No matter how much we can say we dislike the mod, it's his game. If we could get some information so we can move forward, that would be helpful.

Either way I would say we have 4 scum left

As previously stated, I think at least 1 scum voted for MK.

Taken together, this means that up to 3 scum did not vote for MK.

I'm sort of surprised that more people didn't vote for MK; it was the townie thing to do.

The scum knew that it was the townie thing to do so they should have done it too.

However, the scum also want to lay low and not be accountable for lynching a townie so my suspicion remains on those that were not on the MK wagon.

I have to say this is Niave. I don't trust Brewers now. He's the mod who puts in Jesters. Your really going to trust brewers after MK flipping Jester?

Maybe it's just because i haven't played a ton of IRON Mafia yet, but Jesters are pretty common of a role. I use to play Town of Salem before this, where just about every game has Jesters lol

It sucks for town, but it does add spice to the game. It makes you second guess if they are genuinely scummy or just wanting to get lynched for a win.

So in other words, the MK wagon is useless. I for one know i am town, and i didn't vote for MK. My reasons have already been stated, and i'm sure everyone has a reason to why they did/didn't vote. Either way, MK was town and was lynched.

You could say scum were on the wagon to get an easy lynch, or town was on the wagon because MK was acting scummy. Then you could also say that town didn't vote MK because he was acting too scummy like he was trying to get lynched, or scum are hiding in the no votes to blend in with town or not seem to obvious.

Not really salty, its Policy.

@CM, Jesters are more Bastard roles, not used unless to piss off the masses.

I don't dislike the mod, I'm saying for this game he can't be entirely trusted.

You just summed up the game of Mafia!

iSoc mentioned earlier that he thinks he could've been targeted last night which could help explain there only being one kill last night. While that is certainly possible if iSoc became 1-shot BP as he claims, I'm inclined to think that he wouldn't have been a scum target at night. All anyone knew about him before that night was that he was previously a PGO. Therefore if he would've been targeted by a scum faction it would have also killed the person targeting him (assuming he was resurrected as the same role). No one had any reason to believe that he came back as anything other than his mod-revealed role before he mentioned that he became BP so I doubt a scum faction would have targeted him since it wouldn't have been worth it for them to target him and lose a person for doing so.

Because of this I don't think that iSoc was a scum target at night. I think it's more likely that at least one of the killing factions has a modifier or somehow two kills were prevented at night. This would mean that if the town has a protective/preventative role of some kind (Doctor, Jailkeeper, maybe roleblocker, or rolestopper) that you most likely prevented at least one of the kills. Hopefully this means that at least that person or persons has some information about who was targeted last night. It does not completely exonerate that targeted person of course since we are likely dealing with multiple scum factions who will also want to kill each other off, but it does increase the odds that that protected person/persons is town.

Honestly at this point I don't know what to do. I believe that iSoc currently has the only two votes cast against him today. If something doesn't change quickly he might be the only option today even though I don't know if it's actually our best option.

With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch or 4 at deadline.  Deadline is Monday, Jan 22th at 12:00 PM CN time.

Brewers - Can you please give us an updated post count and clarify the deadline? Is the deadline today (Monday) at 12:00pm or tomorrow (Tuesday the 22nd) at 12:00pm?

  • Author

I've been really busy the last couple days, and am skiing now, so I won't be able to update the game today.

Deadline will be tomorrow at noon. I'll try to get a vote count posted later today

Thank you. That means that we have 26 hours to figure something out.

Does anyone have any other thoughts to share at this point about things that have happened or where we should go from here?

Vote: Robert

You're way too busy playing against the game then playing the actual game with the actual players. Could be a tactic to seem like you're actively doing something, but you're not in fact. All that bitching and moaning has to be good for something, so I'm guessing you're stalling for something, because I'm not seeing some actual contribution

I don't have anything to share, but agree we're to the point decisions need to be made.  Was hoping someone may have some information on direction.  Seems we're likely shooting in the dark again

Unfortunately this game is extra interesting with the possible multiple scum factions making it much harder to pin any information down. Honestly iSoc has given no hint of being anything other than what he originally was. I this point I think we need to stop looking into the same people unless new information arises. It is just a waste of our time and gives scum the ability to slowly pick us off one by one.

As previously posted, my FoS based on not voting for MK:

Colonel Medved, LordSunday, Robert2424, Wolfpacks, Rhizoctonia

One of these already has a vote so I will add to it.

Vote Robert2424

which then gives

Unofficial Vote Count

iSocialism (1): Robert2424,

Colonel Medved (0)

Jazzy (0)

KevinH (0)

Kvrest (0)

Nadarr (0)

Rhizoctonia (0)

I said that we should move on and stop talking about the jester, but Robert still wanted to keep it going.

Sorry Robert, but you look like the best candidate to me. Honestly, I have no idea if you are scum, but you are being the least constructive right now. I’m open to changing my vote.

VOTE ROBERT

Sorry for me KevinH is pushing that if you didn't vote for MK you ain't town too much, MK was already lynched it didn't matter who else voted for him, the game still continues, to me it better to try and flush out other scum members then add a vote to someone who is basically lynched, now thats the townie thing to do.

VOTE KevinH

So Robert has 2 votes after Kevin placed his, and suddenly two people creep out of the woodwork and place votes to put him in a lynch position.

This got me thinking. Some things Kev said rubbed me the wrong way:

Either way I would say we have 4 scum left

As previously stated, I think at least 1 scum voted for MK.

Taken together, this means that up to 3 scum did not vote for MK.

What significance does this have to yo, exactly? Please elaborate?

I'm sort of surprised that more people didn't vote for MK; it was the townie thing to do.

The scum knew that it was the townie thing to do so they should have done it too.

However, the scum also want to lay low and not be accountable for lynching a townie so my suspicion remains on those that were not on the MK wagon.

I, for one, did not think MK was scum and raised the possibility of him being a Jester. I know others were considering this seriously after I brought it up. I was correct in guessing he was a Jester. Does that imply I’m anti-town for not voting for him? I did not believe him to be scum and I was right.

As far as I’m concerned, you are one of the Mafia kings, Kevin. I’ve only played Mafia on the IRON boards and I don’t know all the caveats that people like you seem to know. but I’m pretty sure not trying to lynch a townie is the right way to play a townie.

The last min scum push.

I'm at least trying to make conversation, while everyone sits back and dose nothing.

I wrote the following while you were posting, and when I previewed my post for editing purposes, I saw your comments so I finished my thoughts about Kev and posted them. Regarding Robert I said:

“I’m rethinking my recent vote for Robert. He’s distressed by our Moderator’s actions and being pretty vocal about it, that doesn’t make him scum. I don’t like lynching someone just for the sake of having a lynch in. There is a good chance I will be unvoting. That will probably put a target on my back, but...”

Could someone please explain why it is more desirable to risk lynching a townie on the second or third night than on N1?

So Robert has 2 votes after Kevin placed his, and suddenly two people creep out of the woodwork and place votes to put him in a lynch position.
