[TW-04] Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Mafia - Mafia Wins!

I just did a soft claim, and my words are going completely over your head. The vote on finster was simply for him to explain his reasoning he didn't want to say. But you completly missed that twice. You skimming posts now also?

I didn't know asking for a counter claim to your character claim was a soft claim.

I can see the point on the Finister vote if that is the reasoning, its a valid reason. It also isn't my concern. What I was concerned about is how besides those who voted on you, that was the only person in the post you wrote about. Not everyone who had wanted a response or threatened a vote. Just active voters and Finister. That concerns me.

On the note of actually agreeing with you, I do have concerns about those not voting. D43th especially after his recent posts.

A few valid points, however, does not excuse the scummish behavior you have exhibited that multiple people have mentioned throughout this game. Again, I highly doubt you'll flip town. But if you do, I completely welcome anyone challenging my alignment in this game. I'm almost certain your scum that I'm willing to take that stance.

I do imagine you'll be under the microscope King H. Weather I'm lynched today or die tonight. I've already laid the ground work. People have been lynched for less then your behavior.

The people who are not voting, it unacceptable. We have to lynch the scum in order to win. You sitting back and letting crap wagons like the one on me or mandarjin happen is just playing piss poor.

I agree with Robert2424 in that everyone should be voting somewhere.

I don't really see anyone standing out as the most scummy, but we need to lynch someone.  If either Robert or Mandarijn flip town, I'll be most suspicious of those that didn't vote.

Vote Finster

sort of lean towards Mandj right now for some reason that I can't articulate.

If they are good enough reasons to place a vote on Mandarjin, they are good enough to share and say.

Well that came out of the blue. I defend you by not voting for you, yet you vote for me because of a comment I made about Mandj?

Here, I'll clarify: By reasons I can't articulate I meant just a feeling. Nothing I can put words to, just a feeling. But your RC (which is really not much of a claim) does give me pause from voting for you, as if you are truly town, I don't want to lighten our cause any further.

I'll be watching you though.

Im not going to vote just because im told to just because it will make me look more town, i like to make my own mind up, tbh i think Robert has enough votes to lynch him anyway without my help unless the Mandi wagon gets bigger before deadline, if Robert flips town then we have a few suspects to play with, if not we have a lot more, mandi on the other hand i think if he had a real important part to play then i think he would have been replace as asked, ive seen TW do this in other games.

I do have a couple of suspicions of my own, Death and Maz, Death because of his unvote earlier, if it was meaningless why change it, let it go and move on or just vote for someone else, Maz because i dislike his gameplay it just doesnt help Town at all, but saying all this i think mandi needs to be put out of his misery.

Vote Mandi

Okay, i'll enlighten the idea.

1) you claim AbT tunnel visioned you and I voted for no reason. Both AbT and myself have stated the lack of any meaning in your posts. These comments exist from both of us prior to AbT voting for you.

2)AbT has targetted and questioned several people. Look back

3) Hagrid? Is that your safe claim? We've establish through the last games that scum have safe claim. Character claims are pointless and purely narrative at this point.

Yehom is viewinf the thread so he can respond to you regarding himself.

Vote for Finister? Is this you trying ti pin a townie after you die and get confirmed scum by making us think you were distancing yourselves?

Again, your post nearly confirms my suspicions about you.

If you read his posts, he twisting everything that I'm saying and trying to push to lynch the most active player with people jumping on for next to no reason including you. I've added more to this game then both your and ali combined. So when you say, I lack any meaning in my posts, your posts are ussally so small and meanless nobody can hardly get a read on you. So maybe you should check yourself. At least ali makes longer posts with some substance. This is probally your biggest post in the entire game, and I hade to apply pressure just to get you to say anything.

Hagrid is the character name given with my role. The rules state no mass role claiming is involved and seemed to hint role claiming is frowned on like in my games. Name claiming however was never mentioned. This is a themed mafia game. in case you missed the Harry potter theme. I would imagine mafia would have a safe claim of some sort. I truly wonder if you've seen the movies. Nobody is going to counter claim me unless they want to immiditly out themselves as scum. Hagrid is a character who appears frequently in the movies and I imagine just as often in the books. He's likely to be in the game, and you not saying anything to respond to it looks extreamly scummy.

You do seem to want to defend Ali while he's not here. He your scum partner?

Finster should at least explain himself and due to when I know he gets online he probally respond to my post before the day ends.

I found you lurking(Which is a scum tell in case you didn't know), unable to provide substance until I put pressure on you. You clinging to Ali when I finally called you out for your small posts and you just sheeping with ali here. You've also decided to ignore a name claim also.

Unvote

Vote King H

My vote cannot be anywhere but here. You are likely scum who don't want to commit to the game and hoping everybody is too inactive to see my name claim for an easy town lynch. If anybody is likely scum it be you King H, witch if you flip scum, I imagine Ali will too. it matter little though if I'm killed during the day other then impacting the people who lynched me. I'm twice as likely to die as any town during the night Especially after my name claim now.

Yehom now also appears to be lurking. I'm not afraid to call you guys out.

Role claiming for the sake of roleclaiming if frowned upon. Role claiming when you are on the chopping block has and always will be an integral part of the game. You can choose not to do so if you think the risk is worth it (if you are town) but your claim that it isn't allowed to role claim when you are about to be lynched is completely false.

You have the most posts, however people with a fraction of your posts have contributed exponentially more to the conversation. As AbT and KingH said, there is no substance to your posts. You ask everyone else to give their input, demand activity within hours after having been inactive for multiple days yourself, and none of that seems like grounds for suspicion? Perhaps examine your own play for why people might be suspicious of you.

Saying someone is lurking just because they didn't post ONE TIME when they were online is, for lack of a better word, stupid. Lurking is a persistent behavior in which the player adds nothing of substance to the conversation. Which is funny because usually people associate that with whoever posts the least, but you can lurk with the highest post count just like you are this game, so long as your posts are always just calling for other people to give input without giving any whatsoever yourself.

(sorry if my post seems like it jumps around, I responded to your points as I read them in the quoted post)

When people are reading THIS THREAD and then not posting is lurking. They are up to date. It's a scum tell, and Rhizo has done it twice in one day. How do you guys not know what lurking Is? Secondly Champlain, I've committed more to this then Ali and king H combined. This wagon is bullshit and people are just saying I'm not doing anything to add to the conversation witch is 1 false and 2 laughable by the people who are saying it.

I was hoping for something different from foster then a guy feeling. Guess he needed to start for that to be correct. Secondly, defending me? If you believe in what I said you should say something, instead only says you it gives you pause so no, I can't buy you believe or defending me.

You guys are absolutely horrible at reading posts. So we are going to have a Lynch based off of crap reasoning and when I flip the bodyguard what they going to say? Ops. He should of claimed earlier. Half the people in this game are too inactive mafia are probably the main people who are active or this Lynch wouldn't. Everyone on my bandwagon look VERY scummy and you'll try to throw it off as I didn't try to do anything to help the town. Given my role and so many people doing absolutely nothing and inability to see a obvious soft claim of a bodyguard, but inability or your trying to purposely Lynch a townie. For the next day phase since I hope town will wake up and look at this wagon and see how bad it is.

So either two things, you are too new to the game to get common references or your scum and trying to slide a free Lynch to get one step closer for you winning as scum. There is no inbetween. Either a bad mafia player in general or scum who hoping the majority of the town stays inactive.

Ali or king H are good candidates for a day 3 Lynch. King H being the worse out of the two with Ali adding very little other than tunneling and then inactive for

I doubt now the wagon can be reversed with ice-cream jumping on less minute for the sake of being on the lynching wagon. Witch is poor play in General also.

Now will the town ignore what I have to say after I'm lynched for piss poor reasoning, and how will they try to defend yourself after I'm lynched and the truth is in light. How will scum attempt to twist this? Or will they ignore the person whose played mafia since 2006?

I told you Robert, your RC gave me some pause for jumping on your bandwagon, which, in all honesty was what I'm looking for. You didn't claim a power role, but that makes sense since its only D2 and putting that big a target on your back is counterproductive.

Right now all we have to go by is what little posts the others are making and gut feelings. I can't point to one specific post that Mand made that made me scream "thats it!" but just a general vibe from his posts.

Based on YOUR role claim, I'm inclined to keep you alive. Get you investigated overnight and work from there. It served the town well last game until Preston screwed THAT all up! :P

However, there are a LOT of non-participants. Your inactivity doesn't help your cause.

I'll post something later today (busy week), but a small remark that I want to make alreadyit: I'm seeing a lot of ranting now from Roberts side. It only took us what 11 pages and what 50 comments on his part for him to finally say something we can half use

For someone who's played since 2006 you don't seem to be able to view how you come across in their perspective at all.

Many people, me included, will open this thread when they login to the forums. There are a number of times when I do that in which I do not actually read the thread, I end up closing it as I spent all my time online doing other shit and never got to it (yes, I can be one of THOSE people from time to time with the 5 billion tabs). Lurking in and of itself is not contributing to the conversation in any meaningful way. It can be accomplished in a number of ways, by not posting at all (feigning inactivity), by posting just enough, or by posting a lot but not contributing anything. You haven't "committed" anything to the conversation. As far as I've seen your posts entail calling other people out to contribute for the most part. I have yet to see any of YOUR thoughts other than the OMGUS that you are running with now which accounts for exactly nothing since its an OMGUS.

I find it odd that your choice in defending yourself is to throw your experience in our faces and then accuse us of not knowing anything. I'm fairly sure everyone else here has played enough mafia to understand how role claiming works and what the rules are for it, yet you seem not to. I'm also fairly sure that everyone else here can tell when someone is putting them self out there and contributing their thoughts on the situation, and when someone is posting a bunch of crap so that they end up at the top of Kevin's little post count lists so that they can point to the list and say "SEE IM A TOWNIE!!!!! I POST A LOT!!!!!".

Unfortunately its altogether possible that you are a townie, but your choices in how you've defended yourself, how you role claimed, and how you chose to play the game thus far appears far scummier than anything else we have to go on. Also I find it odd that given the fact that I placed the deciding vote on you, you still only accuse Ali and KingH of being scum. Usually its the hammer vote that gets the attention for being scum. Perhaps scum investigated ali and found him to have a power role? Depends on how Robert flips.

I'll post something later today (busy week), but a small remark that I want to make alreadyit: I'm seeing a lot of ranting now from Roberts side. It only took us what 11 pages and what 50 comments on his part for him to finally say something we can half use

I don't see you commiting much to the conversation either, maybe you should look in the mirror before you open your mouth with the same crap.

@champlian, lurking is a scum tell, if you don't want to except it, fine, but when I see somebody reading the thread, I'm expect them to post. I will call somebody out on it everytime. Second, I don't see you adding much to the conversation either, so your point is moot.

Again, crap reasoning, I'll be lynched for "not adding enough to the conversation", when I see next to nothing you guys add. Talk about hypocritical. This is more of, lets just jump on a bandwagon more then anything. One person started and its a domino effect. Just like with the no lynch, cept people were probally going to to go for a no lynch anyways.

I'll be lynched in a few hours here, so it matters little, my role will be revealed by TW and people know I was telling the truth. You've killed off a power townie, but in this game hopefully it dosen't bite us too much on the ass cause I believe there are multiple power townies being a themed game and with so many people. But again, this is my "half baked theory" according to ali, not that I'm creating these theory's from my past experiences or anything like that. Witch my theory's tend to be right for the most part. Course ali trys to use a game i was town in also to argue why I could be scum, when I was town.

We are unlikely to hear from Yehom as the game going to be over in a few hours. He should know this unless he's not paying attention. So a post of, I'll post later, will be his excuse of why the town bodyguard was lynched after he claimed. Not very smart, but he can play the game however he wants.

Didn't get back to this thread last night, so reading it this morning has been interesting.

KevinH's focus on Mand is not unusual per his standard "lynch the most inactive first" logic, and it sets up an alternative lynch target with a neutral reason that no one could blame him for.

However Robert's response and reactions have only hurt his case, and at this point if we DONT lynch Robert that suspicion will linger over the following days. What Yehom said is succinct but true:

I'm seeing a lot of ranting now from Roberts side. It only took us what 11 pages and what 50 comments on his part for him to finally say something we can half use

Ranting aside, there is some actual content to Robert's posts:

1) Initial name-claim as Hagrid, relying on his name to prove himself - King H is correct that it's been established TW gives scum safe claim names, and this very point has shown up in previous TW games: relying on JUST your name is not only worthless, it's scummy. Robert talked about "imagining" scum have a safe claim, and that no one is going to counter claim him... that's the entire point of a safe claim. Robert then attacked KingH for ignoring his name claim, as though it should have carried weight.

2) Robert uses the term "Bodyguard" in his post without explicitly saying "I'm Hagrid and I'm a Bodyguard" - I assume this is his actual roleclaim. Bodyguard is a strange role to have - it's a doctor that dies if they would have blocked a kill. It's in the list TW says COULD be in the game, but it's a weak role... I'd put this in the same category as King H's "Nurse" claim last game, trying to find something you can fake that no one else would have. A "Bodyguard" claim does not draw a counterclaim from an actual Doctor, for example. He also held off on dropping his actual role until mere hours before the deadline - I would understand not wanting to claim at all but waiting did him no favors. Given how fake-able a 'bodyguard' claim is due to it being an uncommon role, the wait also makes me think he wanted to avoid committing to it because he knew it would be weak.

3) The sudden heavy increase in Robert's activity as he is about to be lynched - can hardly be bothered to answer questions until now, and now that he's talking he is slinging accusations more than defending himself. If Robert had approached this far more calmly and said "Okay, I'm at 4 votes - time to roleclaim. I'm Hagrid, a bodyguard - like a doctor but I die if the person I protect is targeted. Still want to lynch me?" - that would have generated FAR more doubt and sympathy towards him, but instead he has been insulting - implying that everyone else doesnt know how to play the game. This isn't Town of Salem where everything is mechanical and quick - this is forum mafia where people have more time to form impressions and your words (or lack thereof) count for more.

At this point I am comfortable voting Robert for the above reasons plus all the suspicion he generated from his evasive past posts prior to his ranting return. There's an outside possibility he's actually town, but the combination of name-claim insistence and a fakeable bodyguard claim create enough uncertainty that he would remain high on my suspect list if he's not dealt with now. If Robert *is* telling the truth, then we'll lose a weak protective role that only redirects a kill attempt once if he gets lucky - something of a loss, but not on par with an actual doctor. I have difficulty believing TW would put a bodyguard in the game... it's almost like a punishment role unless it had some other modifiers on it, but Robert hasn't listed any.

Vote: Robert

-Preston

Doing this on my phone at work so this will be kept short, but the message will be all the same.

Again every post that has posted by Robert ever since he's been close to getting lynched, have all been full on rants about he actually is contributing, how has so much experience playing the game and how everything everybody else says is bullshit unless you agree with him. Talk about good discussion. To top is all of he then on the last possible point of the day half-heartily sort of roleclaim, which we can't even call a claim because you're basically tiptoeing around that as well. I don't know what you're playing at, but whether you're town or scum, it was played very poorly. I still think, seeing all the actions that have led to this, that you're scum and like I said if not, then that was very very poorly bad for someone with so much 'experience'.

Maz, I'm so sorry you're sick.

Robert's role claim is believable to me because Hagrid is such an important flavor character and no one is counter claiming.  Robert's style is abrasive and overly intense, which doesn't help him, but based on his claim I am not going to vote for him.  I do not know who to vote for.  I have been extremely busy and don't have a lot of time atm to focus on this, but I don't think Robert is scum.

If he turns out to be scum then that says a lot about the roles TW is giving out.  Up to now the fake claims have been minor characters, for him to now give major characters as fake claim is a BIG change.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat together at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall the next morning. Harry's day had already gotten off to a poor start. Malfoy and company loved reminding him of his fainting spell any chance that they got. His anger was temporarily displaced however when Fred and George walked over to them and handed them their class schedules. Harry and Ron looked down their lists for the first day:

  • Divination
  • Transfiguration
  • Care of Magical Creatures

And then they glanced at Hermione's class list. She had the same three classes of course but there were also several others listed, a few of which were listed at the same times. When Harry and Ron asked her about her schedule she just shrugged them off and said "Don't be silly."

The Divination classroom was in a part of the castle that none of them had even ever seen and they weren't quite sure how to get there. They headed off in the direction where they thought the classroom was. They hadn't gotten too far when they came across a rather feisty portrait on the 2nd floor. A goofy looking knight named Sir Cadogan challenged Ron to a duel and held his fists up as if he wanted to box him. Hermione interrupted the knight and explained that they were running late and did not know how to get to the North Tower. Being the chivalrous knight that Sir Cadogan was, he promised to escort them to the tower.

When they reached the tower they found a ladder that led up to an attic room. The divination classroom looked like an old fashioned tea shop. Harry, Ron, and Hermione took their seats at a small round table with a pot of tea and three teacups. Professor Trelawney appeared and quieted the class. She had wavy light brown hair, large circular glasses, and wore a large purple shawl. She spoke in a very whimsical voice and explained that they would be reading tea leaves for their first lesson. Each of the students drank their cup of tea and left the tea leaves at the bottom of the cup. Professor Trelawney made her way around the room peeking in random cups and making rather vague predictions. She finally reached the table where Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat. She picked up Harry's cup and gasped. The cup fell out of her hands and clanked on the table. Harry didn't know what to think.

"My dear boy," she said staring into Harry's eyes. "You have the grim!" Most of the class gasped as well as they looked at Harry, who had no idea what that meant. Harry flipped open his book to the section on reading tea leaves and he located the grim.

"The grim is a dark omen. It is commonly associated with extreme danger and death."

Professor Trelawney ended class a little bit early and they left the attic room. Most of the class was freaked out by Trelawney's prediction. Hermione couldn't help but scoff, however. She thought that Trelawney was a total quack. It was not like Hermione to talk about a professor that way but she did so their entire way to Transfiguration.

When they reached the transfiguration classroom they took their seats. McGonagall was not yet there but a black and gray cat sat on top of her desk staring at the class. After a few minutes of waiting, the cat stood up and leapt off of the desk. Instead of landing normally on the floor, the cat had transformed and Professor McGonagall now stood before them and revealed that she was an animagus. The majority of the class did not really react much to McGonagall's transformation though so she wondered why. Hermione rose her hand and explained where they had just come from and what Professor Trelawney had predicted. McGonagall turned toward Harry. "You should know, Potter, that Sibyll Trelawney has predicted the death of one student a year since she arrived at this school. It is her favorite way to welcome a new class."

After transfiguration the Gryffindors made their way out of the castle and toward Hagrid's Hut on the edge of the forest. They had their first Care of Magical Creatures class with the Slytherins. Hagrid stood at the side of his hut as the two classes gathered. He was very clearly nervous and became more so when the Slytherins were complaining about his textbook - The Monster Book of Monsters - and how it had almost killed several of them. Despite his nerves, Hagrid was rather excited to announce the surprise that he had planned for the first lesson. Hagrid instructed the classes to wait where they were for a moment while he walked into the forest. He returned two minutes later holding a thick leash and led a large creature out of the trees that appeared to be a cross between a horse and a bird. He introduced them to Buckbeak the Hippogriff and began his lesson.

"Hippogriffs are proud creatures that can be easily offended. Don't ever insult one, 'cause it might be the last thing you do." Hagrid asked for a volunteer to step forward to assist him. Both classes slowly stepped backwards tentatively except for Harry who offered to help. He stepped forward and was instructed to slowly bow to Buckbeak. This seemed like a very odd request but Harry did as he was instructed. The Hippogriff stared intently at Harry with it's large yellow and black eyes. It considered him for a moment before slowly bowing back. Hagrid applauded. "Well done Harry! Well done. I think he'll let you ride him now."

"What?!" Harry responded as Hagrid picked him up and hoisted him onto Buckbeak's back. The Hippogriff took off at a gallop and Harry quickly grabbed a hold of Buckbeak behind his large wings. The Hippogriff soared into the sky and flew over the Forest for a couple minutes before returning and landing with thunderous footprints on the ground. Harry jumped off of Buckbeak's back and Hagrid had both classes line up so that they could practice bowing to the Hippogriff.

Malfoy stepped forward quickly. "What a joke. I bet you aren't dangerous at all. Are you?" he said as he approached Buckbeak. Hagrid tried to call Malfoy off but it was too late. Buckbeak reared onto his hind legs and thrashed his front legs violently at Malfoy. His talons caught Malfoy's arm and slashed him. Hagrid rushed over to Buckbeak and pulled him back and tied him up. He had done it now. His first day on the job and he was already afraid that he was going to be fired. "Class dismissed," Hagrid called as he took Malfoy up to the Hospital Wing.

Hagrid (Robert2424), a Hogwarts Bodyguard has left his class on day 2.

Malfoy milked his injury for everything it was worth. When he finally returned to classes the Gryffindors and Slytherins had Potions together. Snape forced Harry and Ron to assist Malfoy with the preparation of his shrinking potion. Neville sat at the next table. He was clearly struggling with his own shrinking potion as it smoked and gave off a foul stench. Snape very much enjoyed hovering over Neville as he prepared his potion and criticized him as often as he could.

"Mr. Longbottom, in order to urge you to do something correctly for a change, I will be testing your shrinking potion on your toad at the end of today's lesson." Snape smiled curtly as he turned and walked away from Neville's table. The class had begun to discuss Sirius Black as they continued their work. Neville leaned over to Hermione and begged her silently to help him with his potion so that it wouldn't kill his toad.

Malfoy started talking about Sirius Black as well. He goaded Harry saying: "If it was me, I'd want revenge. I'd hunt him down myself." Harry tried to ignore Malfoy as best as he could.

As their potions lesson came to an end, Snape made his way back over to Neville's cauldron and peered inside to see that his potion was at least the proper shade of violet. True to his word, Snape fed Neville's potion to his toad. Trevor shrank to the size of a silver sickle. Snape scowled. "I told you not to help him Miss Granger. 10 points from Gryffindor for your inability to listen." Ron growled quietly as he clenched his fists.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione packed up their potions supplies and left the dungeon. Harry and Ron led the way up the stairs toward the Entrance Hall as they all complained about Snape. As they reached the top of the staircase Hermione appeared right in front of them. Confused, Harry and Ron quickly turned around and looked behind them. Hermione was not there. "When did you..? How did you..?"

"How did I what?" Hermione asked them.

"We thought you were behind us," Ron said.

"Don't be silly," she responded as her overloaded bag ripped and spilled a dozen books onto the floor. Harry and Ron were confused but they helped her collect her books and they all continued on to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Professor Lupin was waiting for them when they arrived. He instructed everyone to place their books and bags on their desks and follow him to the staff room.

The staff room was empty when they arrived except for Snape. Snape insulted Neville and left the room as Professor Lupin began their lesson. "I've brought you to the staff room for today's lesson because I was fortunate enough to find a boggart living in this closet. Can anyone tell me what a boggart is?" Hermione's hand shot into the air.

"Yes, Miss Granger?"

"A boggart is a shape-shifter. It transforms into a person's biggest fear."

"Very good, Miss Granger. Now, there is a very simple spell one can use when dealing with a boggart. The spell is 'Riddikulus'. When you speak the spell you should picture something that will turn your fear into something humorous and non-threatening. How about we try this out? Mr. Longbottom, would you care to help me?"

Neville stared at him for a moment. "Me?" he asked.

"Yes," Lupin replied.

Neville stepped forward cautiously and stood next to Lupin in front of the closet door. Lupin asked Neville quietly what scared him the most.

"Professor Snape" Neville replied weakly.

Lupin gave a small chuckle and clapped Neville on the shoulder urging him forward. "You live with your grandmother if I'm not mistaken. Is that correct Neville?"

"Yes."

"I want you to picture your grandmother's clothing very clearly in your mind. When the boggart emerges from the closet I want you to picture it wearing your grandmother's clothing." Neville nodded.

Lupin counted down from three and opened the closet door. Professor Snape emerged and stepped aggressively toward Neville. "Riddikulus!" Neville shouted as he pointed his wand at the Snape boggart. He was now wearing an old green dress and a giant hat with a large bird on it. The class erupted into laughter as the boggart stopped moving and looked confused.

"Well done, Neville!" Lupin exclaimed. "Everybody line up!"

One by one the class had the opportunity to step forward and face their fears through the boggart. After Parvati Patil had defeated the giant clown in front of her, Ron stepped forward. The boggart immediately transformed into a large black spider. Several students shrieked as they dove out of the way and knocked Neville to the floor.

"Riddikulus" Ron said as eight roller skates appeared at the end of the spider's legs and it crashed to the floor. It was now Harry's turn. He knew what was coming but hadn't quite figured out how to make it humorous yet. The boggart began to shape-shift again but before it had finalized it's form Lupin jumped between it and Harry. It's shape turned into a large glowing silver orb. Lupin shouted Riddikulus and the boggart deflated like a balloon and Lupin locked it back on the closet before hurrying over to Neville who laid still on the floor.

Harry did not know what just happened. The rest of the class was talking excitedly about defeating the boggart but Harry was not excited. Lupin had jumped in front of him and stopped Harry from dealing with the boggart which he was sure would turn into a dementor. He was also confused by what Lupin's boggart turned into. What was the large silvery orb supposed to be?

Lupin ended the lesson as he took Neville to the hospital wing.

- Was he a VT? -

So Robert really was a bodyguard. Not really sure I have much else to say on that. I was surprised to see him flip townie.

As for Finister, I'm not sure why he was picked. He wasn't really targetting anyone. My theory is the scum are cop hunting, they feel the cop would lay low. Another reason people need to pick up activity. Don't make this game so easy for them. We are 3 townies down and zero scum.

Despite being wrong about Robert, I'm still sticking to my 2 other suspects from yesterday. D43th and Maz (Isocialism) now.

Sister Midnight, it is worth noting you didn't reply a lot towards the end of D2 until the lynch had already been voted on. But what you did mention is that despite a large amount of active players feeling Robert was scum, you felt he was town based on a late roleclaim with no way to track. Usually a sure sign he wouldve been scum, despite the odd fact he wasn't. It is as if you wanted to earn townie points (Samus style) by saying 'I didn't vote on the townie. I knew he was a townie.' I still have more concern towards D43th and would like to hear from Isoc. But I'll keep an eye towards you.

I did a quick and dirty read TL;DR. Lot's of fluff pretty much this is what happen. Day one you guys bent over and said, do whatever you want scum. We need to stop with this d1 NL, it's pathetic in most scenarios. Only if you get a lot of talk and bandwagons on d1. Would a NL made since. You guys are so worried about looking like town, and not stepping on toes that your screwing yourselves over on day one. However on day two, you guys did the opposite with little or nothing to go off on, you guys got pressured and hurried up a lynch on Robert. Though, I felt as if Robert didn't make himself an hard person to lynch, besides the RC. It's day three and there's nothing to go off of. You can hope for a role to presents themselves, but your always relaying on them outing themselves. Town, it's alright if people think you scum, it causes decision.

My feelings right now, are looking at who was on the NL wagon and when, and why. Also who sat on robert wagon without much cause of their own.

Hoping for someone/ some role to help you, to present scum is hopeless. It works when it happens, but when it doesn't you have nothing else to go off of.
