslist
Some I'm sure we've all had/heard of some comical Craigslist stories, so I thought it would be fun to share them. I've sold numerous stuff on Craigslist over the years and most of the time its getting emails from members of the Nigerian Royal Family requesting immediate financial assistance in exchange for later paying me tens of thousands of dollars, people offering super low ball offers, or demanding your address so they can come buy it immediately which after receiving it say its too far even though I already told them which area I live in. But surprisingly I've never been offered anything to trade, until today. I've been trying to sell a C02 airsoft gun for a few weeks and someone finally emailed me. They said: "will you trade it for a 500GB HP notebook laptop touchscreen?" No, I don't want your garbage HP computer... I build my own. So what are your best Craigslist/online selling stories? Feel free to include Ebay ones if you have any!

Earlier today it was about -3F with a Wind Chill made it feel like -22F. Also got about a foot and a half of snow yesterday. Lovely NY weather, my Governor thinks that is why NY residents are moving to other states

Wizible: Harry Potter/Magic Meets Escape Room!
The Harry Potter craze is very much alive. It's true that the main Harry Potter series (7 books, 8 movies) ended several years ago but the world is very much alive. There are the Fantastic Beasts movies now. The second one came out in November I think and there is still another to come in that series. After that I fully expect their to be additional spinoffs set in the wizarding world. The following is far too large and they are making way too much money for them not to continue. Even if they didn't continue, Harry Potter was a cultural phenomenon that will stand the test of time. Think along the lines of how popular Star Wars still is today. Even so, Wizible as a company is not infringing on the Harry Potter franchise. Nothing that we are doing is Harry Potter or claims to be associated with Harry Potter. We are just capitalizing on the success of the wizarding world. As you mentioned, wizards, magic, wands, fantasy, RPG's - these are things that have been around and will be around forever. Hell, for all we know, the Wizible franchise might be the next big thing. I'm pretty excited about the story we are developing. Our technology is sort of similar to other things that have been on the market for years but it will be much more advanced. Traditional equipment will not work with our tech. The escape rooms are honestly what has us the most excited right now. The escape room industry is booming and profits can be really high if you have a good concept. Ours will be unlike anything else in the industry. Most escape rooms give you a quick 20 second backstory about "you're trapped in this room and need to escape because XYZ" but that is all you get. Our escapes will be a part of a much larger story and they will allow us to really draw people into that world and place them into the middle of part of that story. Not to mention the fact that half of our escape room will require the use of magic to escape. The comic con we have coming up is a smaller local con in St. Louis but it is going to give us a perfect test market for the experience. We'll basically be beta testing the experience on this group and use their feedback to improve upon things if necessary. If all goes well, Wizible will be holding our own event in March where we will be running our already existing fans through the experience. I noticed your YouTube video, has a link to the GoFundMe Page, but it gives a Page Not Found Error. I had to find it by searching manually. https://www.gofundme.com/wizible-wand-laser-tag Correct. We had a GoFundMe campaign running last year but decided to pull it down to focus on something else first. We will probably run a new GoFundMe campaign or possibly a Kickstarter campaign after we open the escape room business.Any chance some of us IRONers will be able to take part in a Beta Test, geographical location aside? I would personally very much enjoy testing the Wands + Vests and hosting a few 'games' with some of my die hard Harry Potter friends.

Wizible: Harry Potter/Magic Meets Escape Room!
This sounds really cool! I was wondering when a company was going to come up with something like this. And actually make it work properly. When Recoil Laser Tag came out that was WiFi based using your phone, I figured it wasn't too long before someone went a step further. I think one of the coolest aspects of this will be it's it won't be bulky equipment, assuming of course you can keep the wand manageable size and the vests are small. What state are you in or what's state(s) are you planning on starting operations? As I'm sure you already know, renting a storefront in a mall is already immensly popular for doing Escape Rooms. I can just hear kids and teens walking in and screaming, 'Shut up and take my money!'. You are on to something big, and if you can make a reliable product at a reasonable price point, you are going to have one heck of a unique experience. IP issues aside, have you looked into marketing different Wand styles and designs? Not necessarily a replica from Harry Potter, but inspired type Wands that wouldn't require paying royalties? I know a few people who spent hundreds of $ buying their kids replica Harry Potter Wands. Sure it looks really cool, but it's a non functioning piece of stained wood which ended up sitting on their desks. I can only fathom how much they would have spent on a fully interactive replica Wand, allowing then to play actual games with their friends. As Lysistrata touched on LARPing, have you considered marketing a set of products to LARPing communities? If the technology is successful, it theoretically should be easily adapted to Staffs, Bows, Crossbows, and other 'ranged' type weapons. The vests might look out of place so it would have to be a very minimal thing. I'm really looking forward to seeing this pan out and I will definitely share it with some people I know who are/were heavily involved with the Harry Potter community. Do you have a rough cost estimate for the Escape Room as well as buying your own Wand/Vest? Approximately how far until people are able to purchase their own?

Nationalism is dumb
There is actually a small Yellow Vest movement gaining traction in NY. They held a protest on Jan 1st in front of the Federal Reserve Bank in NYC. Only a handful of people showed up so no media coverage, but allegedly more protests are going to be announced in the near future.

Nationalism is dumb
Like everything out there, unless it's taken to an extreme, I don't see an issue with Nationalism. There is nothing wrong with taking pride in your heritage, culture, and being a productive citizen of your country while striving to achieve the absolute highest.

Samus' morality test #4
I literally just had this same discussion with a friend the other day. Natural instinct is to slam on the breaks and swerve, which leads to overcompensating, you hitting oncoming traffic, wrecking your own car by possibly flipping it, or just maybe nothing bad happens and everyone is okay. I'm not that person. I've struck possums and squirrels before that appeared on the other side of a hill's crest. And each time I didn't swerve but applied the brakes. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. If I swerve, destroy my car, and become paralyzed or die, who will pay my medical/funeral costs? Who will pay to have my car replaced (insurance covers most of that dependent on current vehicle value)? Who will pay for my families' expenses once my life insurance runs out in 10 years? Who will raise my children while my wife goes back to work? Because I can guarantee you, it won't be whoever was standing in the middle of the road. Not because they are meanspirited, but because they don't have the money. Somewhat heartless? Maybe, but I've watched plenty of dash cam footage where people swerve to avoid a pedestrian, a car break checking them, a car rapidly changing multiple lanes, and when they swerve it becomes bumper cars and vehicles ending up on their roofs. Thankfully we live in the day where automobiles have relatively high safety ratings, and I only drive large vehicles, so I'll hit the brakes and take my chances in a crash. I like to help others and would hate to see someone die. But my first and foremost job is for me to make it home safely to my family.
