[KH-22] Mad17 - Mafia Wins!
This post is about as close as can come to my opinion, without having to figure out how to quote many different posts on mobile in one post (something I have no idea how to do). FB has no reason to lie; and Torres has been pretty suspicious all day anyways, from what I can remember reading through the thread a while back.

[BA-11] A Dance with Dragons - SK Wins
We've got 4 people that voted for a now-known townie. We've got 2 people for whom now-known townies were voting. They overlap. FoS: Torres, Captain You have a good point, but as I tried to say earlier, if I didn't vote Lyner, it was trial by combat for both of us... So it should just be FoS on captain because there's almost no way that TW also outs another scum on some kind of D2 hail Mary. Vote: Captainjf Meaning that as I at least trust the claim that torres is townie. I'm not entirely sure about TW yet. It's easy to sus the people that were active and voted when a wrong (or self defense) play is made, but it's just as easy to hide in the "Did not vote" section of D1. Rafay, Tony, Velocity, and COD should be just as sus as myself. If you look back at who I was voting for, I only changed when my own life was at stake! Were you in a similar position, would you not do the same? I don’t think you’re suspicious for voting to save yourself, everyone would do it. Anyone who says otherwise is lying through their teeth. A townie wouldn’t let themselves get lynched knowing they’re town, especially if they have a role or something interesting, and scum’s goal is to not get lynched or killed.

Any thoughts on torres? Nothing that hasn’t already been said.- says we needed to wait for lurkers to post and share their opinions.- doesn't share their opinions. Ferastical, you see the pattern? I shared my opinion. “I’m liable to hammer him once a couple more days have passed, if nothing changes, but I’m not for ending the day this quickly.” My reasoning has already been beaten to death by everyone else. Try again.

I would tend to agree, but I don’t see why we should end the day before the “lurkers” get to post. I’m in a similar boat to WP, I post when there’s something to post. I don’t see why we should already end the day, 3 rl days in. The day so far has been people dog piling Torres. I’m liable to hammer him once a couple more days have passed, if nothing changes, but I’m not for ending the day this quickly.

[KH-22] Mad17 - Mafia Wins!
Y’all put the dude at L-1 before some of us have even posted more than once or at all today, might want to slow that down a little bit.. Be more active and post and follow the discussion. Not just me. Kazio and Ferastical haven’t posted yet either, I don’t think/ It would be quite easy for somebody to just come in and slam a vote down on Torres, having not read the thread up full yet, end the day, and then likely get themselves targeted the next day. We are 3 rl days into D3, I don’t think it should already be on the verge of ending.

Is this one of those sanity modifiers? What are sanity modifiers btw? What are possible sanity modifiers? Sanity modifiers usually affects the results that a night action gives. As in an insane cop would investigate a townie and receive a scum result. Usually the player is not made aware of the insanity modifier as that would defeat the purpose. I think you mean non-normal? I hope you're not being a bastard mod lol. But yeah, post restrictions I think are non-normal, and random resolutions to things (ie trial by combat) definitely are. This is what Brewers is refering to https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Bastard_Mod The only thing anywhere close (to my knowledge he isn't lying to us) is if the trial by combat mechanic drastically affects the result of the game. A couple things:1) If Torres and I were both scum it’s an incredibly risky gambit for me to make. For starters, I have no idea if a role cop exists in this game and therefore basically role claiming on day 1 (or at least the start of day 2) opens me up for an entire game’s worth of possible power roles keeping an eye on me who could discredit me. Secondly, I would basically be outing Torres as well If/when I would get lynched or killed and flip scum. That would be theoretically 2/3rds of the scum team outed at the start of day 2. Not exactly a great gamble on my part. 2) If I was scum and Torres wasn’t scum, either I lied completely about Torres sharing his alignment with me last night in which case he can publicly discredit me at any time, or he believed I am town based off of my role and did in fact share his role with me believing that I could basically clear two people as town (which I have done as far as I’m concerned). If I was scum, I definitely wouldn’t be clearing a townie first thing on day 2 so that I now have a confirmed townie to contend with as long as he’s alive. No offense to Torres but when you factor in who I am helping confirm it makes even less sense. Torres’ play style almost always puts him in the spotlight and up for a lynch at some point. Why would I waste the opportunity for the town to waste a day on him? Hint: I wouldn’t. What I think actually happened: Torres picked up on the fact that I’d be claiming to be a Town Miller. He was aware that a Miller is almost certainly a townie. He knew that his role (Friendly Neighbor) had an opportunity to share his towniness with me so that I could basically confirm him as town today too and all of a sudden there are now two confirmed townies. I have to admit, when I received the message at night and figured out what Torres’ role must be I was impressed by his heads up play on that one. I don’t blame anyone for being skeptical about my role. That’s your job in this game. Just realize the incredible amount of risk I’d be taking if I was actually scum here. The odds wouldn’t be in my favor. That isn't exactly what I said though now is it. Its possible that he is town and you are not. You say you wouldn't do it because it opens you to investigation through the rest of the game, however that's only if there's a role cop. Any normal/alignment cop would just show you as scum because of a the miller role. Also if you have a then all but confirmed townie in torres to back you up it makes your position rather cozy. You would have likely all but convinced someone widely viewed as town that you were just a miller, which would make any investigation into you a waste of a night action. All of this is just speculation, you could very well be a miller. We should not however just take that as a fact. I don’t think it’s likely that with a miller in the game, there wouldn’t be something to the liking of a role cop, though the wiki for miller does say that millers can be put into games as a red herring.

Brewers is ghey, if he restricted tw like this. It's one thing to restrict minors like Velocity or sjws like lww. But to restrict a law abiding citizen like tw, is ghey. Former minor, my friend.

Did u see that as an option on the list...I mean it's not like this would be the first time you messed with someone's role mid game. Didn't you do that to Velocity in your last GOT game actually? LolHe did.

so are we all just not gonna vote and be useless this entire game or? this is ridiculous. the day has been going on for 11 real life days now and we have nine players not voting. deadline is coming up in three days. I’m waiting for Ferastcial to respond. I don’t see overbearing reason to lynch either Torres or Robert, but I could see why we would and if nobody else is in line to/ferastical has a good response, I likely will vote for one of those two. I don’t want another no lynch...

Well, that was an interesting game. Quite a bit of unfortunate luck for the town, definitely contributed to the loss. gg everyone

[KH-22] Mad17 - Mafia Wins!
In earlier days in the game, I can definitely see that mindset. I do it too, some of the time. For the most part, I post when I’m addressed or see something that nobody else has brought up by that point, especially in the earlier days. The later days is when my activity picks up and I start asking some questions and addressing some people... As people probably have noticed.

This dude was not on my list I'm pissed and I don't know what's happening Looking at the positive side - we did essentially get a free night for power roles to act and cleared LWW's name of any suspicion, although the hard way. Imagine if we had lynched LWW yesterday, we'd be standing here today with a body count twice as big. Alright, who is this "," person and why does their vote not count? I need answers No no, it’s “ “, “ “ It should be two. Lww was far too easy a target for the scum, the only thing that could possibly come from his death would be suspicion on me or maybe Torres, as he was suspicious of us mostly. I wouldn’t have hit him as a N1 target. I never know with Torres, since he plays pretty chaotically.

Lol this is almost completely wrong, especially in a role madness game like this. Lynching is high-risk, high-reward, since obviously you need to lynch scum to win, but mislynching means losing a townie and getting closer to LYLO, as well as losing a PR that could be useful later in the game (what if we accidentally lynch the only town-aligned alignment cop, for example?). Also no lynch is low-risk, low-reward: obviously you can't lynch scum and risk them dying during the night anyway, but you also get to drag out the game and keep more townies alive for longer, which in an open role madness setup is extra helpful. You posted a lot of words to finally get to this point, which is essentially that you're trying to lynch me just because I'm the closest to the vote requirement. I wouldn't say it's too suspicious since I've done that before on D1 too (as town lol), but admitting to thinking people will see your actions as suspicious has always felt like a bit of a tell to me, since players who know they're town generally don't care as much if people think they're acting scummy. I'm sticking with my No Lynch vote, but definitely FoS Velocity. In a normal game, the risk of lynching a PR does make me want to avoid lynching like I am now. In this game, everybody, let me stress this, everybody is a PR. Losing one town aligned PR in this game is a drop in the bucket; compared to lynching one of the scum with a PR. The scum will always hit somebody that isn’t them with a PR, so they can capitalize on it the most. Town may not. Lynching D1 here is low risk high reward. I’m admitting that if I didn’t follow through with what I said I’d do that I would look like a hypocrite and scummy. Yeah.. that’s exactly what would happen. I don’t need to be scum to be self aware, do I?
