While I am not a fan of the no lynch, to answer SBG's question, in an odd number game, a no lynch takes away a mislynch. in an even number game it does not.
But without being able to change votes, it is even more important that everyone is active. Even if you have "evidence" on someone It is it essential that you do not vote that person right away. Votes should be held off until people have a chance to defend themselves, as scum could be framing them, and if we vote quickly, we cant unvote off their defense.
with that being said, if we wait to hold out votes, activity is gonna be required. lets say someone is the cop, they find someone guilty. dont vote them right away, as there could be several reasons for the guilty-a framer, miller, insane mod, a role that switches targets, etc. if we vote right away, we could be damning town without any way to stop it. But in that case, if after all evidence is presented we still feel they are guilty EVERYONE needs to make sure they are active to actually place the votes so scum doesnt escape. This is extremely important, as there is no half majority deadline lynch
