So I broke down and rented the movie from Red Box. Got it on blue ray, simply cause I could and never saw anything in HD or on a Blue Ray disk. I found the movie very interesting for being a Disney movie to say the least. I've drawn up some conclusions on my own, but was wondering,

 

(for those who've saw the movie also) What you guys thought of the movie? Did it feel like a Disney Movie to you guys? 

 

 

meh it was a okay movie not my type, I like movies like Full Metal Jacket or Saving Private Ryan or even 300 the two movies. I would have to say a 4 out of 10 starts compare to my movie that I liked that is a Disney move which is The Tooth Fairy movies 

I liked it, 10/10. 

I thought it was really enjoyable, the thing I didn't like, is that it seemed like they wrote the movie, and then half way thru they didn't like the way it was going and completely changed it up who the bad guy was going to be.  Since the actual bad guy basically comes out of nowhere.

 

They also completely marginalized the male lead in the movie, he was basically useless the entire movie.  Shouldn't we be sending a better message to our young boys?

The movie was about female strength, which plays a large part in why I liked it.

I felt it was more orientated towards female audiences. With bring things to the table more sinister things for villeins. I was caught off guard. Usually, Disney has a way of introducing a villain. They tossed that out the rule book. Also. that one song, I couldn't help but face palm hard. "He's a bit of a fixer-uper. " sure Disney, lets degrade things now. I Enjoyed the movie as it caught me off guard. I like the characters. (Except MAJORITY OF THE MALE CHARACTERS.) Music was good, except that one song. 

It was a good movie, and I wasn't expecting who the villain turned out to be.

I didn't mind it. The music was pretty good, the characters were interesting, and I actually laughed several times at some of Olaf's lines.

 

I didn't know who the villain was going to be until a bit later, but I called what was going to happen before they actually revealed the villain.

I took two of my cousins (girls) to see it. They enjoyed it a lot and I liked it too ... must be that growing up with Disney stories/books/movies stays with you.

I quite enjoyed it. It's not my normal choice of movie, but like a lot of recent Disney releases I appreciate them fro the art that they are and thus don't compare them to non-animated films.

The plot seemed kind of thin. Elsa froze everything and the whole movie is just about convincing her to come back and unfreeze stuff. Also, it isn't clear how Elsa was able to finally bring her powers under control, which was the whole point of the movie.

The answer was love Wu Ming. (At least thats what they said it was. )

Pretty good. I was disappointed that most the music was very similar.

Actually, that just makes the movie even worse in my opinion.

So how did the ice queen bathe? I mean she turns what she touches into ice...

 

Anyone else wonder about that?

 

Also, why didn't true love save her cursed ass?

she is the ice queen, so its not like she sweats, and if she did perhaps the oils/sweat/dirt freezes and crystallizes on her skin and then its the simple process of wiping it off.

 

or you know it could just be a disney movie, and you are way over thinking it.

I am curious why Ana stayed in the castle that was kept locked up by her sister. The same one that could not leave the bedroom and do anything about it if Ana went out occasionally. Except maybe yell through the door at her...

Also, why was the death of their parents glossed over so fast?

Because just maybe this movie is overhyped and isn't the greatest story of all time like people treat it as.

I thought the animation was top notch. Too music heavy at the beginning and it made it feel like it was never going to end, like a Les Mis musical. It really needed a little back story... like the need to know why she could turn everything to ice. The parents died so fast that my wife didn't even realize it, because she had her face in her computer at the time. Should have had more story like Tangled, Brave, or even the king of Disney... Beauty and the Beast. It was a good rental.

It was perfect and had a powerful ending, pretty much the best movie of 2013. 

And I am not even one who watches animation movies much or likes musical based movies.

 

In fact it was the first musical movie I watched, the setting of the movie was pretty good. 

Found it pretty boring tbh. I stay away from animations but thought I will watch this one because of all the hype. Was bored.

 

Only good thing about the movie was olaf. he needed more screentime.
