Hey, it was all messed up when I got it so IDK.

This way, I get rid of all the malware. Besides, theres nothing I wanted on the computer. I have 2. I think if you can't use windows well, it's probably a bad idea to switch to linux because there's even more incompatability problems. but that's just my personal opinion. Yeah, like no photoshop.... But other than that, I like Linux so far.

Yeah, system restore pretty much sucks. There was nothing on the computer I wanted so its best to wipe it out and install a new OS.

Thanks everyone for the advise. I had my cousin just wipe the hardrive and put Linux on it. Now I just have to learn how to work Linux.

Yeah, I'm sure it's either a virus or someone deleted things that shouldn't have been deleted. Apperently someone put.porn on it from a different device. Makes me wonder who's had their hands all over this. :VBut if I can't fix It.myself, it's garbage to me. I'll just throw it away.

Does anyone have any idea what this means? Keeps popping up on a PC someone gave me. I have a feeling someone deleted a bunch of important shit, as it acts weird and keeps telling me that the downloader is not installed, which then prompts me to download a downloader. Which apparently can't happen because there's no downloader.... :/

So... My sister got a brand new laptop and.gave me her old one. It's a Windows XP. Perfectly suitable for me, unfortunately, it's been a good 3 years since I've gotten really savvy with a PC. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get a free copy of Photoshop? Normally I'd have 2 hard copies. One I.got.from college and an older one. Unfortunately one was stolen, the other I accidentally left in the CD drive when I sold my desktop. I figure that paying for.it twice, especially paying once for the Adobe CS4 College Suite Package is enough. (Not fucking cheap). Might.take me a couple hours to get reacquainted, but if you think my phone art is good..... I can do so much more in PS. And I don't plan on buying it a third time. I couldn't even afford a laptop, hence the free. I'm OK with something as simple as PS 7.
