Well, I can't say who is, but I can say that you're not. I am sure that EM is the lightning rod, and if you tried to investigate anyone last night, it would have been him.

If this is how you would play the role?  You would be stupid.  Check it:

1. Investigator would have 2 investigations

2. Those investigations would implicate scum or clear Town

3. Investigator would be protected at least for tonight if you are a Doc

4. Investigator would have a 3rd investigation tomorrow

5. Investigator counterclaiming me catches me as scum without wasting an investigation

6. There are only 3 people that could even BE an investigator

7. Presumably at least 1 of those people would be my scum buddy [leaving 50/50 odds]

8. Given 7 - what makes you think an investigator would live through tonight?

9. Given 8 - why would they die without revealing their investigation results?

 

It is quite obvious that there is no reason for an investigator to stay hidden at this point.  Even your scum buddy Mango knows what's up.  That's why he wont answer the question publicly. 

 

It is also quite obvious that I am so "fervently" looking for a counter claim because that counter claim would be proven false when I was finally mislynched to save your scum slot.  Thus, I will have confirmed my suspicion that Lyner is your third scum buddy - assuming there are 3 scum.

I replied to your points here and answered the "vital question" here stating that it's unwise that the Investigator (is there is any) comes out publicly to be gibbed. And in any case, how likely is it to have investigated either you or me already, as we're just on day 3?

I attempted to protect EM on the first night. He wasn't targeted of course, Lurch was. Thus my protection went to waste.

Also kind of my point. Let's say someone counter claimed and they investigated killgor and Lyner... If they both came up clean? Well guess what? You have two cleared Townies, you would be a 3rd cleared Townie as my counter wagon, and I'd be scum - right? So now the mafia would be down a man with FOUR people cleared [adding IH as the IC]. That's a hell of a hole.

So here are some thoughts of mine:

 

-EM visited Yates night 1 and nothing adverse happened to Yates (more probably town than scum)

-If EM is town, then the lightning rod would be true

-If the lighting rod is true, then there had to have been a protection action (assuming there's a town investigative role that would discourage scum from playing games and not doing a kill)

-Blask is the only one claiming to have protected someone last night

-If true, this would indicate Blask is also town

-EM and Blask are pretty much tied at the hip.  If one is town, the other is likely town.  If one is scum, the other is likely scum.

-If Blask is scum, that means EM's lighting rod claim is under suspicion

The neighborizer claim was suspicious, but as it has been explained, it sounds a little plausible. 

 

IF EM is town, I don't understand why EM would be voting for Blask at this point unless he still doubts Blask's nieghborizer claim.

The only way this is relevant is if EM is lying.  If EM is lying, and is scum, then we need to try to explain what his action was on you night 1.  He didn't try to kill you since mafia target was CS and you weren't roleblocked.

That's a remote possibility.  If he was scum cop he would have played this game as cop.

there is also the possibility of a roleblocker having averted the NK this night. this would mean that EM is actually scum trying to cover up the roleblocking. but i don't really think it's possible because it really complicates things a lot and if he does that he exposes 2 scums (him and another person).

 

also, last time someone was BP, we got flavor text to tell us that a attempt was made on his "life" but it was unsuccessful. this did not happen this time.

Also, I think it was mentioned a couple times that there might be more to your role.  If so, I think you should do a full reveal since that would help set the precedent that the neighborizer can have more than one role.
