Well I imagine there's plenty of upset people around the world who got either a PS4/Xbox1 for Christmas, or a new game, and unable to play them.  Both have been down now most of the past 2 days. 

outages very where you are are. I noticed it yesterday trying to my unity. Holy cow. though, haven't tried to play today yet. Been playing Advanced Warfare campaign, since my best friend has begged me to get it but isn't even online all day today. 

 

That being said, hope these guys get hacked back, I've had to restart my system 5 times yesterday as they game keeps freezing because it requires online.

I just got an xbox one from my family and was expecting something like this happening so I didn't even bother opening it yet. Jackasses always have too much time on their hands around this time of year and after the service issues last year I wondered if some butt dweller would hit it.

Yea...they've put up quite an attack...I'm impressed that they've been able to keep it down for 3 days straight so far.  I been following their twitter account, 

 

Throughout this they've posted like retweet such and such and we'll stop attacking, which they did for a few seconds, then started to hit again.  I heard the owner of Mega (new site,use to be Megaupload) offered them 3000 premium accounts for life if they stopped, which they supposedly got, and sold 150 or so of already to online users for $50 a pop, and then resumed attacking anyway.  Anonymous posted a video saying they were going to be coming after them not for their attacks on Xbox/PSN, but because I guess Lizard Squads coming out saying Anonymous has worked with the FBI to bust people, which Anonymous has denied besides when one of them got busted by police and ratted people to save himself.  Now it seems Lizard Squad has started to mock Anonymous via their twitter feed

They only took it down for a day, Megaupload founder negotiated with them on the first day.

 

Xbox's servers were back on shortly, Sony are still struggling to get their network back up even though the DDoS attacks long stopped.

hahaha, reminds me of an article in which some IT dude blocked a DDoS by blocking all +1698 byte packages (or something around it) instead of just that specific number
