  2. LOL... you wanna know bad? His Primary Care Provider is a damned quack. I literally believe, that I know more than him. We'll actually be switching soon, since this one was dropped into his lap since his last PCP retired.
  3. Samus: It's probably good that I did get that message. I've been so scattered, that I probably wouldn't have come back without it, because I wouldn't have remembered.
  4. I'm guessing hospital #1 had doctors get their licenses out of cracker jack boxes. I absolutely HATE them (but I love the cafe and cafeteria though). The volunteers at hospital #1 (yeah, that's right, many people that work there, are volunteers, but that's no surprise) were nice and actually understanding of things, but they weren't there to give me diagnoses or the like, they were there to do their job, which, frankly, was to keep my ass calm. I did do a LOT of coloring book pages during that time though, so there is that, but even then, it doesn't excuse the hospital. Oh well, we'll be taking a trip down there again to pick up more of his records and possibly proceed with a lawsuit. There is just too much coincidence with the chain of events to make it seem 'normal'.
  5. What can I say? I guess I'm one of those "I'm here, but I'm not, but I am." for a little while anyway.
  6. Funny you mention that... We plan on it. Right now I'm waiting for his medical records from the first hospital. I specifically demanded ALL records, including images, doctor notes, when medication was dispensed and what, etc... We're extremely mad about the overall experience with them. Hell, the family that was helping to keep ME calm? Their mother AND father went in to ICU with the flu. Neither of them made it out.
  7. Washington State, and yeah, it's one I'd prefer to NOT go through again!
  8. Howdy ccabal! Yes people, I AM alive... I think.

  10. Dear IRON, Well, I am guessing that you probably didn't expect to see me back after all this time. Well, I am somewhat back. I'll give you a semi-brief rundown of all the crap that's gone on my life since my disappearance. March 28th, my partner of 6 years, was coming down with what we thought was a cold or some such. We figured if it didn't get any better, we would take him to the hospital, get some pills, etc... Come March 29th. It got 'slightly' better, but during the evening, things took a turn for the worse with his inability to breathe, so we called 911. He was taken care of, and put in the ambulance, and taken to the nearest hospital here. Okay, cool. I'll go see him in the morning (it was already around 10:30 pm) Get a call around 1:15 am, saying is getting a life flight 90 miles away due to Flu/Pneumonia, Sepsis/Septic Shock, and Myocardial Infarction. Umm... okay, not good. So, instead of just going 15 miles north of me, I now have to go 90 miles south. Oh! Guess who can't drive! That's right! This guy! So, that evening, I am packing a suitcase, because if he got dropped down south, then it's something major. So, 7am that morning, I am in a cab, to the Amtrak station, hop a train down south. Get in, deal with the hotel, and relax for a bit. Oh, mind you, my lower back is killing me (I slept very wrong apparently), so walking is a chore at this time. Well, I end up checked into the hospital, CT Scan, MRI, etc... and then let go with some muscle relaxers and hydrocodone. Fast forward to the next day (after my back has relaxed), see him, and then I get ready to leave and feel ill. Guess who had ALSO gotten the flu! Yup! Me! The joys... Anyway, I was hospitalized for a night. I immediately wanted out of there because I had a ton of things to do, such as visiting my partner in the same hospital. They let me go when I decided to throw a bottle into the wall that was filled with saline solution. Now, during this time that I'm visiting said hospital, and my partner, it was VERY touch and go, mainly because the moronic doctors never once listened to me, nor did the nurses take my advise into consideration, for anything. In fact, I was given the 'option' of pulling the plug at least three times! I told them to basically fuck off. He was intubated, on a ventilator, and being given some pretty hard drugs (drug thinners, full spectrum antibiotics, etc...). As I'm walking and, now ranting in the phone to my parents (they came down twice to make sure *I* am doing okay), yelling loud enough about how the doctors are incompetent students who need to be in a new line of fucking work. Well, that now triggers security for some odd reason (I thought punching the elevator button would have, but nope!), so for the next few days, I'm followed by them. I did meet an interesting family while down there. In fact, if it wasn't for them, I probably would have been barred from the campus (basically, the last time, when I almost DID get barred from the campus, they told the security that they got me under check, and explained to the security what was going on, so I got lucky there I suppose, LOL) Well, fast forward again to the final two days of his being at this supposedly 'wonderful' hospital, filled with greedy doctors who will guinea pig medication on you for profit, I get an advocate (oh, fun fact: I also have Power of Attorney, so nothing is off limits to me with his healthcare). I tell them exactly what is going on. Couple days later? I get a call from the hospital: "We feel it best if he be moved to a hospital that can deal directly with his issues and concerns. If you authorize it, we can have him sent there as early as tomorrow (4/20)." I authorized it faster than she could get the 'we can have him...' part out, and he was moved out of ICU the evening of the 20th of April. Okay, so now hospital number TWO! Yay! It's a bit smaller, but hey, specialty care. He was still a bit out of it up until about the 1st of May, when he started snapping out of his overtly drug induced amnesia. He was wondering why he was peeling (his skin, everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE, including there... and there.... and there). I told him that they used a medication called cefepime (full spectrum antibiotic), which he is apparently allergic to/had an interaction with another medication, which the doctors and nurses at the previous hospital would have known (I looked it up, it interacts with Lasix (furosemide)), so that was the incompetence of them. Anyway, moving on, he started getting much better, and is on medication that works for his issues. Just for fun, here is a rundown of the issues so far: 1. Flu/Pneumonia (which supposedly took 5 weeks to get rid of) 2. Sepsis/Septic Shock 3. Myocardial Infarction (Apparently the sepsis caused him to have a minor heart attack) 4. Renal Failure (creatinine levels were in the 3-5 range, with optimal being 1. Currently still around 2.95) 5. Heart Failure (He already had a quadruple bypass, and is still only pumping about 20%, when a regular heart pumps about 50-60%) 5a. They had to be careful with the intubation tube, as when it was moved, it would cause him to bradycardia (<40 HR). *I* found out that was due to the tube being placed in wrong, and rubbing up against a nerve. 8. He was intubated, which later was turned into a tracheotomy, which was later removed after he had recovered more. 9. And that's just the main stuff. So, with that, I am temporarily back due to all the medications that have to be dealt with, appointments that have to be kept, appointments that need to be made, and overall, a lot of other things. I probably won't be able to participate in wars or the like for quite some time, but right now, we'll have to see how things play out. And I also apologize if my thinking is off a bit, but I'm still having to process all of his medical records (I have copies of EVERYTHING), so yeah, bit jumbled. Feel free to ask away, or whatever, but I figured I should at LEAST give a better explanation as to what was going on.
  11. I HATE when they do that! Lying fascist bastards! LOL Fermion once had me pick up ointment for his 'rash'.
  12. I had my fun with P&W, but it just wasn't what I was looking for. Quite frankly, I play on GlobalPowers on reddit.
  13. Yeah, I've worked in customer service helping people with their bills and whatnot. It's not difficult to give good customer service. Apparently though, now and days, this is the standard: CSR: "Hi, how may we help you?" Me: "I have a problem with such and such thing." CSR: "Can you please repeat all the information the last person requested you give them?" Me: -- Gives information.... again -- CSR: "Sorry, there is nothing we care to help you with." -- Hangs up/exits
  14. I would say this is where we should declare war on big companies, like Sony, but then we'd have to add on pretty much every big business out there. Hell, at least you get service in around 30 minutes with Sony. Just dealing with my ISP alone takes days before it gets resolved.
  15. I'm game... sign me up! With 100 people, do we get to lynch 25 of 'em day 1? LOL
  16. I would play it, but I'm going to be out at that time. 6pm CN time is 4pm my time, and I'll be in town. I should be back by 8pm CN time give/take.
