Quick thoughts - I voted Kitkat initially to fasten his appearance here and he retaliated by voting me. All fine there but his joke post somehow became a source of conflict among other players. I kept my vote on Kitkat as I felt the intention of his post was to instigate town and turn them against each other while they contemplate the merit behind his joke. New information and thoughts have been presented and it seems Kitkat is in the firing line for it. I had to look over all the new information carefully before I even think of changing my vote. And Kitkat you're far away from hammer so its too early for a martyr post
Maybe iterating the same thing already said by others-
GoldIron - weak defense that newbies can't be scum but maybe his defense is weak because he is trying to get the hang of mafia gameplay. Hate to target him yet for that as similar to him I am new too (just 1 game old).

Lego - vote hopper as I can see skimming fast through his posts. Has been trying hard to join a lynch wagon, recently buddying up with Brewers. They are the two most active posters so entirely possible that they are agreeing on lots of things and is not confirmed scum behavior. But definitely FoS worthy. Brewers at least posted a good theory behind starting a lynch on Kitkat so I am yet to get any scum vibe from him.

SGB move is interesting. Something worth noting for myself later. SGB vote is cause of vote hopping, while mine is mainly a gut  feeling, and mainly his posts prior to voting for me.

I promised it, and here it comes!

I've been doing all this in order to get information. You could call me a Slytherin, I suppose. Cunning and all that? Except it would appear to have backfired somewhat.

My strategy was to pressure when I saw something, then repeat as I saw more evidence. For instance, take my post in reply to Kitkat. I didn't know then that it was in the rules to not reveal your partners, but that didn't matter as my ultimate aim was to see who responded to me, and in what way. Then when GoldIron made his solitary post, I made some noise to see what the reactions were.

So without further ado, I'll present what I think, and respond to some posts along the way:

Rafay isn't very active, but he is always like that from the games I've looked at.

 

Kitkat, is suspicious, but possibly not scum. Call him a grey person. He's possibly lying about him being scum and almost certainly about the other two being scum. Ok, that is really vague. He could be joking... or could be gambiting. Gets pretty defensive in #110.

 

FrigidInferno immediately agreed that kitkat should be left to day two, which IMO is suspicious. A claimed scum... shouldn't he be lynched immediately? Also, he contradicted himself, saying first that kitkat should be investigated, then saying that Kitkat's reveals should be investigated in post 43. Also, he voted no lynch which is a scummy move as I have stated before. Especially given the fact that mafia could have very high powered roles. Another point, he was quick to follow my lead in both kitkat and GoldIron which makes me think SCUMMY due to the buddy theory. Reading doown he says he knows he isn't scum. Claiming to "know" is suspicious in itself, also, it is a given that few mafia will caim they are mafia , so why the need to say you are town? Show, don't tell!

For instance, should GoldIron indeed be scum, the person who also voted on him is high on my s--t list / scum list, since it would "prove" said person to be "town". I agree with what brewers said: if Kevin votes on a scum, this may well be a post to fall back on to prove his town status. Also, he has added nothing of value so far. RVS still, on page 5, really? 

 

Vgnmaster, tosnie points for recognizing that leaving Kitkat alone was a bad idea. But that could be interpreted as a scum move to earn those townie points; nevertheless, I feel he is town following my instincts. 

 

SBG, I have no ideas. Going by my gut feeling, probaboy town, based on his response to my kitkat post, but I couldn't be certain. Voted no lynch, nevertheless. I like that he is voting for me. After all, I always wanted to be president of IRO... wait, aren't these the first democratic elections in IRON? No? It's a mafia game? But seriously, his vote on me suggests that after a week of fluff he is finally producing valuable info, and also he sees my behaviour as suspicious, making me less suspicious of him. 

 

Canik: Composed entirely of three random votes. But getting three random votes is interesting, and I wouldn't be surprised if either GoldIron or Frigid is scum, which bears investigating. 

 

Robert, I find very suspicious indeed. That was one place where I was telling the truth --> in post 46 he tried to draw attention to my posts, which is an excellent maneouvre for scum, but a really stupid maneouvre for town, unless you are doing it to yourself, like me. I really drew attention to myself today, and he bit starting a wagon on me. He claims that I rub him the wrong way. FYI I don't rub him. He also gives no reason apart from this vague claim. This also sets off another vote on me by SBG. See my first point regarding robert in post 46. 

 

Brewers, it is hard to tell given I agree with many of his points. Unvoted GoldIron when it  isn't going anywhere, suggesting a failed attempt to pynch GoldIron, also, he doesn't reall post much of value, while having lots of fpuff. Finally, I don't like how he says that lynching Kitkat will provide "100%" security that two people are town, given we are not sure if kitkat is town or not yet, or if he is lying or gambiting. 

 

GoldIron, don't have any idea on whether he is scum or town right now. He may be either, but I'm leaning more towards noob town.  Hard to tell with two posts, which makes me want him lynched anyway! Brewers unvoting and my suspicions of brewers make me more confident he is town. 

 

Lachiton got it the wrong way round, IMO, it is more that brewers buddied up with me, except on my final kitkat vote, which is the first time I remember that I supported him in any way. And of course I'm vote hopping... it was part of my strategy! No strong feelings either way.

 

iSoc has been inactive, come on and post, man. 

 

 

Finally, I'll leave you with two factoids, back in TW1 I was draco malfoy, made a n00b mistake, and got lynched D3, see GoldIron. I still am leaning towards town but won't say he can't be scum.

You're twisting my words to lable me as suspicious. With KitKat I said IF he is lynched and is scum, it would clear Robert and TW, since it would be against the rules for him to out them. And then when I posted that you said you agreed with me and was going to post it yourself but I beat you to it. And now you're saying you don't agree with me and I'm suspicious? It seems to me like you jumped right after my vote hoping it would start a wagon on KitKat and now you are realizing the Lynch wagon isnt gonna materialize so you're trying to cover your tracks and lable me as the suspicious one by twisting my words.

I'm not twisting anything. I was just stating you clearly misrepresented what I said. I don't think there is any disputing that you misrepresented what I said. I'm not sure how me saying that the more I think about it the more goldiron is probably just new and was mistaken about the rules rather than acting scummy is a bad thing. Would you rather me just ignore logic and common sense and stick with an initial reaction to a post? Would that be less suspicious for you?

i switched to kitkat because i figured it was a decent strategy to possibly prove two people are town.  i didnt switch cause the goldiron wave wasnt going anywhere.  i still feel its a viable solution, but if i find out that MK would not have informed us or reset the game if the rules violation happened, i have no issue with admitting my strategy would not work.  it ONLY works if the rules violation would have triggered a game reset like SeaBee mentioned.  So until I get a definitive answer from MK on this, im leaving my vote on kitkat.  

 

and i wouldnt want you to forget about me.  I would be a hypocrite and very scummy if i felt that I should be able to fully scrutinize you (or anyone), but not expect the same treatment back

but, there is another clause to that rule, if all the scum members agree to it, a scum can out fellow scum, as a tactic.

so i can't confirm nor deny whether all the 3 are scum as they could be using a tactic or it could be a rule violation.

a rule violation may result in a reset, but sometimes it will be dealt with by giving out a warning privately.
depending on the mod's discretion.

I made this post as i feel that my post after KitKat's became a major argument in the successive posts.
I now feel that the wording of my post there is not accurate.

My post was just a clarifier for all the new players, as some of them will soon ask me if what KitKat did is permissible.

So keep hunting scum and don't drag me into all your posts.

I agree with the fact that i contradicted myself, but have you ever heard of this wonderful WONDERFUL thing called "Changing your mind"? I noticed that investigating either the warrior or robert had more merit rather than investigating kitkat, finding out mafia, and so stir town into a frenzy to get rid of robert and the warrior, who most likely are town. of course, the invest role will have to find out for sure.

I always vote "No-Lynch" Because i dont understand how a random/Guesstimated lynch benefits Town. True, you might get lucky and get rid of a mafia. OR you could get rid of a powerful town role, like "Cop" or "Doctor". No-Lynch would benefit Town way more in d1, i feel.

I followed your lead cause i thought that your theories had merit, not cause i wanted to "Buddy up".
