  1. I wasn't going to flat out say that last part, but it did cross my mind...
  2. I've leaned towards Robert being town, but he always pushes me to not do that so tried to look at it objectively. We can only judge him by his words and any known night actions. The last minute switch to no lynch, the double unvote of R2V, and then the unnecessary half-claim? That claim certainly doesn't make him town, but it was a bold claim if anyone was watching him and refuted what he did so I do believe it. If you aren't his partner in crime then I feel even better where my vote is currently placed.
  3. I feel like I am caught in a thinking trap; each new post I read from killgor, iSocialism or R2V makes me suspect them more. So for fun and to help me sort my thoughts, I started building a timeline to see what each of them were doing. It morphed into something bigger by the time I was done, but I think I will keep using it and go back and fill in some gaps. I realize I also started putting more "notes to self" in there on day 2, but will leave them. The lazy guy in me says maybe someone else will link to a tree stump and save me the energy. Day 1: - iSo votes for EM then killgor votes for EM. - Robert replies to a bandwagon comment from iSo, killgor switches vote to Robert (4th vote on Robert) - Imran calls out R2V for spamming and votes him, iSo and R2V change votes to Imran based on this - iSo posts to defend R2V saying he always spams, followed by a post from killgor changing vote to the Kevin bandwagon of 3 votes; highest current votes were 2 on Imran and 3 (now 2) on Robert - Lyner votes R2V bringing him to 3 votes and tie with Kevin - iSo changes vote to Ovid and Ovid removes vote from Robert and votes iSo - Spaz puts a 4th vote on R2V, Robert removes the 4th vote on R2V, killgor puts the 4th vote right back on him - Missed this before but Robert unvotes R2V in a second post calling out killgor for the 4th vote and votes for killgor, quickly followed by EM also voting killgor - R2V switches vote from Imran to killgor - Spaz removes R2V vote - killgor now at 3 votes; Robert, EM, and R2V - R2V now at 3 votes; Imran, Lyner, and killgor - Robert, EM, and R2V pull votes off killgor and vote no lynch, day ends So during day one when this happened: I decided to pay more attention to EM and Robert on day 2, especially as they were a few of the last no lynch guys, and with Roberts claim that he visited EM with no response from EM (or anyone) until I pointed it out. Day 2: - EM immediately posts its cruel to kill a new player and must have been performed by a new player. Last round was my first game played and nobody jumped over new players for my night one arrow to the knee. - EM tosses a bad joke vote at Robert and then Robert reveals who he visited - Imran then posts we got zero useful information...no mention of Robert's post - EM then takes over the Preston position telling us how it is useful to lynch townies for information (regurgitating what Imran was saying) - Robert posts his list. If Robert is scum, I'd guess EM and iS0 are his partners based on his comments. Doesn't seem to jive with voting patterns from EM and iSo, so maybe only one of them would also be scum or they are really good at coordinating efforts to not look like they are working together. - iSo votes for EM (here we go again with them voting for each other) - Imran votes for Big Ego out of the blue (new guy vote) followed by EM doing the same - Robert chimes in that Rafay and Shamus are surprise kills N1. Shouldn't those be the kind of kills scum look for? Not the obvious ones that may be watched or protected but the ones that the rest of us expect would be safe? - TB votes for iSo and mentions the Robert claim - killgor shows up and says he has 4 pages to catch up on then 13 minutes later says no new interesting posts...then jumps onto the 3 vote Big Ego wagon - R2V shows up to put 3rd vote on Lyner to tie a bandwagon - Robert calls him out and switches to R2V - R2V Omgus vote change to Robert, but this time nobody calls out R2V for OMGUS vote (Imran and EM) like they did on Big Ego - EM remarks on the Robert claim a few pages back but votes for Kevin for not saying anything about it instead of iSo who had voted for him and missed it - Kevin gets pretty defensive with that vote and starts talking about a tree stump again...need to google mafia tree stump - killgor unvotes - Lyner pops in to up post count and tell us he will post later - Spaz votes on Big Ego - Robert makes a common sense post about claiming if he had true scum info on EM, but then why even post his visit and that he has a role if he didn't gain useful info? - Lyner votes for Big Ego and states the timing of Roberts claim was interesting. Does this mean he questions why even claim at all like I am thinking? He supports the Rafay and Shamus deaths as a noob action. - iS0 feels pressured by my post and vote to remove the vote from EM. Not sure EM is a townie or that they aren't having fun at our expense, but they may realize the mistake they made if they are scum. Worth watching. - Robert gives a lame reason for the half-claim, he wasn't in jeopardy of being lynched when he did it. - killgor pries for more info from Robert, followed by a vote on R2V for trying to bandwagon, when killgor has said multiple times he support bandwagons for lynches I am caught up to this point. Will probably go back in to clean it up for myself this weekend and see if I can see who else appears to be working together, but I did find some very interesting and useful information by doing this.
  4. LOL! If I had a killing role, I don't have Shamus on my list to kill. Second off, I like to do things tactically. This is funny coming from you of all people. Let me throw a monkey wrench in this and everybody gets a good laugh. I didn't visit Shamus last night. I visited YOU Electric Mango! Now Discuss. Funny how no one has even alluded to this quote except for TBRaiders. I did not want to comment until everyone else had a time to chime in but that has came and went. This is the biggest piece of eveidence given today. This makes Kevin seem vey suspicious. Why? Who else claims that Day 1 means nothing and we should only lynch based on what we now know after power roles have had a chance to do their thing? Well we had a power role visit me and Kevin of all people never references that? C'mon! Plus Kevin actually voted for someone on Day 1. He later switched back to no lynch but his pattern had already been broken. I'm pretty much feeling this one guys. Kevin is scum. I didn't want to be obvious with it because it seemed easy to miss by scum if they weren't reading carefully, plus I was waiting to see if Robert tossed a vote your way or if more info came out by either of you. Quite a few people have posted and either missed it or ignored it. I was assuming many didn't want to look like scum by pressuring a possible townie into claiming what they did or find out, but I expected at least some discussion about it when the debate about no useful information was going on.
  5. Totally stealing credit for list starting, but its all good. What, I think the line up is, is most likely one scum on the lynching side, and maybe two scums on the no-lynch bandwagon. With this I think we might have a late stagger on the No-lynch side. leaving me to look at Em and killgor. R2V is a new so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Vote Electric Mango I was suspicious of you day 1, you had as much incentive to kill S.amus as anyone, and now you are voting for someone that if you read between the lines of some of today's posting you would realize is likely not a suspect. For that last part, I am making some assumptions on the information posted but it is the only nugget of useful information I've seen posted and the only people who I think may have missed it are the people who don't need to be looking for it. Vote: iSocialism
  6. You do seem to be a bit more preston-like this round and less of what you were last round. We read sermons from preston on why we should lynch someone, even though all we did was kill an inactive townie tracker and it didn't give us any good info going into day 2. What gave us info was all the night action claims. I realize that was probably unusual, especially after the lack of useful information shared with the group today. Robert, I get what you are saying about my day 1 list but that doesn't mean it hasn't changed for today. I also got a chuckle reading back and seeing my initial suspect list from the previous game. I was replying to Imran and his posts about how we blew it by not lynching someone on day 1 and what my thought process was at the time. Realizing we either have a SK or possibly two scum groups forces me to relook at my list and adjust.
  7. Just read my post and wanted to clarify that I meant as my allies in CN and friends, I've had quite a bit of IRC, skype, and forum chats with them so feel like I have a decent handle on their posting habits and style. We have not chatted about this mafia game outside this thread.
  8. When I first read this, I thought it was one of the dumbest things I'd seen yet in here and started typing up a post about why it was dumb, but somewhere in the middle of my post I realized the value that a lynch could provide if we actually lynched scum; all the early people voting that scum would look very town. Had we lynched a townie, which is very likely what would happen, all we would have done was make more townie's look suspicious by jumping onto the lynch bandwagon. The example I have for this is I wanted to toss a vote onto R2V day 1. He came across scummy to me early on and I had my eye on him before the wagon started. The biggest reason I didn't vote for him was because had he ended up being town, I would have looked very scummy jumping onto that wagon late. I also was suspicious of a lot more people than just him, especially some of our more vet players who appeared to be pushing for lynching. My gut worked out well last round, suspecting those who were against day one no-lynch. I am going to toss this out there and see what happens. This was my final day 1 groups: 1) Road2Victory, iSocialism, and killgor - Hadn't played with any of these guys before (and don't chat with any of them to really know outside mafia) so was working really hard to get a read on them. They were each high on my suspect list from their posting. I was willing to cut some slack based on day 1 fun, but if my feet were held to the fire where I had to vote, I would have jumped onto one of these bandwagons. 2) Electric Mango, Imran Ehsan, Spaztik Muffin, and S.amus - This was my next group of suspicious players. EM and Imran are experienced players while Spaz and S.amus I hadn't played with before so didn't really have a full read on them, but all four were tossing votes around and made my list of players to keep an eye on. With three top suspects on my board, I did lean town for each of these. 3) Lyner, Rafay, Robert2424, and KevinH - This was my group of experienced players who are pro enough to not give anything away if they are scum, but who I was less suspicious by their posting and voting. Lyner and Rafay were just active enough to stay under the radar, while Kevin and Robert were posting machines. Seemed like fairly normal behaviour for day one from each. 4) Big Ego and Ovidsidios - This was my least suspicious group. I might be a little biased because I invited them to play, but I've also chatted quite a bit with both and I have zero scum vibe from either of them.
  9. Can you give us just a little more reasoning in that vote? I'm curious if we are beyond random voting or speculation and there is a deeper reason to suspect him.
  10. A greed. A Serial Killer does seem more likely. One with a power role? I guess it doesn't say what his role is, but his title was patrolman and someone else speculated he was our cop. It made sense to me. I've read back through Rafay's posts and can't see why he would be targeted by a vigilante. He only had a handful of posts and didn't give a scum vibe. Samus came across as town to me and having fun tossing around votes to see where he could get a reaction. He either got one or somebody wants it to look like he got one.
  11. Good to finally see a new day, but sad to lose two town; one with a power role. I have to agree about two groups of scum or one group with a SK. I am not sure why a person would just disappear. I've went back and read this thread multiple times the last few days and will have to do so again now that we see who was targeted.
  12. Just got back last night from the road trip in hell...if hell was frozen over. Landed in Dallas Friday at noon local time. My ride didn't show until 4pm due to the bad weather and all the accidents in Dallas. We made it to Denton, Texas by 10 pm and decided to call it a day; 45 miles in 6 hours, stop and go traffic, black ice, cars all over the place. Left Denton at 9 the next morning, roads were ice and it was freezing rain. Was making decent time for the conditions, but about 15 miles north of Guthrie, Oklahoma right rear tire blew out. The entire underbelly of the truck was covered in frozen ice and couldn't get the small jack to lift the truck so waited 2.5 hours for road-side assistance to help. Pushed through to Wichita, Kansas that night, then finished driving the rest of the way yesterday. So tired of snow and ice.
  13. I am chill. Just sorting my list daily from who seems most scummy to least scummy and there are way more names at the top of the list than the bottom.
  14. Unless there are 6-8 scum this game, it is amazing how many of you come across scummy with your voting and change of votes. I know a few of you have to be town, but I bet the scum are loving you guys.
  15. I can't tell on my laptop if I bolded that or bolded the entire post. VOTE: NO LYNCH
  16. Dude, I am on the no-lynch and will vote for it now because we are not in jeopardy of a no-lynch ending the day, but I was holding my vote because of what happened last round. We had like five pages of convo on it. I also like the energy of the newer players and don't mind a lot of fluff posts on day one. Vote: No Lynch
  17. Pretty sure that if we hit full majority, the day ends right away and that person is lynched. If we have a half majority at deadline, that person is lynched.
  18. We had this exact same conversation last game and real non-shocker was to find out the guys speaking out against the no-lynch the most (preston and d3mon) were scum. I already have my eye on those of you not only throwing out votes willy nilly, but jumping in as the 3rd and 4th vote to bandwagon. If we are going to random lynch someone, I'd rather it be those folks. Otherwise I will keep holding on to my no vote.
  19. Does Robert already have four votes? I am a little concerned about such an early bandwagon.
  20. I expected this to start before I went on back to back weeks of business trips, but the good news is I am close to finishing the first week. I am on the road right now and will be home Friday, but obviously have evening internet access on the road. Next week is a little different, where I will have evening access Monday to Thursday, but will be out of the net all of Friday and possibly Saturday as I am driving home with family instead of flying. Excited to start a new game. I had a lot of fun last round and feel like I learned quite a bit. It will be interesting to see if I can spot things better this time around.
  21. Ready to play again.
  22. I don't think we were off track when all the pieces came together. We knew most of everyone else's N1 and N2 actions by then. When I outed that Nick/Mario had targeted ABD, who else was left to have targeted him? The only way anything else worked was for there to be 4 scum. I was still hesitant at that point thinking there were 4 scum, but the more experienced players seemed to be confident and they were right. Lyner getting D3mon N1 was the key to this being so quick for us. edit: "off track" is what I meant to say. Game is over so figure I can fix a typo now
  23. I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to playing future games.
  24. I figured EM would jail him, ABD would watch me, and I chose to role-cop on Rafay (and am comfortable he is town). I semi-debated jailkeeping you Robert because you will end up being the only townie with just one name, but you come across so town so I didn't. Vote Mariomario190
