Thats a pretty strange set of assumptions Thats a pretty strange set of assumptions. You are saying almost everyone looks scummy except Rafay who is assuredly confirmed townie? Why? Because he has claimed to role block Nerau. Unless Neraus and Rafay are scum together (which also has its set of drawback..you id one the other is doomed), why would Rafay say he role blocked Nerau. If he was scum masquerading as the role blocker he would have most assuredly claimed to have blocked one of the guys who were night killed. Also we can not totally count out Nerau as scum. The only info we got from Rafay's role block is that he is not the Vig or the SK. He could be one of the scum who didnt send in the NK (but his partner did).

Actually just re-read the rules and although its not too clear but I think its enough: So I guess night kills can be done even if the Cannibal himself is killed that night.

The rules dont state it, thats correct. But I think the standard procedure (in previous MAFIA games) is that if a role gets killed his actions that night will have no affect. Maybe the MOD can clarify this point. Also good point that the SK didnt get targeted this night. If he did we would have seen 2 nks not 3. I dont see the Vig hitting Martino..as he looked pretty townie to me. He either hit RoT because he was inactive or he hit Kazio because Rafay (the only probable confirmed townie) was voting for him. If its the 2nd case then it was not a good decision imo. Kazio looked townie to me too. But then again Kazio may have been scum. So who did the SK/ scum target? Martino was pushing pretty hard for a kevinH lynch. If kevinH is scum, he may have NKed Martino to take out his biggest threat. On the other hand, the SK may have targeted Martino to throw suspicion on KevinH. The SK is in a unique position as he wants both the scum and the townies eliminated so it wouldnt matter for him if kevinH turned out to have been scum or townie. So in a way kevinH may have been setup to be lynched on this day (either by SK or by scum => which would imply kevinH is not scum). Any case, who Rafay role blocked during the night may also shed some light on this situation.

This is not correct. We know 3 kills were performed in the night. Which means all kills went through and neither the Vig nor the SK got killed (as they were able to send in their kills). There is a probability that one of the scum got killed but I wont bet anything on that. I would say 3 town aligned roles were killed..we dont know if we lost any more power roles. Also we dont actually have to wait for Rafay to start discussion. I see a lot of interesting info from the night kills anyway. For example, why was Martino killed? Why didnt the Vig hit kevinH when he was the second most popular person voted as scum? Why was RoT targetted? Did the scum target him or the SK or the vig? If we start looking for answers to these questions I think we will be able to start seeing patterns. I will post more detailed thoughts on these later on. But for now, I would say we are 4 townies down. So instead of 9 vs 3 we are down to 5 vs 3. We need to hit gold on the lynch this day or we are in a really bad position.

This is the post in question. Rafay went up to 6 votes (pretty fast bandwagon there by killgor and CS) but Euclid unvoted almost right away followed by CS. Rafay had 4 votes on him when he roleclaimed. So yeah he should have tried to defend himself without roleclaiming. If anything the sequence of events at that time make killgor and CS look scummier then it does Rafay.

Not clear on what you mean by going all the way to help the town. If there were 6 votes then his hand may have been forced to reveal about the PR. Still poor play as he should have tried to defend himself against the accusations instead of role-claiming. I will go back and check how many votes he had. But still that does not id him as scum, as there are two scum factions. If Rafay is scum and claimed to be a PR that would mean he is doing that with knowledge that he will instantly become a target to be hit at night by the other scum faction. So he is just delaying being killed from the day to night. Not sure how that would help the scum.

If Rafay did not false-claim, then the above info is interesting. If he can affect night actions that means he is not the cop, as the cop can only investigate. That means he is either the Vigilante or the roleblocker. Since he also says the town wont be at a disadvantage, that means (to me) he is not the vigilante, as the vig has a good probability of killing a townie or another PR. That means he is the roleblocker. Of course, theres a chance the roleblocker can cause disadvantage to the townies if he picks the cop to roleblock but the chance of that is very slim (1/12). In view of these I will recommend not lynching Rafay as lynching him really does not help the town. Let the scum use their actions to take him out. I also do not think Rafay false-claimed. If he was scum I dont see the benefits of false claiming on Day 1. It is much easier for the scum to false claim on day 2 or day 3 if they happen to kill a PR the previous nights. I think it was very very poor decision to reveal that he is a PR so early and with only .what..3 votes on him...so its just bad play on his part, which does not equal to being a scum.

My timestamp say his post on the IRON forums was on 8:30 AM, May 1, 2013. His post on the TOP forum was on 4:30 AM, May 1. So its just a matter of different timezone settings in the forum. Tbh I would like for you to be more specific about your FoS at me in #146 as well. Your case against me seems to be build on: 1. You reading into my posts that I throw "wild accusations" and I say definite things like "he must be scum." 2. You having a different opinion than me about what useful info there is on Day 1 (vote records, active vs inactive). 3. Me commenting on your choice to vote reign of terror rather than Xarastier. Ad 1. I have done neither as I explained in #149 to which IIRC you never answered. Ad 2. Do you consider everyone that disagrees with you on something suspicious? Ad 3. Clearly I was just prompting you to clarify, which you have since done. All in all a pretty weak case I'd say. But maybe I underestimate you and you were throwing that FoS at me mainly to hunt scum amongst those that sheep to it. If that's the case. Good job. I should probably give you some town points for that. Basically my reasons for FOS that I gave in the post you referenced to. You came across as trying too hard to lynch some people based on just Day 1 discussions. I see you already admit that Commander Shepard may be a noob town --> exactly the point I was making earlier..new players tend to post a lot and inevitably end up posting scummy things. We should not lynch on Day 1 based on that but use that info as reference for scum hunting on later days. I personally think he is a noob town. I dont have a clearer read on you yet. Rafay seems to be a prime candidate for lynching. His posts have been scummy, but having played with him a few games already, that is nothing new. So he may indeed be scum but it is really hard to read him as he is always defensive. So i really want some more posts from other people who have been gliding by. Apart from killgor and xarastier, Nerau was on my list but he has posted since then and mentioned RL issues, lyner has also been pretty quite lately.

I am happy with RoTs responses. Unvote Pretty much is active now so its good. I went back and skimmed through the posts from the beginning and apart from killgor's last 3 post I also found he has been pretty non-commital and commenting as if from the outside (not taking an active part in the discussions). According to me, he has contributed the least on Day 1 apart from Xarastier. Since the replacement still has not come in..
