Does a character's name has any connection to roles?
Does a big character in the series translates to a big role here?
Does having a good guy character equals being town and having a bad character means scum alignment?

Anyway since you are all being led away by a completely clueless SBG and I already have 5 votes on me, i am gonna make a partial role claim.

My name is Luke Skywalker.

I wont reveal my role but if you are town you know that you dont have that name and I dont need to let you know if Luke Skywalker is an important character or not.

You're stretching.  If we're going to suggest that names = good/bad side in this game, where it appears it maybe, let's stick to the theme the game which is from the movie The Last Jedi, for which Luke was on the good side for anyone who hasn't seen it.  Suggesting Luke goes to the dark side based on something outside of the movie as some sort of reasoning to counter a role claim's name hold zero merit when there's an obvious theme to the game.

The only thing about simply a roleclaim of a name should be the idea that it's very likely scum were given a safe role claim name to use, especially if all scum were named after First Order characters.  Going off the idea that a scum was killed last night and had a first order character name, I'd say the likelihood of the scum team getting safe names is very high, as otherwise it would be very hard for a scum to fake RC outside of guessing a name and hoping no one was that.  Being that Imran is claiming Luke Skywalker, I'd say the likelihood of that name being in the game, especially this many people is likely very high.  That being said, no one knows the makeup or names chosen by the Mod of the game, and giving Luke as a safe RC to a scum would be an interesting move to make as most as I previously stated would think Luke would of likely been a name given to a town, not simply a name for scum to fake RC as. 

TBH, I don't hold much weight towards simply a name RC by anyone, because outside of the mod(Kevin), no one knows what characters name were used for town outside of likely resistance character's it seems, and the fact that I'd wager money safe RC names were given to scum to use....could Luke be one of them, who knows.   I'm not saying Imran should fully RC with his power as well, but I think people should base their votes off other things rather then a name.  

What I see here is Sea really pushing for an Imran lynch, and many people just jumping on his wagon.  I see little from most of the people who have followed Sea onto that outside of just saying Sea made a good point and voting Imran.  To me, this could signal a few scum/werewolves(if there are some) jumping on the wagon, knowing if Imran is lynched and is found to be town the finger would pointed at Sea and not them.  Not to say Imran isn't scum, but it's intriguing when so many jump on Imran with zero reasoning of their own outside of following Sea's thought.  

I'm more suspicious of people that are voting the RC'ed people.  Though I've already said I think it was absolutely stupid for Lego and Brewers to have RC'd and ruined their powers, their RC's themselves do not really seem off to me.  Both seem to be different roles for which we've seen from those killed that there's roles being used that are usually not in play.  So my suspicions go to both CoD and Kitkat at this point.  

Also, read a few people calling this game boring.  I honestly had to laugh..this game has garnered more activity then most games given the fact that it's merely D2 of the game where otherwise most games have little activity during the early days besides right near the deadlines of the days.  I think the length of these days are a bit much which causes people to not get as involved knowing there's a week or more left to go til the day ends, but this has remained pretty active so far given we still have 5 days until the end of the day.

It is hard to think Luke Skywalker doesn't = good but IMO that almost makes it more likely it's a 'safe name'.

​IIRC I was Harry Potter in one of the Harry Potter games.. but I was scum. Of course that was TW Modding not Kevin but still.. Kevin definitely wouldn't want to make things so obvious. So he'd either mix it up himself or use a randomizer.

But I put ooc as it isn't related to this game, with seperate storylines and mods. It just goes to show, scum have in the past had major characters as safe claims, and hence, why I don't care for name claims. [/ooc]

I feel confident with my Imran vote. Next, he'll claim a role and either a) try to bait the actual roles to come out or claim a random role that would be unlikely but possible to see in the game. I do feel some of the people jumping on this wagon should provide more than an "i agree", because it would be easy for scum to hide on a wagon with that being the only reasoning. That is in the unlikely event Imran is even town.

KitKat, you must understand something about Mafia. My vote is a tool(Sometimes my only tool). Yes its primary function is to lynch people. To me, its just making a strong statement. I placed the vote cause I did not like your actions. It isn't helpful for progression of the game, and is annoying. I know some mafia players (Not here) would find it entirely scummy. Weeding out or in this case, highlighting problems, isn't a bad thing. I don't plan on lynching you, but if my vote made both of us feel in the end it improved either of us at mafia, and maybe generate discussion at the same time, it isn't a waste. if a habit or something people do, that seems scummy to people isn't highlighted, how can one person not improve or even know about it unless somebody highlight it. I'd expect you or anybody to do the same thing to me. Its 1 vote. It isn't going to kill somebody, or if somebody felt it was equally annoying or scummy, they'd vote for it. if more, well, we can fix not only this issue, but find bandwagoners and even find scum indirectly. Some things just aren't black and white.

The more that I read into both of the replies, I get more of a scum vibe from YOU Rafay. You fully well know Imran didn't say that to show he's anti town. My understanding is he said that to show that the townie in question is doing no service to actually saving the town. He didn't vote for him or try and raise a point to get him lynched. I think that's quite evident here and you Rafay are trying to dig at that to make Imran seem more anti town.

Right. You asked what I meant when I said something about CODs posts are off. I have played with him quite a few times and I know how he posts. His posts in this game have been a little off which is suspicious to me. Normally he comes up with good reasons and makes deductive posts on who may be scum. But in this game I see him jumping quickly on an obvious townie wagon with not much explanation.

 

The wagon Imran referred to at the end of that post (if I'm not mistaken) was again the lego wagon. So even though twice in that post he made it clear that he believes whole-heartedly that lego is town, he still says he should be lynched because "the town would be better off." Since when has the town ever been better off if one of us dies?

 

His entire post to me felt less like explaining and more like "Well there no way I'm scum so all of you must be." Imran's definitely not ringing town to me right now, and so far has become the best candidate for lynch

lego has been posting a lot of distracting stuff and also made a pointless roleclaim and been jumping from wagon to wagon which is detrimental to town. so lego's activities is directly hindering the town to scum hunt, which was the reason for my tongue-in-cheek comment that he should be lynched. If i wanted him lynched I would have voted for him. So its funny you are trying to use this as an excuse to get me lynched.

Or were you hoping to get a wagon going on LS and hopnig he'd be too inactive to save himself, but you knew Samus would be able to pop on and refute your inactive vote?

 

Already explained I could have voted either Samus or LS, both were on the same level of lurker level in my book. I had forgotten LS had posted he wont be available due to RL. Another flimsy excuse being reiterated by you, which I had already explained. 

It's weird Imran that you chose to "attack" those who agreed with Seabee instead of refuting the points raised directly. Now it is entirely plausible that scum might try to piggyback on a presumably townie lynch but you should have addressed the rest of us after addressing the allegations first. Instead you're just chiding others that Seabee's points are not worth looking at and we are scums and in Lego's case deserving of lynch even though you feel he is town. This won't work. I don't necessarily agree about the SK kill on N1 point that he brought up as I too asked similar question to him as I was curious, but his points on you jumping on CoD wagon is spot on.

Luke Skywalker probably doesn't indicate your alignment, so this was a waste of your name as I was Harry in one of TW's games and was still scum.

And I agree, the other guys who voted for you, didn't add any substance or meaningful reason to vote imo apart from SBG really.

 

But we'll see at the end of the day, if Imran gets lynched tonight and he turns out to be town. we know who the scum players are.

If there are safe names, it will probably some side character, not a major character.

 

Anyway, even if I dont get lynched today I have opened up myself to be NK'ed by one faction tonight because I had to role claim because of horiific reasoning and bandwagoning vote by sheep.
