Is not voting any different than voting no lynch? Not really, unless a majority votes for no lynch then the day can end early.

With Sojourner having the most votes at the moment, there will be a few misguided souls who pile on "because we have to lynch somebody".

There's only a 25% chance that Sojourner is scum. (Misunderstanding the cop role is not a very strong scum-tell in my opinion.)

The scum would love to have one less townie. Will they get their way? Or will we coast into the deadline without a lynch?

Note that at deadline, only a half majority is required to lynch so that would be 4 votes by my count.

While it is of course in the scum's interest that we lynch a townie, it is in the town's best interest that we lynch. We really need the information on D2.

Remeber that the cop hasn't done any investigations yet. He can only do one investigation each night and we haven't had any nights yet. Also, you should NOT post who you think is the cop. This information will only help the scum. I know you're new, but I think you should have thought of this yourself. Perhaps you were fishing for other opinions on who the cop might be.

Don't edit your posts! Yes, a SK is an enemy of the townies. A SK wins when he has eliminated all other players. So he is an enemy of both the town and all other scum.

just a little clearing up but why so hard on sojourner? he's new to the game and may not fully understand how cop roles work. i think it would warrant an explanation at worst(as you gave) but no reason for an FoS or vote. the same goes to junk and anyone else on the sojourner wagon.

I don't think I have enough evidence to lynch anyone at this time.

Like what was previously stated, i don't want to bandwagon onto Sojourner just for the sake of lynching someone. I understand the obvious errors, inconsistencies and irrationality of some of his posts but, there is nothing that to me screams scum. Yes, these may be convincing and if something a little more concrete comes out in which a contradiction is so strong as to his strategy or vote pattern I'd be more convinced to lock in my vote.

Martino is also under some suspect although I believe he could clear up the statements he was called out on. He's in the thread right now so he may have even posted while I am writing this. Martino seems to be playing a little scummy when it comes to bandwagon on people. I think it would be a good idea to look back on some of his posts dealing with KevinH and see if he had a similar attitude during that discussion.

Finally, I looked through a few of Falzis' posts. In many of them he he calling for voting or some other rash action rather than discussion, at least as of late. I wouldn't raise a finger of suspicion or even a nod but, its something I'll keep in mind. I know for a good while he was just looking for people to post with him. His post count is probably high, I don't know exactly what to make of this except that it may be a way to get people riled up and vote. Overall however, I get good feelings from him and I don't suspect i'll be needing to vote for him any time soon. I might just be groveling for scum tells by this point...

Oohh there's a 7.1 rule... hmm now that changes my thinking.

I like how Electric Mango and Aquinas posts their townie vibes. If they're getting a good feeling on me, and telling people about it, and I know I'm a townie, I'm getting good vibes from them too. Scum don't usually do town / scum readings especially on the first day so I'm picking up good signals from them.

I'm tempted to vote for Kevin since I'm really more convinced that a No Lynch on Day 1 is more beneficial to scum than town (I trust Mafia Wiki more sorry Kev hahaha).

If you want to know why, I read there that mafia chances of winning increase with each No Lynch based on statistics (I'm not as sure on the explanation, maybe because of the lack of voting patterns and scum tell info).

But I'll stick to sojo for the meantime, my gut is telling me to stick with it for now. If he dies, more food to ration for everyone (I actually only care about more food for me)! MUAHAHA

You know, I just thought about it. Why are people having a hard time to commit to vote? It's not just Kevin. A lot of the people here have been saying how it is more beneficial to lynch on D1 yet they keep on dragging their feet and remain silent on their choice to lynch. It's almost deadline. What more discussion do we need (if that will be your excuse)?

It's looking quite fishy for me the people who can't commit even a gut feel vote. With 13 pages of posts you'd imagine they would get a feel on anybody already.

Is it you don't want to vote because you don't want to be suspected or be tracked with your voting pattern? Or you think that you can let a lynch go by without actually placing a vote (coz of the half majority rule if no majority) thereby flying under the radar?

Vote already people. Show your cards... if you're not insane.

My FOS was for rolefishing. I have no problem with him misunderstanding the cop role; He is new, that can happen. I have a problem with him saying that he thinks X is the cop. I couldn't think of a good reason to post that you think X is the cop. That will just help the mafia, as you may have picked up on a hint they have not. Therefore, I thought that he was perhaps trying to get some more opinions on who the cop might be. It may have been just a rookie mistake, but I can't just let him off the hook only for being new. Therefore, I thought that my FOS was a good way to put some more pressure on him and make him answer me.

well it's like this: i'm new too but i'm not going around telling people i think x is cop, y is doctor and z is psychiatrist. i'd love to go around telling people that i think "x is scum, y is a sk and z is a fool". sadly, i can't say anyone gives me any scum vibes except for sej. and you guys protecting him is kind'a getting on my no0b pride... if there is such a thing.

The patients are townies.

... a Nurse chivvied one of the patients into his cell, who had his head down.

We have a Nurse (doc role?).

... but the guard in the corner of the room watched carefully.

We have a guard (cop role?).

... made by the few people who were left on patrol.

There are others on patrol (masons or trackers?)

... where that one patient stood up from his bunk, and quietly unlocked the door. Something was about to happen.

One special patient (serial killer or godfather?)

I like your thinking on that Kevin. There's good clues to be found if we all go back and look. I don't know if this one will pan out though. That seems like a lot of pro town power roles for this many people.

I hope the voting picks up. There are still lots of people who say that voting is the best way but have not voted for anyone yet. If we don't vote to lynch someone today then how are we going to pick up on voting patterns later in the game? It will be just like Day 1 started all over again. Did someone say dejevu? Well, I guess it won't be entirely the same, we'll have 1 less townie.

As for me I'll be keeping my vote where it is. I said I'd keep my vote here unless someone gives me greater cause to change and that hasn't happened.

Also I think that whoever replaces Calderone will most likely be a townie. I have always thought that if you have a power role you're more likely to stay interested in the game. Well now that I read Mole's statement again it says his whole acct was deleted so now I guess I don't know. If he doesn't get replaced by the time Day 2 starts then we might be able to learn more about his role. For example, if there are no serial killings until Night 2 then he has a good chance at being the SK. (no killing night 1 due to inactivity but night killings start after he's replaced.) Something to think about.

Falzis, I understand your rational for wanting more voting. You seem to be quite pushy about getting people to make uninformed and uncomfortable choices. This makes me uncomfortable and I'll be strait with you, a bit suspicious. I don't understand why you are so adamant about this. I think rather than taunting and pushing people to vote your time would be better spent bringing forward some evidence for who we should vote for. Clearly, the problem is we don't have someone who we feel needs to be voted for rather than our desire to vote.

Do you notice any patterns or have any evidence against someone? Hopefully besides Sojourner and KevinH since those two both have been discussed to death.
