[KH-19]The Last Jedi Mafia, Town Wins

Don’t try to read anything special into the flavor names (Luke Skywalker is not necessarily the most powerful role)

Considering I know nothing whatsoever about Star Wars except there was a guy named Yoda I'm the worst possible replacement :P

In all fairness, the theme is just for story purpose and in theory shouldn't have any bearing on the game. That said, with a source material as rich as Star Wars (along with the size of this game), all bets are off when it comes to potential roles.

Vgmmaster is correct. No Star Wars knowledge is required to play this mafia game. However, to be culturally literate in real life, I advise seeing all the movies. (Plus you'll understand the jokes here)

You shouldn't be. You played that game too ;). I assume Lego refers to the game where I was trying to lynch him from the very beginning, only to realize on D4 that the real scum is you and CoD.

That one, and the one where we were scum together with King Hitler as he was then known. I think it was him. Or it may have been someone else. I got lynched D2 or D3, lol

Argh! Now I'll have to stay up till 2am again! Oh well, I want to do update hits anyway so it shouldn't matter :P

Isn't there some wierd thing where the first movie published was the last one or something?

I better head out and watch the movie then to avoid these spoilers.

Anywhere where is the obligatory "no lynch vs lynch" argument?

With the amount of players we have in this game, what are the odds we hit scum (assuming at LEAST 4) or even a 3rd party as mentioned versus hitting an important PR like cop or doctor?

I'll try to do the math when I have time

21 players: say 5 anti town roles (SK and 4 scum, for example)

23% of hitting anti-town

6 anti town

28%

So pretty good chances

I'd think there are probably two anti town factions,a big one and a small one in a game with so many players.

Bar scumtells I always vote inactives, never no lynch and never RVS hammering (eg someone hammering Rhizo right now for those not familiar with that term)

Meh, skip the prequels, they sucked, and Jar Jar Is an affront to any self-respecting fan. Not too big on Ewoks, either, but since they were in the original series, I can turn a blind eye. Always remember, characters that exist primarily for merchandising purposes ruin movies.

The prequels were so bad.  the writing was awful awful awful.  Lucas then added stupid crap like midichlorians and wanted everything done on a green screen.  The the acting... omg was it bad.  "I hate sand blah blah blah"

At least the clone wars tv series made Anikin a little more than a whiny bitch.

If you want to watch the entire series I advise going the modified original order:

1) Rogue One - You learn about this scary empire and what they do, you also meet this insane badass villain

2) Episode IV - You see this villain again, start to learn some things, but you get curious about what all happened

3) Episode V - You learn more about the plot but with some interesting parental twists you may be a tad confused soooooooooooooooooo

3) (OPTIONAL) Episodes I and II - Gives light-bearing who-really-cares backstory that isn't entirely relevant to ANYTHING from the original trilogy

4) Episode III - You learn about the villain, and get some insight to what's going down

5) Episode VI - Now that you got a better picture, you're ready for the conclusion to the original trilogy (and it's much better than anything else you're in store for)

6) Episode VII - Get to meet the new faces of Star Wars and yadda yadda yadda

7) Episode VIII - And finish it all off with the most recent movie in the series

That is my recommended order of watching if you haven't seen the movies yet, it makes it a little more exciting and helps to at least piece some of the crap into a reasonable fashion :P

Also, there are two players still inactive I believe (Jazzy/Robert)... Is there an update on their status and whether or not they'll need replacement?

I marathoned them all in order I-VII and i really regretted doing I and II

lol lets be honest.  george lucas was not a talented enough writer to work that through.  Plus he probably would have been killed for being a rival to Darth Sidious

can you please stop debating the merits of the prequels etc in a mafia thread for the sole purpose of boosting your post counts without saying anything relevant to the game

With 21 alive, it takes 12 to lynch, or 6 at deadline.

Deadline is Friday, January 12, 2018 at 07:00 EST.

Still no word from Jazzy, though the deadline isn't due till the 12th. Is he still active or is Kevin already in search for a second replacement? I thought I read that Canik could get a hold on Jazzy

I'm here ish. I'm waiting for them to set up my personal Wi-Fi for me on base. I'll check in when I can and Lynch scum when I have a stable internet.

But I thought you couldn't vote for yourself. :P

Hello again, remember me from Harry Potter mafia? :P

Hello, sure I do...nice to see you again :)

Now I'm curious to hear what happened between AbT and Lego in the Harry Potter mafia. xD

Might as well lynch the inactive first rather than later.

Jazzy responded to my ping yesterday. He isn't too sure what to do during the first day but he should be popping in soon.

I'll take the vote of confidence he'll be joining shortly

Have to celebrate New Year's in the next 30 min, welcome to 2018 everyone! :Toot:  :Toot: :smoke:

Hope you'll have a good New Years!  Here's to 2018!  Looks like we got a long way til deadline, may help us get an idea of who will be actively playing and who will not be.  Pressure is already on the least active, so hopefully now that Jazzy saw the PM they'll be joining us soon.  Imagine most people will be more active come after tonight/tomorrow with New Years
