Sorry yall. Working 12 to 14 hour days and should slow down here a bit.

My thoughts? I dont know if SM is seriously pushing this hard for my lynch based on "I'm always scum" or if she's joking. I definitely need to read back to see what's going on but the only one alive I know is town is Velocity. Lachiton ks highly likely from his post about the roles (was that lachiton?)

What stands out to me recently is the tunnel vision on SM and what seems to be a quick wagon forming on me. Why would a scum have just a quick wagon unless some people were jumping on? Maybe because I'm not posting I seem like an easy target. My biggest FoS is DarkFox and TW who seeming 1) jump in to follow and 2) state a soft "if you dont post you got my vote

Lachiton:  Most likely town.  Publicly states his role PM, and medved basically confirms it by saying he sent it as a mistake.  Only way I see him being scum is if medved accidentally sent Lachiton the town PM while Lachiton was scum, and medved publicly admitted he did so, though I see that option as very unlikely.

 

Sister Midnight:  Did not show up for the game for a while, and so far has only pointed fingers at SBG, claiming he is scum in this game cause he always is.  She made the exact same claim in the star wars game, and SBG turned town in that game.  SM was also town though in that game, though her saying SBG is scum because hes always scum when she plays just is not true.  If SGB flips town, it wouldnt shock me if SM was scum just trying to start a wagon on SBG

 

Robert242:  Has not really posted much of anything other than fluff or questions.  all thats really noteworthy is him putting some suspicion on Rafay during D1.  In other games, robert has seemed to actively scum hunt so this stands out as a bit different to me, though it could just be a byproduct of the setup, andf he does have a higher post count

 

TW:  Seems to be actively scum hunting as best as possible with this format, or at least trying to get the town engaged in discussion.  He has been one of the more active players, and is leaning town in my eyes.  

 

Wolfpacks:  Has not really participated in the discussion much, and did vote Rafay d1 right after MK did.  He said it was cause rafay used the word racist,  but that could have just been cover for him to try to form a wagon on rafay with MK.  

 

Rafay:  Oh what to say about rafay.. he actually hasnt done anything that screams scum yet this game.  However, he did deviate from the norm when MK voted for him, as normal rafay usually votes right back/accuses that person of being scum.  Rafay did claim he chose not to do so because voting is pointless, but at the same time, he normally would have accused MK of being scum and he did not do so. However a post by MK stands out to me:  

 

 

 

Exactly why i am town. I would have selected Rafay,if I am scum. Then TW would be the next gunbearer. Admit it, Rafay has a thing for TW.

 

 

Mk selected Rafay, and he turned out to be scum.  So i think its pretty fair to assume that MK did so to try to get Kevin to shoot rafay so rafay would indeed shoot TW, thus killing Kevin and Rafay in one fell swoop, and potentially also take out TW.  I think MK just told us the truth about his plans and in my eyes, it puts rafay and TW in the probably town category.

 

SBG:  Has been very quiet so far, and just voted for someone not even in the game.  Could just be a byproduct of him not really knowing whats going on.  And he has been really inactive in the last few games he played.  Though he did finally show up and post after votes were placed on him.  Could be scum warning him to show up or could just be he logged in and figured he would should say something.

I'll consider votes, but in the end it is my decision, so I will keep what you all say in mind, but I'm also thinking on my own theories about this, the best way for scum to get somebodoy killed is by using good logic, but it is also a good way to you know, determine who's likely to be scum, so following that up I'm doing my own thing from the shadows to figure stuff out. But yes, if I dont think I have an answer I will most likely go based on the votes

It is ultimately your decision but that doesn't mean that you should disregard the thoughts of the rest of the town. If you have your own theories on what to do or whom to shoot you should share them with us so that we know what you're thinking and so that we can discuss it in case you pick wrong. The town needs everyone's thoughts in front of us so that we can figure this out together.

Okay, so I've done my best and I gave everybody townie and scum points based on what's gone on, and I read every single post, and heres what I've got. + points are townie, - points are scum, and everybody startss at +1. Brewer is +2 for being very active and using calculations to figure out things. SBG is at +1 for being accused by MK, a scum, but not being active and not helping. Robert is at +1 for being accused by scum, but not doing anything to help. Lach is at +5 because of PM and accused by scum. TW is at +2 for being active and helpful. Wolf is at +1, nothing good, nothing bad on him yet. MK dead. Kevin dead. Rafay is at +0 for being accused by scum but throwing accusations around, and claimed I was scum, which as we all see i am not. SM is at +0 for throwing accusations around. I am confirmed town, as gunbearer. So here is how it breaks down:

I'm not saying what I believe, I'm just stating the points from what I've gathered in who is scummy. For all we know, TW brewer and Wolf are the three last scum, but I am keeping an eye on it. As of now I believe SM should be kept in watchful eye

Ok, I just read the rest of the stuff written. Why do I get 0 town points, Velocity? That makes no sense to me.

Brewsky, I didn’t know the game started until someone contacted me in Discord. I’ve gotten no notifications in my email of any kind.

Since finding out the game started I went on vacation, but still posted more than most of the people playing. I have tried to move things forward to help catch scum, including encouraging the bandwagon/vote approach when it was presented as the only way town can win.

Anyways, so why would town care if they were to get "shot" since they don't die. They would be the next gun bearer anyways. 

 

But we should be careful. Voting will likely go towards the inactives. If an inactive town dose get shot, they might not get the shot off in time before the deadline....

Every time a townie gets shot the chances of town winning drops, and the shot townie becomes the shooter, which means if they shoot the wrong person (odds are they will), they will die.

Yes yes, you start with +1, and you went down to +0 because you haven't been active, but I'm willing to put that into vacation, so I'll take that off, so yes, you can have your +1 because while you have tried to help it wasn't really anything that hadn't already been said other then supporting the bandwagon. You three are the closest i have to confirmed allies, so all three of your input is valuable, so what do y'all think about what I've done with my system and who's the next target?

I'm glad that you are sharing your thoughts. It's beneficial for us to see what everyone is thinking. This game is really unique from most games we've played here because it is going to be primarily based on luck with no real evidence to discover either way. We need everyone to actively participate if we want to give ourselves anything other than pure luck to win. Therefore I think that you pointing out and calling out those who aren't actively participating is as valid a strategy as anything else we have. As a general rule, scum usually don't mind if the game is slow or if there are inactive players because it means that they can effectively blend into that group of people and don't have to post much which could potentially lead to them outing themselves.

 

While we can't actually say with absolute certainty that someone is town (other than the gunbearer), I think that Lachiton is as close to being confirmed that we have and we probably shouldn't need to look his direction to find our remaining scum.

 

Other than Lachiton our three lowest posters currently are SBG, Wolfpacks, and Rafay. We need more out of these three. Please help contribute more to the discussion.

 

Even though this person is near the top of the post count, one person that is sticking out to me a little bit is Robert currently. He is actively posting but his style feels different in this game. Perhaps it is just the game format but this post also stuck out to me:

We should care because if town gets targeted another confirmed townie (the gunbearer) dies. We only get a certain number of misfires.. We should be doing everything we can to hit scum.

@velocity,  one thing I would suggest looking for is anyone who perhaps thinks voting is pointless.  If we dont vote on people, then no one can ever be accused of pushing the shooting of a townie or forming a wagon, and thus all shots are random.  And with their being more town than scum, a random shot always benefits the scum, and would statistically lead to a scum win. Yes we got lucky with the very first shot, but the odds would always be in the scum's favor that way

 

I have an appointment in ten min, but after that I am going to go back through all the posts and see if anyone has advocated against voting/suggested RNG was the best way to go for the shots.

For now, im keeping my vote on wolfpacks, as he has yet to show up and post since i made it
