[Ali bin Turban]

Well this certainly shakes things up - my last post got cut off by when TW locked the thread before posting his answer, but with Lego having proven scum that will now give us some more to look at.

I am curious why Rhizo was chosen, though... and it says just 'A Gryffindor Student' - when Chaplain/Hagrid was lynched it said 'A normal hogwarts staff member'. Is the lack of "Normal" important, or a mistake on TW's part?

I'm still busy today, but initial thoughts:

At the end it was Wolfpacks vs Lego on votes, but Wolfpacks made a very big deal of not moving his vote onto Lego. When I get more time either tonight or tomorrow I'll read back and see how the wagons shifted, but those past 24 hours were hectic... I'm just glad we didn't default to an inactive.

One final datapoint: Since I was trying to post when the thread locked, I also got to see who was watching the thread when it ended. While I was reading/posting and after the thread locked, I saw the following names: TheWarrior, Preston, Lyner, KevinH, Lego, Samus, Wolfpacks, Rhizoctonia, Ali Bin Turban

That seemed to be a mistake. It's already corrected to "normal Gryffindor student".

 

As for the wagons there was:

Lego(1: Samus), Lego (2: Finster), Lego(3: KH). Then Rhizo made Lego(4) and Wolfpacks(3). After that was SM on Lego and Lego on Wolfpack...but those two were already meaningless since Rhizo's vote has sealed scum's fate.

 

About Rhizo, there could be several reasons - most obvious I'd say was because he was active enough, able to hunt down scums and was confirmed town (he hammered the vote). Only one that would fit this better is Samus.

We could also say he died because he was accurate with his scum suspects...personally I don't take it as a reason (because just as well he could be wrong and got killed to frame innocents).

 

 

If you remember I was close to being lynched so it kinda stands to reason I'll be on at the end just in case, as for the others

Lego: probably the same reason as me
Ali, Rhizo,shamus and Preston had voted for either one of us and my guess wanted to see if their vote had turned up a scum,
KevinH: was watching to see if our famous lurcher had put in a appearance
Lyner I'm not sure of yet, he's another that likes to turn up say something then let everyone else get on with it, this could be an act of a scum,

One of the lynchers could be scum....

Are you back now because you got close to being lynched last time, this could be a scum trying to save himself with some activity or townie trying to save the town. I still think the odds are slim for Rafay being scum so for now I go for the latter.

 

 I wasn't actually waiting to see who turns out to be a scum. After post #320 it was most probable that Lego's a scum. I was simply to late and came in when topic was already closed.

Eh I really thought another wagon couldn't be made(it was like what, less than 10 hours before deadline?). That's why I didn't even count lego on the first place. Your action back then looked just like a scum desperately trying to defend your scum friend.

Rhizo is dead instead of Samus who is clearly a town. I think this is the same as last night, as in scums're trying to find the cops instead of the most townie/active one. Or it could be they're afraid someone is protecting/watching Samus.

Personally I find the lack of defense in scums' part disturbing. As we can see they only need 1 or 2, depending on the timing, to save Lego.

 

This could mean a number of things:

1. Some scums already slipped in Lego's wagon so it will be suspicious to move the vote

2. Some scums are inactive

3. Some scums are already on Wolfpack's wagon

 

Out of the three I think number 3 is most likely, followed with number 1 and 2

Good call by Samus. I'll admit, I was reluctant as most of Lego behavior seems to just strike me as a noob, not scum. The vote I casted was more or less to get my read on Samus. After the pointless back and forth, I was on the fence. Like I said a scum wouldn't START a wagon on another scum, but it doesn't eliminate the possibility of a scum being in that wagon.

Samus is confirmed townie in my eyes for starting a successful lynch. Like I said on D2, if Lego ended up being scum, It'd confirm Samus is town to me. If he was town, Samus would be suspect #1.
I don't want to ponder too long on why Rhizo was killed. There's a few possibilities and we are just wasting time by deciding whether it was because he was the lynching vote, his analyze was close to a scum, or whatever reason.

Obviously, the next step is the next wagon we can form and who the next best guess would be. With Samus's next suspect being myself, and him being pretty spot on with Lego, I feel we should start with Samus's list. Why would I suggest that?
1) there is a lynch on me and I end up dead. With my pointless role, we don't lose much there. Samus and Preston are both my views confirmed townies and scum can't get rid of both of them in one night. My theory? Both of them have a scum in their analyze and scum fear killing them would bring attention to their list. I trust they can make D4 a successful lynch.

2) We poke people on the list. KevinH, Wolfpacks, etc. I would suggest Rafay, but he did make a post within the first 24hours of the day. He isn't completely inactive and useless to town, just lurking. Wolfpacks is somewhat on the fence. He did have a close lynch going, so maybe everyone is seeing something I'm missing (like Lego), but Legos desperate attempt to try and lynch Wolfpack is making me second guess that. Again, there's alot to read through and at this point, I'm just trying to keep up.

I have no info from overnight that will prove relevant to the future of the town. I now need to look at the posts from when I was on holiday a bit more carefully in order to discern where I should look next.

Well, I'm back and there's a lot to look at. The fact the rhiz was targeted and was on the wagon  which leaves 4 left from that wagon. Gives me the vibe that everyone on that wagon was town.

I'm getting the vibe that the scum team may not be all experience players, and might be making mistakes. However, along with this we can't use normal scum-tell tactics to point them out. It's is possible that they could have killed rhiz, and not realized that would narrow it down to find the one scum on the wagon. We could also be getting played by samus, with a plan to lynched his team mate right off the bat to earn the highest town creed. I wouldn't put it past samus to do this. Though, I'm not advocating that he did.

I believe that TW probably gave mafia the ability to day talk. This would lower the chance of scum making a mistake, assuming they have an experienced player.

 

There are 12 alive, 3 who are scum, and 4 total on the lego wagon. It's possible that a scum lies on the wagon, if this was the case. It would be most likely KH or SM. Lego voted for WP at the end, and I don't think he would vote for his own to save himself. I also don't think lego was trying to cover WP tracks by doing this. Lego also gave a 3-person FOS list
