The Dead Zone Mafia, Mafia Wins

I could hammer vote you right now, and of course am all too happy to do it.  I'm just keeping the floor open for discussion since there's still 4 or 5 RL days left until night.  I don't know if I voted for you right now if our time would be cut short.  If people want to get this over with, I can oblige.

Here's what I see:

  • He hasn't claimed his own role.
  • He's waiting to see what everyone else claims first.
  • He's probably a godfather or something since he really wants the Walt Bannerman character to claim.
  • He suggests there's Redirector role but then "can't explain it."

1. I'm not going to claim my role unless I have a good reason to.  Scum can kill me if they're so curious.

2. I'm not waiting to see what others claim.  I've predicted a lot of the role names based on posts.

3. I want the Walt Bannerman role to claim for a few reasons.  First was that he could potentially reveal alignments or support suspected ones.  Second was it confirms another town player.  Thirdly it prevents a possible wasted jailing/investigation on a role that is guaranteed town (assuming only 1 person claims).  Fourth, this role claim is at a premium, meaning a desperate scum is likely to try for a 50/50 shot of being believed if he tries to claim it.  For town to try to play that game in later days is more risky because there's far less margin of error to work with.

4. I wasn't the one who claimed night events.  I'm not even sure how that implicates me to begin with.  I'm operating on the assumption that both Dahl and CoD are town based on night claims, roles, and posts.  The redirector hypothesis seems to explain it a lot better than Dahl (Bruce) being scum.  The thing I can't exactly explain is the choice of targets.  A thought of mine would be that since it made CoD point a FoS at Dahl and myself, then maybe something like that was the goal.  Other than that, since I have no knowledge of what machinations scum are thinking of, I can only guess.

  • One possible sequence of events:

    • Iron Helix is a part of the mafia but didn't deliver the kill on either night.
    • On night 1, he was jailed by iSocialism but it didn't matter because one of his scum buddies killed Killgor.
    • He confirmed iSocialism as the jailor but that was easy because he was jailed, no need to be townie for that.
    • On night 2 one of his scum buddies either targeted Alternate_Tree at the same time as me or targeted somebody who had been some sort of protection (like being jailed).

For the other players, they can't know I'm not mafia simply based on iSoc jailing me.  From what I can tell, that's the only point you have.

I think considering MutedFaith's opposition to the rather heavy evidence that KevinH is scum, he should come forward with his role.  KevinH has admitted to shooting one of us, he claims it was an accident and he's the vigilante, but why shoot someone with absolutely no evidence they are scum?  The person he shot wasn't even under suspicion.

Everyone not voting to lynch KevinH you need to come forward and explain why.

Helix, my investigation was not redirected, I "touched" you and did not see you interact with anyone, and the fact that you refuse to come out with a role name or character name leads me to the same conclusion as KevinH.

##Vote: Iron Helix

The reason I am not voting for KevinH is simple. If he is the vigilante then he will have to target players at random as we don't have enough evidence to lynch the scum ourselves either. Alternate was fairly inactive in comparison to many other players, so killing a possible scum or inactive townie was probably his best option.

To put this as simply as possible. The only players in the game, if this is indeed role madness as it appears to be, that would not be using their night action at all would be the scum who are not preforming the faction kill, or someone who would choose not to use their ability. That means that it is HIGHLY LIKELY that Iron Helix is a scum, or hes a SK (in which case he has a jailing immunity or a 1-shot jail immunity and was informed that it was used). The only other possibility is that he chose not to use his ability on night 2, which he did not claim at any point.

Chaplain of Death you WERE redirected, I saw you with my own eyes visit Electric Mango, not Iron Helix.  I tracked YOU last night, I saw everything you did.

The alternative is of course I was redirected and followed someone else who visited Electric Mango o_O

Let's say you did "touch" me.  Then James Dahl saw you visit EM means he's either lying or I was at EM's location.  If you touched me specifically and got information off of me, then EM wasn't who you read and I was in error.

If I'm a SK, then I'd have to have some form of jail immunity, like you said, but that still doesn't explain why James Dahl is saying you visited Electric Mango.  How would a SK manage to do that?

Chaplain of Death you WERE redirected, I saw you with my own eyes visit Electric Mango, not Iron Helix.  I tracked YOU last night, I saw everything you did.

The alternative is of course I was redirected and followed someone else who visited Electric Mango o_O

That's actually kind of plausible, and if true we couldn't draw the conclusion of EM not being the SK.

If the alternative is the case then the switch was between Chaplain of Death and another person (who actually visited EM).  That other person hasn't come forward.  A kill happen, so I doubt it was scum.  Maybe the Walt Bannerman role was investigating him, but only he could confirm or deny that.  I don't think this alternate scenario is the case, but the potential is there.

If CoD was redirected like I think, then I don't think the moderator is going to inform him of the switch considering the nature of this particular game where we don't know roles or even the number of scum.

Also I find it hilarious that you're suddenly concerned with character names if you seriously believe that Kevin is Christopher Wey.  Any role name I would give you would be meaningless, as evidenced by you with Kevin and iSocialism and now pointing a FoS and James Dahl.  You've called what should have been two obvious town players scum and you're backing obvious scum.

I know you're town, but, man, you're not helping it.

I just realized something, I got NO feedback from protecting iSocialism, my protection was not needed.  So if KevinH's kill last night was a vigilante kill, scum made no kills last night

Also I went over my notes last night and I'm sorry fellows, I just remembered incorrectly, I saw Chaplain of Death visit Iron Helix, not Electric Mango.  There was no redirection, I just didn't remember things correctly.  It didn't make sense so I went over my notes again and I hadn't remembered it correctly.  Chaplain of Death's account is the correct one, he DID touch Iron Helix.

Iron Helix either did no night actions last night or he has investigation immunity, just like Chaplain of Death said.  I stayed up so late I wrote the name down wrong too, I wrote 'Iron Helizx'.

It appears I have caused a wild goose chase and I apologize.

I have no explanation, I don't think there's a derp causing ability

OK, well, an apology is in order for CoD.  You were right, there was no redirection.  EM is no longer cleared of anything as well.

But now you know that I was the one who had no night action.

If you still think I'm a SK then I'd have to be a bulletproof (?), investigate-proof, jail breaking serial killer.

If you're basing your decisions on that, well... yikes.

James Dahl is Bruce and is town, even though he made an error that is normally catastrophic for a game like this.  Better to not let scum capitalize on it.

Enough with the slow roll.

##lynch KevinH

We almost lynched KevinH yesterday and now two people who voted for him are dead. I agree with Iron Helix, something seems amiss here.

Vote:KevinH

he claims it was an accident and he's the vigilante, but why shoot someone with absolutely no evidence they are scum?  The person he shot wasn't even under suspicion.

The vigilante kill would not have been an accident, Alternate_Tree was relatively inactive and had voted to lynch me. What vigilante would do anything different?

So if KevinH's kill last night was a vigilante kill, scum made no kills last night

That's what I was trying to say!

There is no conclusive evidence that I am scum.

But I am.

the town quicly got back to where they had left off yesterday, with KevinH picking up 4 quick votes and then 2 more a little later. once again it looked like KevinH would skate by 1 vote shy of hammer. Ogaden made a claim that almost changed the outcome of the day, then he noticed he was wrong ( <_< ) Chaplin of Death voted for KevinH and that was the final straw.

seeing that his time was up KevinH said his last words.

"There is no conclusive evidence that I am scum.

But I am."

Kevinh has been lynched.

Bruce was returning to his room after a very long night when he was hit on the back of the head. he went down in a heap, his attacker knelt over him and slit his thought. Sheriff Turner had just unlocked her makeshift jail cell and let her latest inmate out. they had only been gone a few minutes when someone else showed up. Anna saw the gun just in time to mutter the words 'Oh ****' before the bullet went thought her head.

Well that entire double night event was not expected. I felt lucky to escape the 1st night with my life only to find out that its straight back to another night phase. I was like, "whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!" Oh no you didn't 317. And he was all like, "yeah, that just happened."

the player list i posted at the start of today was wrong, it was missing the night 3 deaths. sorry about that, i had copied from an outdated list

Imran you have some explaining to do.

Meaning?

I was the one who was pushing for a kevinH lynch from Day 2. You were the one who was pushing for a lynch on two confirmed townies if I remeber correctly. I will need to go back and check (I will do so) but thats what I remember.

Funny that you come out accusing me when you are the most suspicious of the lot so far.
