I'm currently cool medved is my top suspect. Rafay just got on my list though with his omgosh vote on tw. Who I'm leaning town right now.

I've already role claimed, there is not much i can do other than that since my role only protects people. If you believe that i am scum then i can tell you that you are mis-informed. What could i gain from fake role claiming early in game? Has no one seriously investigated me (if there is anyone left to do so)?

 

The line I highlighted is particularly interesting. Colonel Medved was the leading lynch wagon for a few days. The people on that wagon were SBG (known town), Kevin (known town), and me (I know I'm town).  

 

If Medved is indeed scum, the game was early enough that chances are his scum buddies would stay away from the vote because there was no need to sacrifice one of their own so early or if Medved was town they might avoid the wagon to avoid being tied to a townie's lynch so early. The fact that I know that the three people who were on Medved's wagon the longest were all town has me questioning Medved a little bit more.  

 

The only thing that doesn't add up for me yet if Medved is scum is his role claim. He would be taking an awfully large risk to claim what he did if he is scum. But even so, "protector" isn't a role that I've seen commonly used and the scum could have been given safe claims. So perhaps his "gamble" wasn't really much of a gamble in the first place.  

 

Any other thoughts on this?

 

 

As for your comment on me being the leading lynch wagon, lets look more into the Jazzy lynch wagon..

Kevin voted for Jazzy, who was town. Why would he do that, if he had any proof i was scum? And if he did happen to have the proof, why wouldn't he make it known? Town is in need of a turn around, if he had a shred of proof that someone was scum i feel like he would have screamed it from the roof tops.

 

You also voted for Jazzy, TW. You self proclaim yourself as town, would you like to give us anything to re-assure you are? Or are you just trying to get the attention onto someone that is not you? I've been pretty open with my role in the game, but you have been pretty quite thus far.

 

That leaves MsShawdi and brewers. MsShawdi is a wildcard, maybe because she is new but she has been pretty quiet in the game so far. Anything you would like to add? That also goes for brewers, do you have anything to contribute to today's discussion?

 

I would also like to note that me and Jazzy had the same stance on random voting, which could also explain the wagon on his death. But since no one else thinks the way we do, that must mean that they are scum right?

I’m not saying that you’re scum, medved. I even had you listed as most likely town until I went back through day 2 to see if Kevin dropped any hints. Kevin’s posts I highlighted might very well just be cryptic without meaning, but knowing what we know now (Kevin was a cop) the town has to look into his posts/actions to see if there is anything substantial there.

As far as Kevin switching his vote off of you and onto jazzy, it wouldn’t be the first time that something like that has happened. Oftentimes a town cop will do that early in the game even if they have found a scum already. In fact I think I’ve seen Kevin do exactly that as a cop in one of my games. You ask why a cop would do that:

Early in the game a cop may vote for someone that they know is scum and withdraw their vote if it doesn’t appear that he can get a wagon going against that person without role claiming. This accomplishes a couple of things. First, it potentially leads the scum team away from killing that person at night because hopefully they just write off his vote as a coincidence, joke, or random ass guess. Secondly, it still leaves a quiet vote trail for the town if the cop is killed at night before he can properly role claim and share his results.

In this case, it truly could have been random that Kevin chose to vote for you, or there might be more there. If you are town surely you understand that something like this needs to at least be mentioned and discussed otherwise the town is not doing their due diligence and is disregarding some of the only known public information they have at their disposal.

As for me, I may not have roleclaimed yet but that doesn’t make me “quiet”. And at this point you are the only person who has roleclaimed. Besides anyone can look at the post count and the content of my posts to see that I’m here and contributing. The same cannot be said for several other people in this game. If the town wants to win it’s time for those others to contribute as well.

At this point Rafay is the leading point scorer on my scum scoreboard. He starts the game with a little bit of activity and then quietly reverts to old habits and doesn’t post at all for several days leading up to deadline (at least I don’t recall him doing so). Then suddenly he returns at the start of day 3 after two townies have been killed at night and instantly points the finger at the two most active players on jazzy’s wagon. That is a textbook scum framing play. And it’s not lost on me certainly that he directly pointed out Brewers and I but not msshawdi who is much quieter. Scum will obviously want to keep active players from scum hunting and leave others for last. It’s easier for their endgame that way.

I would say it would be less likely due to him being immune to night kills. He could only be killed by his lover dying. So if he found scum even if the doc if we have one was dead, leave out the fact that he was immune to direct attacks, scum attacks him, no kill. Free invetigation, another confirmed town or anouano found scum. Just saying.

Plus without them knowing it was a immune reason for the kill not working. Say a doc is killed a later night, "well, I'm dead tomorrow". Scum hits again, more Intel better chance to win. Course kevin may not of thought of this. But it's how I would of played. At the same time, I wouldn't vote for somebody I knew was town via investigations.

Interesting some of the people that voted to lynch Jazzy are accusing everyone else, lets face it any one of us could be scum theres no real proof, we need to sort this out as we are already 4 down. Personally I think it's time to start hitting back.

I didn't actually say either were scum, just it was interesting they deflected away quickly from the Jazzy wagon but I'm still thinking it was more random then anything else, when I read it I kinda got the lovers thing but losing Kevin is a major blow which I think is going to hurt us further down the line.

Why is Rafay focusing on TW?  Well one reason for it that im thinking of is it was planned by the scum.  At the end of the day I presented a case for why TW could be scum for how he voted on both medved and jazzy, and said if jazzy is town we need to take a hard long look at TW.  The scum team clearly saw what I said during the day, and it would be safe for them to think I would be on board with lynching him and probably would even lead the charge to lynch TW.  So the day begins with Rafay saying he thinks TW is scum, and then says I would be next, and Rafay even goes as far as saying he thinks TW and I will both lead a lynch on him.  If Rafay is scum he knows I am town, and would be trying to put heat on me.  Why would he do that?  To get me to vote with him on TW and to further push my TW theory from the previous day to remove the "heat" from me.  

 

One thing I was very curious about when I first suggested TW might be scum at the end of the day was if anyone would suggest a TW lynch early on and tie me to it.  I thought that if scum wanted to trick the town into lynching another town, what better way than to use me and my late theory on TW being scum.  All it would take is one scum, me and then just one other townie to buy into it to get the lynch.  And sure enough, early on someone is voting for TW and tying me to him.  I am obviously one of the more active and vocal players, so what better way to get a townie lynched than to use the theory of the most vocal and active townie to push the agenda.

and lets say we went rafay's way and voted tw and he turned town.  What would rafay do?  He would go to suspect #2, aka me.  He would argue that I was the one suggesting TW was scum with my theory the day before and I also voted for Jazzy, therefor I must be the scum.  He would say I started it, and deflect everything onto me, when in reality he is the wagon starter here- in order to lynch me as well the next day.   

 

normally I dont think scum like to start wagons, as they do like the middle, but in this case, with me pushing to suspect TW, Rafay can start the wagon, then safely transfer the blame actually onto me after the mislynch occures, and rafay does not always tend to play like most would expect someone to play, so i feel its completely plausible for him as scum to be trying to start a wagon here

I want to hear from iSoc, Canik, and MsShawdi on this Rafay vs TW/Brewers argument. iSoc has posted a few times today but has mostly avoided the subject and we have yet to hear from either Canik or MsShawdi. Care to share your thoughts?

Somehow I doubt it'll get that far.

 

As much as I suspect Rafay at this moment, I am not opposed to voting for iSoc or Canik if they don't start contributing.
