  1. I see no need to rush into things, we still have 6 days and so I'll wait another day before hammering the last vote to see if they respond, it is christmas week after all
  2. gotta say, hating christmas sounds like scum... Anyways, Merry Christmas to all
  3. Sorry again for not talking much, I got the stomach flu on Friday and am just recovering, so I haven't had my mind on this game, but I don't have any insights I can offer, I am very confused as to who could have the death notes, but it is seeming we have to get a lynch that isn't just the time running out because the scum are gaining a large advantage.
  4. I am going to have to join the no lynch vote; I don't think we should lynch Xarastier just because he acts a little different than we are used to. I also think we should allow the circles of people talking to grow a bit and develop more, because it seems like they have the larger chance to come up with real evidence. Vote: No Lynch
  5. Sorry I haven't been saying much, its my finals week and so I have enough time to read through the posts, just not think through things very hard. I'm done with exams by Friday, and so I'll have some more engaging input then
  6. I lol'ed, but for Xarastier, why do you want to lynch Lorikz Kain, killgor said nothing about him, so what's your reason for wanting to lynch him? The point of lynching on the first day is to get a read on people's actions and motives early, so in later days they will be more relevant, but you haven't provided a reason; it doesn't make sense to me to vote to kill someone when we don't know what abilities the townies may have, and no evidence. We need 8 votes to lynch, there is no way that a vote to lynch or not on the first day with 16 people will give us enough information to do anything on day 2 or whichever day, but if we wait a day or two for the townies with special abilities, and there are probably a great many since there are so many people, then we can actually do something, but with 16 people in the game, we have a lot of time to work with before the scum have a majority vote.
  7. Yeah, I'm also really confused by the stats, because, from the example role, they don't seem to have any effect on what abilities someone has. Anyways, I don't really think we know enough about the mechanics of how the death notes work, or of what possible roles are out there, so I'm saying we pass a day, and try to figure things out after stuff has happened Vote: No Lynch
  8. It divides up people into teams like mafia, there's a sherrif, deputies, outlaws and a renegade. The sherrif is the only one who reveals their role to everybody. The deputies win when the outlaws and renegade are dead and the sherrif isn't, the outlaws just need to kill the sherrif, and the renegade has to be the last one standing. Everyone sits in a circle, and then gets a hand of cards. Each person has a set amount of health and a special ability, like draw an extra card. To kill anyone you need to shoot them until their health is gone, and they don't have any cards that can give it back. The thing is the Bang! card, the card that deals 1 dmg can only be played once in a turn, and so there's a lot of back and forth. It's really fun because if the sherrif gets the wrong impression, they may kill their deputy or something and then they lose all their cards.
  9. I'll play again, just don't make me the cop, I seem to be bad at it with you
  10. Hey, have you people ever heard of the game Bang! ? It's basically a card game version of mafia set in the old west and is pretty much awesome
  11. Fun game all around, I'm finally starting to get the hang of mafia
  12. I'm going to have to go with Aenir on this one, I blocked him again last night as he said, and somebody died. Aenir couldn't have killed anyone, I have been shown to be innocent by virtue of roleblocking leonidas, and nobody is questioning EM's townliness. Anyways: Vote: Chaplain of Death
  13. Sorry, realized I forgot two things, I was suspicious of Aenir because of how quickly he voted day 1 also Vote: leonidas
  14. Well this is where we stood yesterday with who people are, I'm going to roleclaim as a townie roleblocker. The first day I roleblocked Kaz because I rolled a die and his number came up, then until last night i tried blocking Aenir because I wasn't sure if I blocked one mafia it blocked all mafia kills, and then last night I roleblocked leonidas because I was suspicious after his clinching vote to lynch D3mon. This is what I'm saying from what happened to me last night, I don't know if there's a doctor who had a successful save last night, or what have you.
  15. Yeah, the length of the post scared me at first. I have some hunches, but I want to hear what EM got before I say them
  16. I'm going to hold off judgement for a few days since we still have a week
  17. I'm going to have to vote to lynch Imran here are my reasons: 1. EM says he has a gun, so there is a higher probability that Imran is a scum than is a role that will have a gun (vig/miller), so if he is indeed scum, EM is very likely trustworthy,if he is not any gun carrying role, EM has put himself out there in a position that is easily tested. 2. Aenir has been defending Imran rather forcefully, so if Imran is scum, then Aenir would be another likely candidate for being a scum. If Imran happens not to be scum, and is the miller, Aenir seems more trustworthy because it was his idea in the first place. 3. CoD is either made to look very guilty because Imran is not a scum, or quite trustworthy because he is. 4. If I were to vote CoD, it would only give insight into 2 people, mainly EM and Imran, so in this vein, I have to choose the option that gives more information. Vote: Imran
  18. I voted no lynch on night one because it seemed to me that we had very good odds for lynching a potentially useful townie. I think that the mafia can only kill one or two people in a night, and so with everyone in the game having some power role, we had better chances of something definitive benefiting the town during the night that would outweigh the costs of a mafia kill. As to the guilt/innocence of people, Imran could also be the Miller if I understand the role correctly, and so appear to be guilty when he isn't, so we can't rule him out of being town. I'm not saying he's innocent, but the town has an advantage in the number of power roles, and so lynching should be a completely thought out process.
  19. But still, kevnh said he would inform people whether they were roleblocked or the action was canceled, so it shouldn't have a anything to do with powers
  20. I don't know if we really need a day 1 lynch, because last night the scum were stopped, so I'm thinking that someone got their guess right with a roleblock/saving a person. It doesn't really make sense to me with so many power roles that we just start killing off people when no one has died. Sure both sides have power roles, but with no vanilla roles, the town can actually accomplish something during the night phase more than just waiting for the cop to ID each and every scum. Vote: No Lynch
  21. Well I think it may be that everyone got to use their night actions instead of it being a night 0 as Kaz says. KevinH specifically makes the difference between roleblocking and protecting a person, which to me indicates that it is very likely roleblocker and a doctor of some sort are in the game. So it could be that the town just got lucky and some combination of the roleblockers and doctors manage to guess the correct people and prevent a townie from dying.
  22. Well poop on it, good luck townies
  23. I'd be interesting in being a mod at some point in the future, but since I'm only in my second game, I'd like a little more experience first
  24. I have to agree with cam177, the seer doesn't seem to have enough info to definitively declare someone as the wolf, and if we lynch wrong the game is lost. The worst that can happen if we wait a day is the seer is lynched and it comes down to a guessing game of the last 3 people, but if we mislynch today we definitely lose. Vote: No lynch
