We should make liberal use of FoS: to make up for it.

FoS: Kverst & Nadarr

Where yall at?

Also, why your names gotta be so hard to spell?

Uodate for everyone: Kverst is having some technical issues. He’s still a player, but that’s why he’s been quiet.

She hasn't. Just sent another message though.

The biggest problem I see is that the "no unvoting" rule effectively removes the best way to pressure people into participating and posting more -- by having several votes placed on them and forcing them to defend themselves. This now needs to be accomplished without actually casting those pressure votes. Of course if someone truly suspects another player then they can certainly vote on them to apply pressure still. They just can't "change their mind" that day and vote elsewhere if they do that and something better turns up.

We need to truly utilize FOS in this game and everyone should shift their perception to read FOS as a true intention to vote for that person and not just as a "I sort of think you might possibly have done something scummy". And since this game requires a true majority lynch we need to make sure to take our time voting so that people don't rush to join a wagon and tie their votes up just to miss a better opportunity at a later time that day.

My advice would be for everyone to constantly provide their thoughts on various players. So if your vote gets locked up on a particular player on a given day but you see something else noteworthy that needs to be pointed out about another player, you need to make those thoughts known so that we can either follow your thought process on a later day or so that other players can consider those thoughts that same day before casting their own vote on a player.

Sorry guys. I worked really late last night and was accidentally pushed out of the shower this morning. I think these rules are super duper interesting. I am sorry I am so late to the party.

ASSUMING we only have 1 mafia group and 1 town group (no vig, no SK, etc), do we have a free no lynch day?
I've never been able to figure out how one does this math, but with the no unvoting aspect, no lynching might be the best alternative for the day in my opinion.

I agree, i believe that no lynch would be a good option for today as well (even through i threw my vote out within the first hour of the game opening, not knowing the rule). We could randomly swing at the fences for a lynch, but with the stakes like this i don't think it would be beneficial to town to random lynch today. Who knows how the next following days will go, we can use all the cushion we can get.

Posting thoughts on ppl is good. It's so early I don't have very strong opinions yet but I will say..

You sure about that no lynch MK already???

Interesting set up though especially the fact that mafia has day talk.

Hold your votes till Friday gentlemen.

^ For once I get a good vibe from Rafay with this post. Of course, he usually turns up to be town anyway so maybe this time he really is scum. xD

Everyone else.. has just been pointing out rules, giving thoughts on them.. no one seems suspicious yet but I'm sure a couple of you are scum!

You think that rafay is innocent?

You are trying to do the reverse psychology thingy.

It's not a big thing. I'm far from sure he's innocent as I indicated in my last post saying "maybe this time he really is scum." ..  but I did get a good 'town' vibe from it, which when I played before I don't recall getting that from Rafay often.

I guess part of what I liked was that he questioned your quick no lynch vote. Why were you so sure you wanted to vote for it and so early?

Because it's Day 1.

The chances of a D1 lynch is so small.

So i am willing to bet that the chances are it's not going to happen.

So i would vote for something i believe we will all come back to, eventually.

While I am not a fan of the no lynch, to answer SBG's question, in an odd number game, a no lynch takes away a mislynch.  in an even number game it does not.

But without being able to change votes, it is even more  important that everyone is active.  Even if you have "evidence" on someone It is it essential that you do not vote that person right away.  Votes should be held off until people have a chance to defend themselves, as scum could be framing them, and if we vote quickly, we cant unvote off their defense.

with that being said, if we wait to hold out votes, activity is gonna be required.  lets say someone is the cop, they find someone guilty.  dont vote them right away, as there could be several reasons for the guilty-a framer, miller, insane mod, a role that switches targets, etc.  if we vote right away, we could be damning town without any way to stop it.  But in that case, if after all evidence is presented we still feel they are guilty EVERYONE needs to make sure they are active to actually place the votes so scum doesnt escape.  This is extremely important, as there is no half majority deadline lynch

Agreed.

And what Brewers said too, I can't guarantee that i will be around for an early morning deadline on Friday. So i just wanted to make sure that my vote is recorded

Not necessarily Friday but Thursday or around.

Anyway I think that we shouldn't look to deep into your mistake. Caution is suggested for everyone.
