Good explanation KitKat. I appreciate you putting in the effort to catch up and participate in the game. Your explanation rings true to me and I do not think your character acted any more scummy than anyone else up to this point.

TW seems very convinced you are scum but that only makes me more suspicious of him. It's still too early in the game to have any feelings on anyone else at the moment.

I am not convinced that captainjf/kitkat is scum, but captain's actions on day 1 are the best that anyone has to go off of up to this point. So you are saying that you don't believe anything that captainjf did was scummy? Noted.

 

I read that one of two ways:

1) You are town like I suspect and truly don't believe captain acted scummy. This would likely cast me as being suspicious to you since I am suspicious of him. You would also have to be extremely foolish to continue to push me as being suspicious if you were scum since my death would immediately point the spotlight on you.

2) You are scum and know that both kitkat and I are town. You know by "defending" kitkat and questioning me, that any lynch of kitkat will reflect poorly on me and you will use it to say "see TW is scum because he questioned kitkat and I didn't."

 

I'm also not sure how you can say it's too early in the game to have feelings on anyone. We are essentially at the midway point of the game (assuming the worst case scenario). If the town does not find a scum today or tomorrow during the day we lose tomorrow night. If someone doesn't have any feelings on someone else at this point it's because they aren't pushing anyone for answers. Townies should be doing that.

We don't have to decide that quite just yet, but I'd like to hear more from iSoc, Rafay and Finster. Rafay in particular seems pretty inactive.

You're already suspicious. I think Rafay is doing better in his activeness than other games. Is there a reason you didn't mention EM? I think he's the one sitting back and watching the game. I would put him before Rafay in being suspicious.

Simply that he has said stuff lately, whereas Rafay hasn't. I can't comment on Rafay's comparative activity levels as I'm fairly new to IRON's mafia games myself.

I would feel bad axing a person who just came into the game. However, that's pretty much happen to lyner, and is TW life story in mafia games hosted by kevin. Kitkat has been active, and would be a good assets to the town. So i decided to make pro vs con list, and eliminate it til my top three.

 

Pro of lynching KK

Even though he has the same probability as everyone else as to being scum. I feel the likelihood is stronger.

It would end the debate of rather KK/Cpt is/was scum. Leading us to focus on other targets even if we were wrong.

We don;t have to lynch someone else. I mean If KK isn't number one on someone list, he's diffidently number two. He either one or two on someone list. Meaning we could all agree upon his lynch.

 

 

Cons

If town, we would lose an active town, and give scum a freebie. KK is what I would consider a lynch-able player, meaning I would even consider killing him during the night If I was scum. Most likely the town would do it anyways.

We allowed other players to skim by, and besides PR gain no new information.

We would have to lynch all mafia in back to back days, if KK isn't scum.

 

KK is my number two, or at least captain was, KK could sneak up to three but...

So I will risk my self, in an indirect "defense" of kk more like mercy for a day. If I'm wrong I understand the risks. However, he will still be here for a d3 lynch. I will vote for someone who just doesn't seem to being adding anything.

IF kk pop town you would be my next suspect. If he flip scum, you would be within range of being my next suspect. KK has only done one thing wrong, and that was accepted being a replacement and unluckily becoming Captain's. Captain biggest mistake is a 3rd vote on TW if not only. Every thing else is more of a quasi charge against him. Just this once KK, I hope i'm right. The benefits of lynching EM over any other town seems better in my eyes.

These are interesting thoughts, iSoc. I am definitely not sold on EM as scum because he would truly be playing with fire by pushing for me if he were but I could see an argument for him being scum. If Kitkat is town and EM is scum, EM could be "supporting" Kitkat with the hope that we lynch him and then he could push harder in my direction tomorrow while simultaneously appearing as town by trying to support a townie (Kitkat).

KitKat: I'm not sure how much more I can add. We don't have a lot of info available, so in that regard I'm not sure how much more I can offer you.

iSoc's theory is interesting to say the least. If we allow KK one more day to contribute, it could potentially be beneficial to the town. EM is trying, for sure, but I still haven't gotten any type of read on him, pro or anti-town.

We do have less than 24 hours to decide, however. If I don't vote for EM based on iSoc's opinion, or EM roleclaims, then I will toss a coin between Robert and KK.

If i didn't strongly believe that robert activity is due to RL, I think he would be ahead of EM in my list.

So at this point we have three real options: KitKat, EM, Robert.

We need to make a decision so if anyone has comments about the pros or cons of each please share. I'll post more thoughts when I get home this evening.

1. EM: iSoc's arguments hold water pro lynch, but I just have a nagging feeling.
2. KK: D1 actions still weigh heavily pro lynch, him just replacing an inactive gives me pause, tho it shouldn't, scum's scum.
3. Robert: Inactive.

Seeing as nobody is taking up my suggestion of lynching Rafay, I'll go with Robert. It's true he's pretty inactive, and we do need to lynch *someone*.

as I have no idea what my activity will be since I go in for ASVAB testing tomarrow. I'm making sure I'm here the night before. 

 

So looking at the choices, my only real choice is EM. KK/Captain just got replaced in and I've been in that position that the slot was under heavy suspicion. So he gets a pass but only today. Plus he's being active. So I don't see anything from Kit Kat personally that screams scum to me. 

 

TBH, rafay or isoc I would consider. But then again, I don't think Finster has actully been scum yet. He's also being a bit indecisive and isn't his normal. Almost like he's being, very careful. 

 

If TW scum, we were in trouble since the beginning. Lets just face it. If I was the cop, I'd investigate him no questions asked, even if it was a one shot ability. 

 

lordsunday seems town. At least at this time. 

 

but since I have nothing concrete, and the day phase ending. EM, isn't very active. I doubt he'll be back before the day ends. He could go either way.

I am struggling with the decision of which of the three choices to cast my vote for. I see valid arguments for all three of them and have considered all three of them at some point.

 

At this point we are at:

Electric Mango (2): iSocialism, Robert2424

Robert2424 (2): Rafay, Kitkat16

Kitkat16 (1): LordSunday

 

Here are my thoughts on these three votes:

 

Electric Mango

Has been fairly critical of me throughout the game and has defended Kitkat (captainjf) to an extent. Him focusing on me on day 1 and carrying it into day 2 would seem to me to be a foolish venture for a scum to make since my death would likely turn into his lynch the following day. If EM is scum then one of two things is true: 1) Kitkat is also scum and EM legitimately is trying to cover for him and get it passed off as "Kitkat just took over for captain and provided an adequate defense for me to look elsewhere", or 2) EM knows that both Kitkat and I are town and by defending Kitkat he can appear townish and push for my lynch if I continue to push a Kitkat lynch.

 

iSocialism voting for EM doesn't really deter me from voting in EM's direction since I am still neutral on him and maybe slightly leaning town in my view of him. The fact that Robert is voting for him though gives me some pause since I am slightly suspicious of Robert's activity in the game.

 

Robert2424

Robert's participation in the game has been lacking when compared to games that he is very townie. He is usually one of the more active players and at least attempts to scum hunt throughout the game. This game has felt like a deviation from his normal habits. Most of his posts have been short and haven't added a lot of content to the game overall. He noted the lack in activity in the game and then largely did the same. Yes inactives suck but it is the job of the active players to press those less active people and force them to speak and explain their actions. What really concerns me about Robert now is his vote on EM. At the time when he voted, Robert already had two votes on himself. Could this be a townie trying to present another option to lynch? Sure. But this could also be a desperate scum trying to get a last minute push on another townie that seems relatively suspicious in order to save himself.

 

Having said that, the thing that gives me pause on Robert is the fact that Rafay and Kitkat have voted for him. I was suspicious of Rafay's actions earlier on but am less so now. But it's no secret that I am still keeping a close eye on Kitkat.

 

Kitkat16

I am still suspicious of Kitkat and haven't been given much of a reason to change my mind about him. It's possible that he senses movement in Robert's direction and cast his vote for Robert to give the town another good lynch candidate in place of himself. It's interesting that he chose to vote for Robert instead of EM though. EM has obviously been supportive of Kitkat (captain) throughout the game so there could be something there. If Kitkat is town he could just be assuming EM is town as well for supporting him and then be voting for Robert who he thinks could be scum. Or if Kitkat is scum, EM might be as well so Kitkat is pushing the other likely lynch candidate -- Robert.

 

I am torn on which to vote for.

 

If EM turns out scum, we should look at Kitkat next.

If Robert turns out scum, it's difficult to decide where to look next since he has been mostly out of the spotlight.

If Kitkat turns out scum, we should look at EM or Rafay next.

 

For anyone who hasn't voted yet, please get your thoughts in before 11:00am CST even if you don't vote! We need to hear everyone's opinions on this.

 

At the very least, I certainly hope that our power roles have a good idea of what they want to do / who they want to investigate or protect tonight. If we have a cop, tracker, or jailkeeper I would suggest using your actions on whichever of the above three people is not lynched today.

 

Hopefully others will get thoughts in before deadline. I will try to vote right before the 11:00am CST deadline.

I'm starting to lean towards Robert a bit, only because of his veiled accusation of me - I know it's barely an FOS but he seems to think the law of averages should apply here and I should be scum - Nice, but inaccurate.

I tend to agree with TW on EM and KK. Both arguments make sense to me and I can't really add anything of my own observations to them.

I am still torn. However, I think I'm going to go out on a limb here. I may regret this later, however:

I hope we picked this one right. If not, we absolutely need to pressure everyone tomorrow. It is our last chance. Also note, that Kitkat voted for Robert. Could have been a move to try to save himself.
