No, all the other Christian denominations are sects of the Catholic Church. Not Orthodox.
I think the whole idea behind that is to ensure the president is well educated about all aspects of America. Hence why you must also have lived in the states for the last some odd years to be qualified as well.
And Catholicism doesn't encompass all of Christianity. It's not even the oldest, but it's a sect of Christianity.
No, all the other Christian denominations are sects of the Catholic Church.
Indeed. To elaborate, for me, the begin of the Catholic Church is when Jesus told Peter to watch over his herd. If you do not see it that way, then sure you might disagree, but still it was Peter and friends who were the first apostoles. Meaning the catholic church was the first Christian church.
Let's not forget the Orthodox church here guys.... Oriental Orthodoxy pre-dates the Catholic Church.
There were also Christian churches before that.
No, not really ... it depends on your point of view. For me any schism from the Catholic Church results in a sect (including Eastern Orthodoxy) from the one true Catholic Church.
Having said that, we can agree to disagree on this view.

Also, what ever happened to discussing the attacks in Paris?
Still here, if there is something you would like to discuss that is

I heard they arrested a comedian in France after he excircised the freedom of expression. Also, I hear investigative journalists are now a threat as per CGHQ. Awaiting mass protests and outrage....

well freedom of expression isn't absolute in europe, we do tend to disapprove of hatespeech
then again, anyone they try to take to court for that gets next to nothing >_>

To add to that, each part of society has different rules restricting the so called "freedom of speech", for journalism this is promarly found in misleading/untrue news stories. For the general public it is speech inciting hate or violence. As an employee it is talking badly about your employer. As a teacher it is belitteling your students, etc...
here is one that could get "hairy" for the people involved (link), while you may support the idea of defaming a "traitor", you are damaging your own club and as such could get a ban on entering the stadium.

and another little tidbit: link
Give it up... paintballs can't go through walls and bullets can. I played paintball wargames for years. It's a game, and nowhere near reality. Plus if they knew they would run into armed resistance, they may have decided to NOT DO IT!... How about arming the police that were gunned down? You know? the ones that could only point their finger and yell bang? Did you run that scenario?
What would be your solution? To have strict editors and make sure no muslim gets offended? Now that's liberty...
Or maybe just try to keep the victim count as low as possible? "Gee we're doing good... only 134 dead this month"
You guys are good bomb throwers, but nothing grounded in reality.
Woke (adj.)
A state of awareness only achieved by those dumb enough
to find injustice in everything except their own behavior.

I always stating my belief in that putting guards on the front only works as a deterrent, it does NOT help when the action itself is happening.
who said I am with the few radicals on this? who said I am against liberty? i am for rationality and reason, I am for understanding and cooperation.
this anecdotal link I gave just shows that the world isn't black and white, even gun advocates know you can't solve everything with guns. Dangerous situations and people not thinking twice about others people's life will continue to excist, but blaming everything on the things the select few shouted doesn't mean anything and only furthers the mutual mistrust.
also, the police was armed >_>

While we're on this subject again, about 15000 Qurans will be handed out today/tomorrow in The Netherland's major cities during King's day. I'm not going to say it's a stupid idea, but I think I speak for many when I say that I do not want to be handed a religious book.

I feel the same way when members of the Gideons attempt to shove one of their pocket Bible's in my face as I go about my business. Worse still are the Jehovah's Witnesses who feel the need to knock on my door seeking a convert when I'd rather still be sleeping.
My uncle used to have a big friendly black lab who would get really excited by anyone coming to the door. Whenever people seeking converts came by he would just pretend the dog was dangerous and would yell "Back Satan! Stay back!" at the dog while the door was open (dog's actual name was Tar). Somehow after doing that two or three times, he never got bothered again.

move to the countryside, more distance between front doors = less doorbells being rang
