I'm not 100% sold on Ali being town, I've explained my reasoning in my latest post (#871) and I had a town vibe from Ali from the start which made it hard to believe from me he was scum. I just have to start somewhere and my assumption at this moment is that Ali got framed and unless this gets proven otherwise I'm staying with it and working from there. Which has led me to the 4 people I think are scum.

I guess the smart play could be to leave ABT alive for now, and have Rhizo investigate him tonight, and then we will get our answer for sure, and then we can lynch one of the other potential scum.  

 

 

 

Think he meant Lach visited him.  I screwed up that earlier as well thinking Atilis was the one who came forward with the Guilty on AbT

I also agree AbT makes a good point about the motion detector N1 on Samus claimed by Medved.  I would assume, that a motion detector would not pick up on an action of an Ascetic, since outside of a kill no one can.  I know I investigated Samus N1, and got No Result (was thinking I was RB, I almost did it on him again N2, glad I didn't).  I would assume that a motion detector would not pick up on me visiting when my action was not possible to be done.

I still like Yehom.  What worries me about Medved is the fact the two people on it are two people who have been fairly connected for awhile, as Mandarijn has sided with AbT since early on and continues to.  I'm sketched by AbT for multiple reasons, and Mandarijn I am because he seems so sold on AbT when I don't know how someone could be that sure.

As I stated, I think AbT has the potential to be possible any of 3 possibilities, scum/sk/town.  If he's scum it would be a good lynch, if he's a SK or Town, it's not preferably given that we need to lynch Scum, and if AbT is SK, he's a threat himself to the likes of Scum.  I've been hard on him, but nonetheless I think the better lynch is elsewhere.  

I also will bring up, though I'm comfortable with Brewers coming up town by Atillis, Darkfox did too and has been less talkative and the possibility remains we have a Godfather role.  

I feel more comfortable with the likes of Medved/Yehom today personally

No, motion detector cannot see action performed on a Ascetic. I think brewers realized his mistake with his last line

Brewers changed his interpretation in the last line. If you read it fully:

"A role attempting to target an Ascetic should be seen doing so by Trackersand Motion Detectors. Investigative roles (Cops, Role Cops, Watchers, etc) should receive "no result" if attempting to investigate an Ascetic role."

 

It clearly states Watchers, etc. should also receive "no result".

Not to mention Medved conveniently detected those actions which are already known. And I think he made another mistake when he said he got "no result" on Attlis, when atlas couldn't submit his action that night. So it would have been "no result"

I don't know that it's going to be a poison kill.

Gengar is a poison type Pokemon and I don't want to be blamed if poison shows up in the flavor text.

Option A- medved messed up like i did when reading the wiki (which shows if he read that same line i did, then it is completely plausible for him to make the same mistake I did) and medved fabricated his role claim and is scum

 

or

 

Option B- TW messed up as a mod and accidentally sent medved that message.  TW is extremely thurough and experienced, so I do not think he would make that mistake, and if he did, he would probably find a way to rectify the mistake, as it would directly impact the outcome of the game

 

Option B is something that I do not think is even remotely likely.

Damn, went to site after you posted and read it and thought same thing.  I guess he'd only pick up a result of motion had I been the target he picked.

I do believe both are scum.  I'd urge people to highly consider Yehom tomorrow if Medved goes tonight and I'm not around.  So far, only Rock type I believe that has RC, Flavor seems to suggest it, and the "avalanche" action that Golem has.  

Kevin is acting a bit odd, seemingly trying to counter a future flavor possibly before it happens.

I'm with agreement that Medved seems to have messed up though.  I'm fine with either today, and since Medved seems to be the choice atm, I'll go that route

I don't know that it's going to be a poison kill.

Gengar is a poison type Pokemon and I don't want to be blamed if poison shows up in the flavor text.

 

Gengar is mainly a ghost, so if Gengar preformed the kill, it would probably be his signature move, shadow ball.  plus in Gen I, which is what we are based on, Gengar does not learn any poison attacks when leveling up.  

yeah I agree with Rhizo, yehom is probably scum, but medved has a lot more "hard evidence" to suggest he is scum

Gengar learns the move confuse ray.  KevinH could be: Gengar, a Mafia Confuse-ray (Framer)

 

All of the roles are associated with a pokemon role that fits what the action is.  A Confuse Ray causes a pokemon to be confused, and potentially hurt itself.  Being framed would cause a pokemone to potentially come up "confused"  and "hurt itself"  with a guilty verdict from a cop

I think finally we are moving in the right direction. I am guessing its 3 mafia + 1 SK. I dont think TW would put FBI agent if there was no SK and how Rhizo has played this game, I tend to believe him he is not making up his role.

So certainly - Medved, Kevin and Yehom are a team or if AbT is not SK then Yehom is. He claimed bulletproof, so it can be either mafia bulletproof to save from SK and vig kill or bulletproof SK.

Okay so I am going to further expound on my KevinH is Gengar the Framer theory

 

Ash caught up to his Pokémon and got in front of Charizard since he would not stop or turn around when called. The Pokémon's gaze was fixed on the trees in front of him and refused to break his stare or cease his forward movement. No matter what Ash did he could not get his Pokémon's attention.

 

 

After reading more into Gengar's moveset, I realized Gengar learns the move mean look and hypnosis.  Based on the flavor text, I think it is very likely that Either Mean look, Hypnosis, or Confuse Ray was the move used on Charizard(ABT)  to frame him. 

 

Lets look at the Pokemon in game depiction of all three of those moves

 

Mean Look:  

The foe is fixed with a mean look that prevents it from escaping.

 

Confuse Ray:

A sinister ray that confuses the foe.

 

Hypnosis:

A hypnotizing move that may induce sleep.

 

Mean look fits directly with the flavor text, and suggests the target cant escape.  Framed people cannot escape a cop

 

Confuse ray:  uses the word sinister, and "confuses" the target about their role

 

Hypnosis: While not entirely in game supporting being framed, everyone knows hypnosis consists of two things:  Staring at something and getting lost in your gaze (like a moving watch), and then being completely at the mercy of the hypnotist doing what they want.  Or in the mafia sense, hypnotizing someone to become "scum"

 

Based on the flavor text, both mean look and hypnotize seem like very likely attacks/roles that could have been used on ABT/Charizard, and based on the description of the attack, so does confuse ray.

 

"Bulbasaur, use your vine whip to snap Charizard out of this."

 

 

In the game, when a pokemon becomes confused and gets out of it, how is it worded?  Its worded like this "Charizard snapped out of Confusion"  TW is very detail oriented.  So perhaps this is not an accident.

 

harizard shrugged off the attack and turned on Bulbasaur. He tilted his head back and opened his jaws. Ash could see the glint of fire building in Charizard's throat.

 

 

Confuse Ray is a move that makes you hurt yourself in game because you are confused.  Bulbasaur is part of Charizard's team of good guys.  So why on earth would he attack bulbasaur?  because he was confuse ray'ed.

 

I think its most likely that Gengar is a Confuse Ray-er Framer, but the other two moves are still options for KevinH as a framer.  Plus that was the night ABT was framed.  So in my eyes, this makes the most sense.  Flavor in this game is extremely detailed and important, and nothing is a coincidence.  TW put everything in there for a reason.

 

When I get off work tonight I am going to read back every single post KevinH made the entire game, and see if his posts/patterns/behavior support this theory.

or to make it easier and less time consuming on my part he can just admit im right
