What's with all this RC this early in D2? It was weird with Lego and to quote Yehom "uncalled for and stupid" in case of brewers.

Quick thoughts on both:

Lego - Claims reloader without the urgent need for it. It's not the smartest move, but maybe just poor timing rather than being malicious. So I feel he is town, as scum aligned reloader will give unlimited power to scum and IIRC Kevin said he tried to make the game balanced. So unless he lied about his role, I am more inclined to believe Lego is town. Now I had voted him on D1 but not gonna place on a possible town. Unless further information comes to light, he looks town to me.

Brewers - Not sure what his exact role is but looks like he RCed immune to SK. Though he said that in reply to Imran calling him out, he could've been smart about it if he really wanted to prove there's a SK and not giveaway his immunity ability. This mostly looks like self preservation to me as SK won't be fool enough to target him and scum won't feel he is important enough to kill, in addition to appear townish to avoid being lynched. I have to read up the role list to know his exact role, but I was thinking even if he is not lying, he can be scum aligned, as SK can target both scum and town. Coupled that with his uncharacteristic posts where he is only defending instead of his usual offensive scum hunting by dissecting posts of others, I feel something's off there.

Lol not sure. It was not smart call on your part but it felt to me you had good intentions. Maybe Yehom felt the same so that's why he didn't feel the need to go hard on you. Did he react to your RC at all? He might have missed it.

Brewers was stupid and uncalled for as it was just to prove SK exists or not. At this point of time people are already making deductions on that based on the night kills, so there was no need to provide "hard" evidence on their existence, especially if you just want to hint to SK by saying hey I am immune to you so you better try other people.

But if you're feeling left out, yeah both of your RC were stupid

Because I can actually reason why you would do it. Like you said before you are basically a VT unless someone with a good power dies. If that's false, it's easy to call out as there are people with ways to see if you're lying or not. If it's true, it makes for a cover as mafia/werewolves aren't inclined to kill you, because it would only confirm your role as you claimed. Mafia/werewolves are more likely to keep you alive, because there they want to keep all the people alive that could be seen as mafia/werewolves by the rest of the town. Your RC was uncalled for, yes, but I wouldn't call it stupid just yet. We'll have to see how it plays out to see if it was stupid or brilliant

The RC is odd, but i can see the reason behind it too. If you don't know who's who. You could be refilling no one important, someone important who doesn't need it, or the opposite of that, and/or a mafia member. The role is not useless, but there's no way you can tell without knowing roles, so unless you gain info. You feel like your role could be useless or harmful.

Lego roleclaiming does have it's benefits, lets town with X-shot powers know they may be able to get to use that power again and adjust accordingly. Still kinda early IMO but we'll see. 

​Brewers.. hard to see much benefit from knowing for sure a SK is out there. We were already going to be suspicious and what more can we do? Definitely a bad mistake by Brewers or a ploy for cover.

VGM targeted TW. (Could of been Ali, but if I was VGM I'd of chosen TW.). Mafia kills ali. Werewolf kills VGM. TW dies due to be newly lover of VGM.

 

This cant be the scenario. Read the Cupid role PM I posted. If vgm targetted TW, vgm does not become Lover with TW but anyone else targetting TW become Lovers with him and will die when TW dies.

 

Lets say vgm targetted ABT

TW cannot target ABT as he does not have the ability

so TW was not Lover with ABT

therefore TW's death was not due to Cupid action

 

 

Much more like scenario is:

vgm targetted TW

and ABT targetted TW

then TW and ABT become Lovers

Mafia kills ABT, resulting in TW dying as well

Werewolf/SK kills vgm

​I can see it now. Samus finally joined another game (this one) and I could see Samus as knowing TW well and liking to pick on him a bit perhaps. I have no basis for that but seems like it might be a thing so he kills TW N1 and AbT & TW were tied by Cupid so they both die.

I've nothing of note to add to the conversation at this point, we have 2 role claims both of which seem to have been entirely unprompted. My assumption at this point is that the role claims are not fake because fake claiming randomly without any pressure is way too risky for a scum normally, though I suppose there are a lot of possible roles in this game.

But that's the exact reason why it's a bad idea.  Mafia/Werewolves would keep him alive and now that's one less threat to them.  They likely care about more important roles and finding them, Doctor/Cop/Etc then his role, thus all he's really done is eliminate someone they have to worry about killing.  His role is a lot better off being unknown then known, but say for instance there's a cop with a X-shot ability.  The cops uses all his powers up, and comes forth what he found, basically saying his results he found and that he's now out of X-shot abilities and now is basically a VT because he has no more night actions.  Well unbeknownst to everyone else, Lego has this role that he could allow the cop more night actions without anyone knowing, and while the rest of the mafia/werewolves no longer think the cop is a threat, he's still investigating people.  But since he has now told everyone, if the cop is X-shot or some other role, now the scum know there's a role to repower them up.  

Lego's role is beneficial when no one knows it exists and a person with a X-shot comes forward with information they have and saying they no longer have any powers.  Unknown to everyone else he could be repowering the roles in hiding while scum think they're basically VT's now.  But now that it's known, he fully destroyed that opportunity.  There's no way to fact check, because now if someone comes forward that they used up all their night actions, the scum/werevolves are going to either kill the person out of night actions or kill Lego to make sure that other person doesn't get anymore attempts.

His power could of been way more powerful then anyone's giving it credit for had he kept his mouth shut.

How does it have benefit that everyone knows?  Please tell me how it's beneficial that he told everyone he has this ability, compared to if he didn't RC for no reason at all and had some town with X-shot used up all theirs and came forward with what they found stating they have no night actions left that Lego could be refilling them and no one would have a clue.  His power is beneficial when a town X-shot comes forward stating they're out of actions thus he knows who to use it on, but he instead didn't wait for that and just told everyone.  Now if someone does come out, werewolf/scum are going to target either Lego or target the person out of night actions.  Not beneficial at all.

It wasn't a dumb mistake, it was a very costly one.  Scum now do not have to worry about killing you and instead look for other important roles, and werewolves now know not to target you and go after more important people, along with you could of helped killed some werewolves had they not known of your role and targeted you.  You, like Lego have basically took your roles that could of helped, and  instead made yourselves essentially useless and VT's basically losing any benefits town could of gotten.  Both, for no reasons at all.

I have not posted much because I have nothing much to add to the conversation. I think there are at least 2 factions, scum and ww, with a good possibility of sk.

It seems the obvious, simplest explanation of current events (occam’s razor) is scum or killed TW, and SK and WW killed the others. The other theories are totally valid, but that is the simplest and therefore the most likely. Any sk who isn’t a very experienced player would get right to killing, imo.

Btw, I forgot to post my traditional, and genuine morning exclamation of dismay: OH NO! Not TW and ABT!!!
