Pick Your Power X/Y Mafia

Mechanics

At the beginning of the game, there is a draft to determine the order for the bidding on roles.

Once this has happened, each player will send in the role they'd like to be. Only one role from each "slot" will be awarded.
As such, in the event multiple players select the same role (or the same "slot"), the player highest in the draft order wins the role, whilst the others remain Vanilla.

Roles are then distributed and Day 1 begins.
Throughout the bidding phases, the thread is locked, however, mafia may collude privately during this time and then again throughout the day.


Step 1: The Draft
Once alignments have been dealt out, each player must send a (whole) number back to the mod, with the lowest unique number winning the draft. Second place is awarded to the second lowest unique number and so on, until all unique numbers have been exhausted. Next placed on the list is the lowest doubled numbers, followed by the next lowest doubled numbers, and so on. Continue this same process for triples and quadruples.
In cases of multiple players selecting the same number, the higher placed between these players is chosen randomly.

Step 2: Bidding for Roles
Once the draft order has been determined, each player PM's the moderator of the game with the role they'd like to be. Roles are unisex, in the sense, that they can be selected by Mafia or Town. So, it's possible to have a Mafia 1-Shot Vig or a Town 1-Shot Vig, and so on.

​ Very interesting set-up to this game with the draft. I like that I have a chance to get exactly what I want instead of it being 100% random. Count me in!

Draft is unfair IMO - surely everyone will submit one, if that is how the draft works.

Of course, I could always submit 1^negative infinity xD, can't get lower than that

This about sums it up.

Draft begins after signups and Alignments are finalized,
then each of you will submit a natural number through the role PM.

After drafts are done, i will sort the winners and everyone can submit a bid for their desired role.
If no one has bid for it, then its yours.
If two(or more) players have placed bids for a role then the player who is higher in the draft order will get that role.
To ensure that the draft is over within a reasonable time, Everyone is requested to PM me the roles in their desired order
that is, if you want Doc the most and then the cop and so on,
then submit like this.
1. Doctor OR Roleblocker
2.Cop OR 1-Shot Redirector
3. ..

Do know that you can only submit the role couple not a single role.
If you get that role couple,then you stand a equal chance of getting either of them.
ie, if you select Doc/roleblocker you have 50% chance of being Doc and 50% chance of being Roleblocker

So choose wisely.

start submiting bids only after the draft is over.

Draft will end when all have submitted a number,
Bidding will soon commence.
It will last for 5 days or all bids are in, whichever is earlier.
Game Thread is closed during this period.

The draft order will not be revealed and is not to be revealed till the game is concluded.(by telling your no submitted)

If everyone submit one but say KevinH submitted 100, Kevin will be the first.
If there is a tie, then it comes down to a coin toss or i will use some randomizer available online.

Lowest Unique no doesn't mean the lowest possible no, in most of these drafts,the winners are mostly ones who gave double digits no.
It is all a matter of psychology.
