My appointment never showed so here it goes:

 

so no one really stands out for being heavily against voting.  Just comments here and there saying voting doesnt matter much.  There is a ton of fluf posts and not a lot of substance from a lot of us.  Lachiton, TW, and Velocity have at least made some effort to help figure shit out and analyze people's posts.  Other than that its been a whole lot of nothing burgers from everyone else. 

 

SM has lached on to my idea about votes, and has said she has no clue who scum might be multiple times, and then has thrown accusations out at SBG, but now has said those were just jokes, so its basically all fluff.

 

SBG has been MIA for most of the game, and his only post really of solid substance was being the first to point out lachiton was basically confirmed town

 

Rafay is well rafay.  not much posted that actually helps us

 

Wolfpacks:  Followed MK's vote right away on Rafay and my wake up SBG vote right away (then after I switched my vote to him as been silent)  Other than that, his posts have been basically stating he does not understand how this game us supposed to work

 

Robert has posted a lot in this game, 32 times so far.  Outside of a spat with lachiton and throwing accusations at rafay on d1, his posts have all been either fluff or saying he doesnt understand things about the game.

 

it could just be a coincidence that both robert and wolfpacks have questioned multiple times how the game works (like saying they thought there would be a night phase and wondering if scum get the power to kill, or stating they are trying to figure out the game).  Or it could be an effort to appear like they cant be scum because they dont understand how the game works/the mechanics of the game.  

 

after reading everything, I think those who are standing out the most as potential suspects are those who Velocity placed at the bottom of his list minus rafay (though Mk could have just been trying to bus off him, so hes not free and clear completely) :

 

SM, SBG, Wolfpacks and Robert.  

 

Now I am going to group some people together and see how they interact with each other:

 

SBG and wolfpacks:  I vote SBG to prod him to wake up, wolfpacks follows with a vote on SBG as well without providing any reason for why.  Then SBG finally shows up and places his vote right back on wolfpacks.  Could be both of them trying to appear like they are not partners with the other.  

 

SBG and SM:  SM accuses SBG of being scum multiple times for the main reason that he was scum in previous games, then says it was only a joke after taking heat for it.  Could be an attempt at busing as well

 

Wolfpacks and Robert:  Both posting a lot of nothing and both made multiple posts throughout the game that indicated they do not know the rules or how the format works

 

 

So those are my top four suspects at the moment:

 

Lets break it down even more by town reason v scum reason for why they are doing what they are doing for my top potential suspects.  

 

SM: Laching on to my idea about votes and accusing SBG of being scum.

 

Town Reason:  Agrees with me that voting will give town the best chance to actually figure out who is who, as this way we can actually analyze peoples actions and the game is not random.  And SBG has been very quiet so he could be trying to hide as potential scum.

 

Scum Reason:  Wants to look like she is contributing to helping town find scum and realizes if we start voting, she can use it to create a wagon on a very inactive SBG, who could then be easily shot.  If he is town, then he might end up being an inactive gun bearer (tho there is an auto replacement rule now but if medved cant find the replacement, would it work the old way and the gun-bearer would die?).  If SBG is scum, then it would be a strong bussing move, as she has ecoed her thoughts of him being scum several times

 

SBG:  Fairly inactive this entire game, but is the very first person to point out Lach basically became confirmed town

 

Town reason:  SBG has been inactive all over recently, including the last few games due to RL.  Inactivity from RL does not mean one is scum.  And he pointed out lachiton was town and basically confirmed to remove him from the suspects list to make it easier to find scum

 

Scum reason:  Using RL as a cover to hide out and not be targeted by scum.  Pointed out the Lachiton thing to get as kevin calls them "townie points"

 

Wolfpacks: Fairly inactive, and not posting substance.  Indicates he doesnt understand the game at times.  Votes twice, on rafay after MK and on SBG after me.

 

Town reason:  Same as SBG, RL can cause inactivity and does not mean someone is scum. Furthermore, this is a different format so he might not actually know how it works. Rafay's vote was just a lol vote cause rafay claimed racism again and lets be real, that is annoying As Fuck.  As for SBG, wolfpacks might just think SBG is the most likely scum because of how inactive SBG has been.

 

Scum reason:  Hiding out as inactive, and is pretending to not understand the game to appear less likely that he is town.  Could have been trying to form a wagon on Rafay to get kevin killed if rafay is town, as he is a popular choice, or if rafay was scum to buss from him early.  As for SBG, the same reasons for his vote hold with what was stated for SM

 

Robert:  Has been very active, second most posts but lots of fluff.  Accused Rafay of being potential scum D1 and got into a little spat with lachiton. Has made several comments indicating he is not familiar with the rules: ie) can scum kill, and he thought there was a night phase

 

Town:  trying to be active, as we have no power roles, so unless we are active town have almost no shot at winning this game.  Rafay always acts scummy so its always possible he is scum.  the thing with lachiton could have just been because robert was not fully aware of how the game worked and it seemed lachiton was.  The comments about not knowing how it works is potentially because this is a new game and he truly wasnt sure and wanted clarification

 

Scum Reason:  Trying to appear active and appear like he is hunting scum, as he is usually a top 3 poster and posting less would be suspicious, when in reality the vast majority of his posts have no meaning and are fluff.  Same reasons as stated before about rafay.  As for the thing with lachiton, scum sometimes get defensive when called out for things, so perhaps his actions/spat with lachiton are byproduct of that.  pretending he doesnt know scum cant kill would give him "townie points"

 

 

At this point, I think shooting 1 of these four is the best option and give us the best chance of getting scum.  At most all three of our scum are in this group, and at least I would think two of the final three are here.  As far as which to go with, at the moment I have no strong feelings one way or the other.    We need to hear from EVERYONE on this, including those ive mentioned as suspects in my eyes.

Actually i placed my vote and stated it was because i agreed with your reasoning Brewers, secondarily as stated i voted Rafay because he used the racist call again after doing so, so closely after he did it in a previous game, for someone who has supposed to have read back you have missed quite a lot of important stuff, SBG placed his on me because of sour grapes im guessing

 

By the way i said i dont understand it once, i did not continue after that. i get the game now, doesnt take that long to figure it out

Nah you're high on the list because you had a lot of scum stuff going on at the start, also I voted you at the beginning because bandwagon, why not? I'm not giving points based in preference, but rather what speaks scum and what speaks town, so it's not because I have a "thing" for you...

Lachiton:  posts right away about the role PM he got, noting that it says his power is in his vote, when there is actually no formal voting.  Somewhat active in dissecting/analyzing what people are saying.

 

Town Reason:  pretty much confirming he is town, and with no night kills, it eliminates one less suspect by telling the entire game what role PM he got.  Medved confirming the role pm was sent makes it almost certain he is town.  

 

Scum Reason:  to convince the town that he is town, as the risk for a potential scum to actually do what he did would greatly outweigh the costs, so he would become virtually confirmed in everyones eyes.  Only way this is possible to be true with medved's follow up is if medved accidentally sent scum lachiton the town pm instead of the scum pm.

 

TW:  Has been the second most active player this game.  Has been posting several times that town needs to be active in this game.  TW suggested using Orval Redinbocker (spelling?) as how kevin chooses who to make his second shot.  states that the town should vote and the gunbearer should shoot for whoever the town votes for.  Doesnt place vote on SBG but threatens it.

 

Town reason:  being active and getting all players to discuss is the best way to fish out who is scum, as we have no power roles.  If people are quiet we have nothing to go on.  Suggested that stock since its a popcorn game it would be funny, plus with the vast majority of players not doing much to contribute, random was all kevin had to go on.  stating the gun bearer should shoot who the town votes for would help town analyze wagons, considering if they shot someone randomly there would be almost nothing to gain from the voting and nothing would be learned.  Threatening to vote for SBG prevented the wagon from growing/others dogpiling onto SBG on the chance SBG is town

 

Scum Reason:  Points out that scum like to hide at the bottom or middle of the post counts, so making sure he is at the top of the post count could work in his favor.  If he convinces the town that scum are in the middle and he is not in the middle then he might skirt by suspicion.  Telling players to be active could give the appearance that he is town, as a scum would prefer less active town, so it could be a deception.  random shooting in this format will always benifit scum, as with more town players, the probability will always be higher to shoot town, and from a statistical standpoint, using a random stock to do the killing would lead to more scum wins than town wins.  Shooting whoever has the most votes could let the scum have complete influence over who gets shot.  not actually voting for sbg might take suspicion off him if SBG is shot and ends up being town

 

 

Rafay: not much substance to go on, throws around some accusations and then after being called scum by MK does not throw an accusation back

 

Town reason:  Thats what rafay does in pretty much every game.  throws around accusations without any reason, regardless of his alignment.  so if he was town it stands to reason he would do that here.  while he usually accuses anyone calling him scum of being scum, he might not have this game when MK did because as he stated voting is pointless

 

Scum reason:  throwing around accusations to possible influence who gets shot.  when MK called him out, rafay did not want to call out MK as well because MK was his scum partner, and rafay did not want to put any suspicion on MK.

 

Me:  most active poster in the game.  advocates for voting early and again today, has theory that MK was scum for his vote on rafay on d1, and votes for MK.  votes for SBG on d3 and WP, posts who I think the top suspects are, then later posts a breakdown for each of those suspects.  Then makes this post here analyzing the other players.

 

Town Reason:  I am always the most active player in every game, as I actively want to hunt and find scum.  with no power roles, I feel that the only way we have a chance to find scum and shift the odds in our favor is by wagon and post analysis, so voting is something I want and something that the games played on mafia scum used when town won.  believed Mk was scum for trying to get rafay shot, since lets be honest rafay has a hard on for tw and if rafay is town MK could have gotten kevin and rafay killed (if tw is also town).  Made votes today on inactives to wake them up as an active town is the only way we win.  Makes a breakdown of suspects to help velocity chose who to shoot, and makes this post to help analyze all other players not mentioned before 

 

Scum Reason:  I am always the top poster so if out of no where I stopped being as active as I am, I would be the first person killed, and as scum I would not want that.  The MK theory would be an attempt at bussing from MK on D1 and to earn townie points, since if I was scum I would know MK was also scum and could have used that to look good.  Voting could be potentially influenced by the scum team to control who the gunbearer shoots, as I would not want to leave it up for chance.  voted on the inactive to potentially start a wagon and influence the shot, as well as made these posts to help push velocity to shoot a townie instead of scum

The point is to help Velocity in his decision to shoot, which we as a town should have been doing. Doesn't matter whether he chooses our candidate to shoot or not.

As for me, I am going to go out on a limb and place my vote whom I am getting more and more suspicious of.

He is 2nd in terms of activity, yet didnt try once to direct town in any direction. He has rarely provided insight on anyone so far, apart from his feeble attempt on Rafay. In my view he is trying to avoid getting into voting and taking a stand, which is more often than not scum tell. 

If he is shot, best case we get a scum and worst case we handover the gun to a very active townie.

I am a little bit concerned by this as well, Robert. I know that we don’t have anything concrete to go off of but this is at least the second post that has sounded like you aren’t concerned with the gunbearer hitting town. Even though the target won’t die if they are Town, the gunbearer will. That means that we will still lose a townie which puts us one misfire closer to losing..
