Thank you Dagon, for your incredibly insightful and well thought out response. I understand completely all your concerns about life where you are from... I don't know where you are from, but my guess would be South America. This is the specific reason I would like for Samus to show our flags, so we know what we are talking about. If I am wrong, please correct me.

 

It's much easier for countries that have less population, a weak government structure, virtually no responsibility to the safety of the free world, or the world financial system, to experiment with all kinds of different forms of government. The United States is none of these. We have built the most powerful, richest, and most advanced country in the history of the world... on Capitalism. It is not even in the realm of reasonable thinking to even attempt to change that, and the people behind such activities, do not hold the USA in high regard.

 

We have entertained the climate change hucksters long enough... we really didn't want to just put them in straight jackets and lock them up in padded rooms... but the time has come to end the game before it gets dangerous. If the oceans were rising at all... China would not be building artificial island military bases. We will not be sending your country billions of dollars for "carbon offsets", carbon dioxide is not a poisonous gas, our existence does not cause tornadoes, and the polar bears will be just fine without our help.

Abortion is a topic that can be blown out of proportion. I didn't say I want it completely illegal. I understand the rap incest. Those are valid reasons. Not do I think electing someone who agrees with my view. It's a cultural problem. Culture doesn't change easily. Even if it's wrong. Take a look at racesim. Still alive in today's day and age. Even with the civil war. Not do I think me saying anything about it is going to change anything.

Basically, how I'm looking at it. If Sanders gets elected, I'd be a fool not to take advantage of the free collage. Assuming it goes through.

We are then blessed with 4 years of doing nothing if he refuses to sign bills from Congress. That's what we have now.

not sure why if he is elected, how this benefits Congress since that his popularity ticket. I wouldn't give a shit about him otherwise. Course, if he wins the Demecratic, he has a decent chance. We all know either a republican or Democrat is going to win. So, for it to take a miracle isn't really realistic. He would simply have to be good against whoever wins the republican nomination. If Trump doesn't win the Republican nomination, he says he's going to continuing running and try to win without the nomination. So you can split the republican votes as he aiming for republican voters mainly. This is still anybody election. Not sure why you think Sanders doesn't have chance to win.

The thing that bugs me the most about Bernie, is his reasoning about free college. He says that a bachelor's degree is equivalent to a high school degree today. I somewhat agree, as in work placement wise. However, Giving everyone "free college" wouldn't help people find jobs. It then would make the degree worthless, supply and demand. I'm fine with helping people pay for college, who will truly make a difference. But it's only the doer's who will be able to accomplish this, and will also be the people who have the potential to make a difference. Also college debt isn't a bad thing if your degree isn't worthless. It's sucks but it will be worth it. Right now, I'm leaning on going to grad school, but I know it will be expensive, but I will not be like help me pay for it, because it's my dream and I'm afraid of hard work. Shit, that's how I got my bachelors' in 3 and half years with no debt. By working my ass off in the summer to pay for college, and working my ass off during school to pay for my bills. While everyone I know who wants "free college" was going to Europe or somewhere for their summer. or they're a humanities major.

The reason a high school diploma isn't as worth as much, is because the shaming of people without one. Apparently you need a HS diploma to flip burgers. My friend had a brain tumor, and for lacks of better terms, is an idiot. arguable if it was because of the tumor. He will agree with me that he would have been better off quitting HS and entering the work force at an earlier age, instead of getting a free ride through high school, because no likes a drop out.

Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada were very nice to Bernie. Hatred for Hillary, the liar, made Iowa competitive. Young voters wanting free college and someone to give them amnesty for loans they signed an agreement to receive... in New Hampshire and Nevada were very nice to Bernie.

 

Now the Democrat Primaries are moving into many red states (Republican strongholds), where Socialist policies are treated like a contagious disease. Southern Democrats, though very hard to find these days, are very loyal to Bill Clinton... just like they were for Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter. Bernie Sanders' kite is running out of wind. Sanders will be slaughtered starting this Saturday in South Carolina, and his continued demise will take place on Super Tuesday. Republicans are absolutely destroying Democrats in voter participation. Democrats are not too thrilled with either of their candidates. One is a dishonest criminal facing indictment, and the other is a Socialist... not much to get excited about.

 

My eldest daughter lives in Denver... I understand you live there too? She's a big Trump supporter.

For this elections, the presidential candidates aren't as good as they thought they could be. I support Bernie because his ideologies match up to mine, (kind of. I have a small country mentality #Panamaftw) and because many of his proposals could benefit people that I know and that are close to me. Maybe the free college policy could apply to foreign students and then it would benefit me. But that is it. I think his proposals are the strongest and most meaningful with these presidential candidates.

 

There could be better policies, better proposals and better candidates, but you've gotta take what is given to you so Bernie would be my choice if I were american.

Idk, if we are going to have a madam president, I don't think Hillary is a very good choice. Not that I dislike Bill, but he was in the office when I was a kid. I don't know much about his accomplishments.

Anything in large quantities hurts, true, doesn't mean we shouldn't try to LIMIT those quantities before they actually become hazardous! Guess you only care about hazards when they actually kill you instantly? Guess cancer is a phantom curse created by science aswell? HIV/AIDS aswell no double?

As far as I can see. There isn't a main candidate with the values I would want. I could be wrong, but I haven't seen a candidate that has what I want.

Robert, take a good look at Marco Rubio. I think that you'll find a lot to like.

 

 

He lacks experience and on social issues, he's pretty far right. Opposing gay marriage for one. He speaks eloquently but I don't think he's much better than the rest. Kasich is all round better in my opinion, too bad the party won't coalesce around him.

Much harder to do that with entire cities like New York. Finally, I don't care so much about polar bears either. But I do care about food production. The facts are:
The earth is getting warmer, on an average scale.
The rapid increase of warming is due to human activity, direct and indirect, mostly relating to greenhouse gasses.


The earth goes through cycles. It heats up, it cools down and around and around it goes. The earth has it's own cooling and heating system, not unlike we do. When we're cold, we shiver. When we're hot, we sweat. The earth reacts similarly.
Right now, in 2015, it is warming up faster than it was projected to. The scientific theory is that humans are causing the earth to heat up faster than it was naturally meant to. If it continues at this rapid pace, the warmth will melt the polar ice caps.
