Ash continued down the street until he reached the PokeMart. He walked inside and had the clerk refill his potion bag. Ash handed the clerk several bills folded in half and thanked him before he turned and left the store.
Ash decided to cut through a nearby park on his way back to check on Charizard. As he walked along the path he could hear some shouting up ahead of him around the bend. Ash turned the corner and saw a 2v2 battle in progress so he stopped for a minute to watch. A Venusaur and Rhyhorn stood about 25 feet away from but facing a Blastoise and Hitmonchan.
"Venusaur, vine whip now!"
Vines shot out of the giant plant on Venusaur's back and whipped toward the Blastoise.
"Blastoise, withdraw!"
Blastoise ducked into his massive shell right before Venusaur's vines glanced off it's back.
"Rhyhorn, take down now!"
Rhyhorn charged at Blastoise and hit him as soon as he had re-emerged from his shell. The force of the collision between Rhyhorn and Blastoise rattled the ground as though a small tremor in the earth had just occurred.
Blastoise was knocked backward into a nearby tree and fell to the ground.
After the battle had concluded Ash hurried back to the Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy rushed over to him as the door opened. "Follow me quickly!" she said as she waved for Ash to follow her. "There's been an incident with Charizard!"
Ash hurried after her into the back of the center. The observation room appeared as though a fire had engulfed half of it. "What happened here?" Ash asked.
We were running some tests on your Charizard and it must not have liked them. Charizard started thrashing around all of a sudden and giant flames shot out of its mouth. One of the fireballs landed a direct hit on a Snorlax that we were observing and caused severe burns. We had to send the poor Snorlax to the burn unit at the Saffron City PokeCenter.
Atliis (Blastoise), a town Skull-Basher (Macho Cop), has been knocked out on night 4.
Canik v.2 (Snorlax), a town Rest-er (Ascetic), has been badly burned on night 4.
It is now day 5.
