The guests sit down to dinner. They had each won an essay writing contest sponsored by Horror writer Stephen King. They had to explain which character from the television show The Dead Zone was there favorite and why. There had been tens of thousands of entries and only one entry was picked for each character.

Here you are now one of the chosen few, sitting down to dinner with Stephen King himself at the welcoming party he is throwing at his Maine estate for the winners before the start of the grand prize, a Dead Zone themed weekend that will be attended by the actors who played your favorite characters.

Dinner is over and you all go off to bed, after all tomorrow is going to be a big day. There was a major storm during the night and you hardly slept at all between the thunder and anticipation. You head on down to the dining room for breakfast.

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a good night’s sleep. I regret to inform you that the bridge is out; it seems it was swept away in
the storm. Sadly this means that the cast will not be able to get here. The lights suddenly go out and there is a loud roar of thunder and a bolt of lightning illuminates the room. The lights quickly come back on but you decide it’s better to be safe and hand out flashlights to all the guests only something is wrong. As you give the last of the guests a flashlight you realize there isn’t one left for you. “This is strange, there were only supposed to be the x of you and I had enough flashlights for myself and each of you. It appears someone has crashed the party.” Before Mr. King can elaborate the lights go out again, only this time they stay out for several minutes. When the lights come back on you see Mr. King covered in blood, dead from multiple stab wounds. There is a note written in almost illegible writing.

 

“Welcome to The Dead Zone. By now you have probably begun to notice that things are not quite right. No matter for worry, I simply drugged last night’s meal. I’m sorry I had to kill Mr. King but he said I was not important enough for the contest, so nobody wrote letters for me. It’s time to play a little game, were going to see just how well you know your favorite characters. You have to figure out who I am before I kill all of you. The lights are set to go out again in 1 hours’ time, at which point I will kill again. We will keep playing this little game until you are all dead, good luck.”

 

Panic starts to spread until Reverend Purdy stands up and calls for calm. Wait Reverend Purdy, but he’s a fictional character. He seems to be making sense so you decide to go with it. The group all agrees with his plan, you will work together to find the killer before time runs out. People start making wild accusations about each other before Greg Stillson calls for quite; at this point fictional characters are the least of your concern. He suggests that we vote on whom to kill, surprisingly Johnny agrees with him.

I'm not comfortable with possibly killing our vigilante. Not without any direct proof.

 

Aside from you, there are 3 others not voting who are also silent.  Zacch seems AWOL as well.  If 8 votes are needed in a 14 player game and you have 4 players AWOL, getting 8 votes is going to be a serious challenge.

 

 

I don't think you're idiotic for referencing the show as it will be useful, but using that as a major reason to lynch someone without other evidence is in fact idiotic.

Dana had just left her stake out and was on her way back to her room when someone grabbed her from behind and pulled her into a utility closet. Dana tried to scream but only blood came out, her thought had been slit. Rebecca had just returned to her room after a therapy session, little did she know this would be the last time she would see a patient. She was tried but before going to bed she decided to take a shower. she went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. After waiting for the water to warm up she entered the shower and closed the shower door. Rebeca was unable to here the bathroom door quietly open over the noise of the shower. After finishing her shower she stepped out into the bathroom and wrapped a towel around herself. She went to the mirror and wiped it off. As the steam cleared from the mirror Rebeca noticed a figure behind her, but it was to late. A muffled gun show rang out and blood spattered onto the bathroom mirror.

Whoever has the roles of Johnny Smith or Walt Bannerman should consider coming forward today.  Between the two, there's the potential to find the alignment of 4 other players as well as confirm 2 town.  If we don't get any new information today, then today will just end up being another no lynch.  With two of the seven supporters for lynching Kevin gone, today will most likely be absolutely impossible to lynch kevin.  If 6 votes manage to come together for it, I'll be the 7th vote, otherwise I think it's a waste of time to argue for it as he's essentially unlynchable at this point.

It's interesting that Kevin role claimed vigalante but was still just one vote away from being lynched. Knowing he would be on the chopping block why would he not want to confirm his role by performing a night kill? My bet is that he would if he could but be couldn't so be didn't.

Just how many town do you think are left?  I doubt this is structured like a mountainous game.

A role madness game often counters the numerous power roles with an increased number of scum.

I have a feeling the lack of a lynch on kevin is partially attributed to that (also inactivity).

Why Alternate_Tree?

 

Kaziocore , Imran Ehsan, Iron Helix, Lyner, Alternate_Tree, iSocialism, and Chaplain of Death all voted for me but I never got the 8th vote.

 

Therefore either the scum were inactive or included among those who voted for me.

I gave the benefit of the doubt to Kaziocore, Iron Helix, and iSocialism because of their role claims.

 

Therefore the odds were pretty good that there were scum among Imran Ehsan, Lyner, Alternate_Tree, and Chaplain of Death. Of those, Alternate_Tree was the least active so I chose him for my vigilante kill.
