I don't think Canik is scum from what I've seen him post so far, so I'm not going to vote him. Since we're so close to deadline and I don't feel Canik is the right lynch, I'm going to vote Finster because he is the only person so far that is scummy to me and that is closed to being lynched.

The group got a couple hours of sleep before they had to wake up to catch their Portkey back to the Burrow. Percy and Mr. Weasley spent the next several days working overtime at the Ministry of Magic trying to smooth over the PR disaster that resulted after the Ministry botched security at the Quidditch World Cup.

 

Harry asked Mrs. Weasley if Hedwig had arrived yet, but she hadn't. Harry explained to Ron and Hermione that he had sent a letter to Sirius about the dream he had over the summer and that he was afraid that Voldemort was planning something big.

 

Mrs. Weasley made the usual trip to Diagon Alley to pick up everybody's school supplies for the coming term. In addition to their normal supplies, Mrs. Weasley returned with a nice set of green dress robes for Harry and a set of long, maroon velvet dress robes with a moldy-looking lace collar and matching lace cuffs for Ron that were purchased secondhand. Ron was furious when he saw them: 

 

"Why is everything I own rubbish? They look like my Great Aunt Tessie! They smell like my Great Aunt Tessie.."

 

The night before they were to leave for school, Mr. Weasley was called back into the Ministry. Someone named Mad-Eye had gotten into trouble with his neighbors for disturbing the peace. Mad-Eye claimed that an intruder tried to break into his house but his booby-trapped trashcans exploded and scared him off. Amos Diggory begged Arthur to go visit Mad-Eye and try and smooth everything over with the police since Mad-Eye was supposed to be "starting his new job the next day".

 

The Weasley family started talking about Mad-Eye Moody and George mentioned that he thought he was a "nutter". Mrs. Weasley interrupted their conversation to remind them all that Mr. Weasley thinks very highly of Mad-Eye Moody. She went on to explain that Moody was a retired Auror (dark wizard catcher). "After catching so many evil wizards he's been getting really paranoid in his old age. He doesn't trust many people anymore."

 

The next morning the whole family except for Arthur and Percy piled into several taxis to go to the train station. Mrs. Weasley and her two eldest sons, Bill and Charlie, wished them all a good term and said goodbye. Bill and Charlie told them all that it should be an "interesting year" but they refused to explain why when Ron briefly tried to press them on it.

 

Harry, Ron, and Hermione boarded the train and found an empty compartment. They could hear Malfoy through the cracked compartment door talking to someone in the corridor: "Father actually considered sending me to Durmstrang rather than Hogwarts." Hermione explained to Harry that there were two other wizarding schools in Europe -- Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Durmstrang had a reputation for emphasizing the dark arts. Both of the schools had hidden locations so that nobody could steal their secrets.

 

As the train thundered through the countryside, Ron started telling several of their fellow Gryffindors about the Quidditch World Cup. Malfoy walked by the ajar compartment door and started jeering at him. His attention was drawn to Ron's trunk and the maroon dress robes that were hanging out of it.

 

"Weasley, you weren't thinking of wearing these, were you? I mean – they were very fashionable in about eighteen ninety.." Malfoy laughed.

 

Ron growled at him angrily. Malfoy was perhaps just as delighted to find out that Ron doesn't know what was going to happen at Hogwarts this year either.

 

"I know of course because father told me about it ages ago. Heard it from Cornelius Fudge himself."

 

Ron's face turned a darker shade of red as he became more embarrassed and angry. To his relief the Hogwarts Express finally thundered into the Hogsmeade Station.

 

 

Mad-Eye Moody (Finster Baby) a 2-Shot Auror (Cop) had a run in with the muggle police on day 2.

The students made their way up to the castle and were welcomed into the Great Hall by Professor McGonagall. They all settled into their house tables while they awaited the arrival of the first year students and the subsequent sorting ceremony. Harry glanced up at the staff table and looked down the line of professors. There did not appear to be a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher present. The seat occupied by Professor Lupin last year sat vacant.

 

After the sorting ceremony the feast began. Nearly Headless Nick floated at the end of the Gryffindor table staring enviously at all of the food as he chatted with Hermione. The discussion turned toward the Hogwarts feast and Nick explained to them that there were many house-elves working in the Hogwarts kitchens to produce the wonderful feasts. Hermione dropped her fork and protested that the food was produced by what she called "slave labor". Her protest was cut short as Dumbledore rose to his feet behind the staff table and silenced the crowd to share his usual yearly announcements. After several housekeeping announcements, Dumbledore announced that there would not be a Quidditch tournament at Hogwarts this year. Everyone went ballistic.

 

A loud crash came from the back of the hall as the great wooden doors banged open and a man shuffled in. A clap of thunder boomed outside and a bright flash of lightning lit up the sky and cast a harsh light through the windows. The lightning had thrown the man's face into sharp relief. Every inch of his skin seemed to be scarred. His mouth looked like a diagonal gash and there was a chunk missing from his nose. He had one regular eye but his second eye was large, as round as a coin, and was a vivid electric blue color. Professor Dumbledore pointed at the man as he hobbled toward him and announced him to the hall as their new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher -- Professor Moody. Dumbledore shook his friend's hand and showed him to his seat at the staff table before returning to his podium.

 

"Finally, it is my very great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year." There was an immediate buzz and rush of excitement in the room. Harry wasn't sure what the Triwizard Tournament was. "The Triwizard Tournament is a competition between three schools - Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. It has not happened in the last hundred years because the death toll mounted so high. The Ministry has gone to great lengths to restructure the competition to start it up again. A champion will be chosen from each of the three schools on Halloween. These three students will compete in three magical tasks. In order to make this work, Hogwarts will play host to students from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang this year. There are rules of course though. Due to the dangerous nature of the tournament, only students over seventeen years of age may enter. Now off to bed!"

 

Dumbledore excused everyone from the Great Hall and sent them to their dormitories. Fred and George were already plotting on how they could get around the age restriction since they were only sixteen. Later that evening as they were falling asleep, Ron said: "I may go for it you know, if Fred and George manage to.." and Harry could hear him snoring already. Harry sat awake for a little while longer fantasizing about winning the Triwizard Tournament and impressing his crush, Cho Chang.

Obvious fuck fuck games going on with no kills and KitKat seems to be playing to make it "interestng." Only issue is why would other scum play along. Im at work right now but ill try to input more when I can.

Wtf? No kills? I repeat my question, are scum required to do a kill every night? New question, is the game mod required to have scum in every game? Are you messing with our heads, TW?

Assuming someone is doing a great job protecting scum's targets and this is a normal game, then at least one of the following is likely to be scum: Kitkat16, Rhizoctonia, Yehom, Canik. I am firmly fingering all of them.

I guess I'll probably be lynched now for being the hammer on a town, a cop no less.. but at least I'll be lynched for an actual reason now instead of imagined reasons. That's much easier to swallow.

Hmmm, talk about a though break man. Finster played that really bad on his part, unless he had checked SGB which would explain his sudden jump on SGB. To me that is the only logical explanation as to why he would flipflop that hard on SGB, there is no other reason for him to even come close to a spotlight. 

 

Also Canik's last minute vote to ensure the lynch is very suspect. His 'so-called' defense above doesn't help either

Well, crap. Lawl. The only thing I can say is that if I really were scum I'd have played this game incredibly differently. There's simply no need in this game to make myself stand out in any way. I wouldn't have lynched a random person based purely on "his post seems suspicious to me" if I had known for sure that he would be innocent. I mean, my gameplay so far would be so incredibly stupid for a scum that it should show you I'm innocent. And I'm not playing this way so that I can make the argument I have just made in this post either. The advantages gained from confusing everyone are outweighed by the extreme disadvantages of throwing myself into the spotlight.

If you're looking for scum, look for people who bandwagoned on Finster. Scum don't generally have the balls to actually be the person to nominate someone to lynch. They also knew that I'd been pretty erratic in my posts in this thread and probably wanted me to take the fallout. So in other words look at Rhizo, Yehom and Canik. Especially the latter given he voted at the last minute to kill Finster. (Although that's not absolute solid proof of anything, admittedly.)

How does that work? In the games I've played in real life the doctor specifies a person to protect and if the mafia try to kill that person then they fail. In this game, is there a role where if the role blocker manages to guess one mafia and targets them then the group of mafia is collectively prevented from killing anyone?

Mafia can only select 1 member to commit a kill. If the roleblocker found said member, it would block their actions if im correct. Including a kill.

I'm still concerned about KitKats playstyle but im going to go with the same thought process as before. At least until newer evidence arises. Plus why is Canik voting for himself?

I don't really understand the suicide gestures from Kk and Canik. I've only seen it used by scum in a game where the suicider was pretty much caught and did not want to give away any info that might harm his scum buddies. Is there any other reason to vote for yourself?

At this point KitKat and Canik are equally scummy to me. As with SBG, I do not want to end the day early, so I won't vote right now.
