Not sure I agree with that. The hard left is pounding the Socialist drum right now, solely because they hear things like free college, free healthcare, and universal basic income. It sounds so wonderful they enthusiastically support these idiots. They don't even do the basic research to discover for themselves that the nation would never survive such nonsense. Anything that costs money and labor to supply, cannot ever be free. Somebody has to pay for it. When no one will pay for it... that's when laws are passed and steps are taken to enforce those laws. That's when everything goes to hell. These people are nowhere near "Libertarian".

 

I believe you have absolutely no faith in a society built on small, limited government. Our Constitution was created on it.

Since when am I equating Libertarianism with Socialism? The closest mankind has been to a libertarian lifestyle is from before society itself, for the very tennant of complete liberty would mean that any interaction would be classified as being plausible (not always offcourse) harming for 1 side and as such at odds with the notion of liberty invisioned.

 

Are individuals uninformed or working with partial and biased notions? Hell yes! Hence we should continue to think in terms of society or any large group of individuals, but not fall into the trap to unify or homogenize said group to further an individuals ideals being the template for the entire group.

 

 

A society with minimal oversight from outside/overlooking influences? Sounds like an utopia I could stand behind, cause it means the society would be running itself instead of having individuals with individual idea's on governing (regardless of having stakes in it). That is in part what socialism is, that society gets to run itself for the benefit of the entire society, a direct opposite of the more narcissistic nature that sprouts from libertarian ideology.

I don't know if you did, I was merely informing you of the current state of the U.S. left, and that it is not Libertarian at all.

 

I saw the current state of the European left on full display in London yesterday. If Trump did not pull out of the Paris Climate Accord, and was not a well known supporter of Brexit, I believe London would have been a more hospitable place to visit. The Socialist left, and the reliable robots of George Soros, were out in glorious force.

 

Our President, who is a firm believer in national sovereignty, and also does not support the thought that the world can buy their way to better weather, is somehow branded a racist Nazi by a throng of mentally diseased, one-world, Socialists. So sorry that Trump is not one of the "bend over and do whatever you want to us" Presidents, like Obama. No matter how ugly they get, they will never win.

No nation on this planet, be it past, present or future, is run adherent to 1 stringent economical/sociological ideology. I do know that the US isn't a Libertarian run nation, I ust aint sure you understand that EU isn't a socialist run society... (also unsure if you understand our usage of "liberal", "socialist", ...)

And offcourse if the person visiting didn't have certain viewpoints so different from the nations inhabitants, that person would have been received more hospitable. I didn't mention that specifically, but since you brought it up, yes the adults got together to talk business while the children played with a balloon. The European Union used the Trump visit as a gigantic excuse to gather up the collective. They want to show Theresa May and British Parliament how much they will fight to keep their hooks into the United Kingdom. Pretty sure my British cousins will get the job done. Trump is in Finland right now to meet Putin... Helsinki doesn't like either one of them. Sure they chose there for convenience.

Not a thing Trump could do about it. Rod Rosenstein held a news conference and threw down 12 indictments on Russians right before Trump landed in Helsinki to talk with Putin. The timing was obviously intended to derail the talk, and set Trump up for an embarrassing, no-win situation. Was he supposed to get up on a stage with Putin and just call him a murderer, a thief, a liar, and a meddler, in front of the world? That's not good diplomacy.

 

When you look at things in proper context, the Obama Administration, the Democrats, the deep state swamp Republicans, and the mainstream media, have all joined forces to frame Donald Trump for the past 2 years for whatever crime they can find on anyone. The best they can do is Russian indictments that will never result in prosecutions, and attempt to show that Trump doesn't take it serious. Trump cannot support what they are doing. He cannot show any agreement with their efforts to frame him.

 

This is all a distraction to cover up the fact that the Obama CIA gave their spies to the Obama FBI, which suddenly became "confidential informants" to infiltrate, and frame, the Trump campaign for "collusion"... that never happened. They intended to use all this fake investigation against Trump before the election, also known as, Peter Strzok and his "insurance policy"... but it was obvious that Hillary was going to win, and with Hillary in the White House, no one would ever know anything about what they did. But no... Trump won, so they all went crazy that they were going to get busted for what they have done. Hence the loudest echo chamber in history.

That same "adult" who then went on to call the entire interview "fake news" and thus backtracking in stellar speed, with added bonus being that the paper is a Murdoch affiliated one.

There is still enough that can be understood to prove the FBI used fake opposition research, written by a British Trump hating spy, and paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC, to obtain a warrant from FISA, to spy on the Trump campaign, when they had no evidence of anything, but the fake documents that they withheld information about the source from the FISA court. That is all the Obama Administration, including Hillary Clinton, wanted anyone to know about it, and they all wanted everyone to just accept it. They didn't want anyone to know that there was an entire CIA compound, with dozens of other Americans, under assault for over 13 hours, and no one lifted a finger to help them. We still don't know why there was an entire compound of CIA there... that's classified... but those hearings are the reason why we know most of the truth.

To be in charge of the diplomacy, you have to win the election. You may wish to see how things play out before declaring any conclusions. Russia has been interfering in our elections since the '60's, and this is the only time anyone has said a thing about it. If you really want to go after foreign influence in our elections, you better go after Mexico, because they have millions in the country right now directly effecting the actual outcome. Trump wants to see if he can get help from Putin on China, Syria, Iran, and North Korea... I don't think the best way to do that is to start a war with Russia because Democrats lost an election.

I didn't make a list of friends and a list of enemies. The point is... the world has changed in many ways since alliances were created, and our treaty web has not changed with it. Many of our "old friends" are not being as friendly, and many of our "old enemies" are now business partners. We are somehow expected to keep changing with them. Well forget that... we'll just take the lead.

Holy shit, how can someone as smart as you say something so incredibly dumb? Successful civilizations survive by trade and good relations. There is no reason why everyone cant prosper, and blaming other countries because we have been doing a terrible job makes no sense. Wars have been started because of doing stupid shit with tariffs, and they seldom pay off.
