I've been working on this setup for a while and figured it was time to try modding a game.
I've spent a few months actually setting this game up, working through roles, and how to work the game because I figured we needed something new in the Mafia Realm. Basically, I think I ended up with a game that is pretty far from Mafia. I've broken down the rules, and setup below for anyone interested. I've also ran some mock games to ensure it's balanced, and even had my brothers, girlfriend, and a friend play a mock game on this last setup to test the waters. (Of course, they needed to play multiple characters and this being the first ever game of Mafia they've done, I discovered it is a perfect game setup for newbies because it's pretty heavily worked to where experience players may feel like newbies to this setup.) Anyway, I'll describe everything below.
I want this game to start AFTER Jazzy's (MK's game will start after The Warrior's ends).
For the game to work, it requires at least 8 players, but no more than 22 (Thanos wins everytime after 22 during all my mock games, and I don't want to rebalance all the roles again to allow an amount of players that I really don't see happening. Plus I'd have to run mock games again to make sure everything is balanced.) The mock game with my brothers, etc had 18 characters total in play and in my opinion is the optimal game experience. (Explained below)
If you have any suggestions, comments, or anything, please let me know. I've spent a while on setting this up in my free time and really hope it can create an enjoyable game for all involved.

Game Rules
1 ) Do not bring outside influences into the game - this includes threats, bribes, wagers, promises, alliances, etc. Using knowledge from previous games is perfectly acceptable, but try not to carry grudges from one game to another.
8) You may vote No Lynch
9) If two or more players are tied for a lynch, the lynch will be decided by a random computerized selector, giving each person tied a fair percentage chance of being selected for the lynch.
10) Day 1 and 2 will last 7 Real Life Days, Days 3-7 will last 10 Real Life Days, and Days 8+ will last 7 Real Life Days.
11) ALL Nights will last 3 Real Life Days, with Phase 1 being the 1st 48 hours, and Phase 2 being the last 24 hours.
12) You may PM any questions to the mod for clarification, but will not be given any answers that would expose an unfair advantage.
What is the game setup?
The game is basically a very role + modifier heavy game with some custom role abilities placed into it. All roles + modifiers are inspired by Mafia. A breakdown of the roles abilities will be given in the Role PM, as well as upon death, so all players are aware of what each role can do. In addition to roles/abilities, the game will have all six infinity stones, which will enable access to their ability in substitute for the characters ability. I'll leave an example Role PM at the bottom.
The game will be split into 3 phases (Day, Night Phase 1, Night Phase 2). The objective for the Day is to find a player to lynch, share results, as normal Mafia stuff. Night, however, works different. Night will last 3 real-game days. Phase 1 will last 2 days. Phase 2 will last only the last 24 hours of the night. Most players/characters will have an ability that corresponds to a specific phase. SOME characters/teams will be able to use 2 abilities in a night (1 during Phase 1 and 1 during Phase 2.) Phase 1 is for "aggressive" abilities, such as investigation powers, kills, etc. Phase 2 is for defensive/protective abilities and/or event decisions (I'll break down events later as well). Most of these are custom, but take their inspiration from doctor, commuter, bulletproof roles, etc. Phase 2 abilities will trigger a randomize computer dice roll on a 20 sided dice. The odds of what would be needed to hit will depend on the Defending character, not the aggressor. These odds will be given in a role PM. In regards to the Infinity Stones, if the ability of the Stone is a Phase 1 ability, the defending role would need to be an 18-20 to stop the action. If the stone is a Phase 2 ability, the role would need to be an 18-20 to fail. (This leaves only a 10% failure rate for the Stones.) In most cases, during events, a character/team can either use an ability, or use the event. Not both.
Player Selection:
Each character will be given an assigned number below
Each player will be given a corresponding number at random using a random computerized organizer
List of possible players:
Thanos - 1
The specific roles aligned to each player, however, will remain hidden. Part of the game is the surprise of what each character's role is. The only exposed role will be the example below.
Role PM Example
Win Conditions/ Game Goals
The Goal for the Heroes (Town) is to stop Thanos from collecting the Six Infinity Stones by either 1) having 1 town-based player or team wielding all Six Infinity Stones or 2) eliminating Thanos and the Black Order
The Goal for Thanos + The Black Order (Mafia) is to collect the Six Infinity Stones
The Goal for the Collector (18 players + game) - Survive to the End
Events:
Events will be known to everyone during the Day, and a decision will need to be made regarding the event by the end of that respective night. Events will have both positive and negative outcomes. Only specific characters will be effected by specific events. Events can either be triggered by the actions of the previous night (example, a hero kills another hero who held an infinity stone), or pre-planned (example: Day 3, the Soul Stone will appear.)
Possible Events / Planned Events and descriptions:
Planned:
Day Three Event: Soul Stone:, The Soul Stone will appear to Thanos (any number of players), Ironman (in a 12+ person game), Star-Lord (in a 12+ person game), and Captain America (any number of players). Each character/team has their own "sacrifice" to make for access to the Soul Stone. Anyone willing to make that sacrifice will be added to a randomize computer selector of 10 slots (Ironman, Star-Lord, and Captain America will be given 1 slot each, whereas Thanos will take the rest.) Denying the event will substitute that slot with Thanos. If Thanos denies the event, EVERY character in the game will be added to a list with a fair percentage chance to receive the stone.
Day Six Event: Overpowered Magic (12+ player game only): Characters revolving around Magic (Doctor Strange, Thanos, Thor, Ebony Maw, Scarlet Witch will have an option to use their ability during Day 6 for a price that will cost them any protection on Night 6.
Random Events:
Town lynches town infinity stone wielder: Everyone on the wagon, plus Thanos will be given an equal percentage chance to receive the stone via a randomize computer selector.
Town uses night action to kill town infinity stone wielder: Aggressor can role a 20 sided dice for the stone (must roll an 11-20 to get the stone.) If aggressor rolls a 1-10, Every living player will have an equal percentage chance to receive the stone via a randomize computer selector.
A Team wields Reality Stone + Soul Stone and is targetted with a killing action during Phase 1 = During Phase 2, a member of the team can utilize both stones to "morph reality" and swap souls with the target of a killing action. Example: Player 1 / Thanos has both stones, and is targeted by a killing action. Player 2 / Ebony Maw can use the stones to swap Player 1 and Player 2's character. Player 1 will still die and no longer be in the game, but their character will now be Ebony Maw. Player 2 will become Thanos. Ebony Maw will be displayed during the kill.
Stone Abilities/Odds:
All stone abilities will trigger a roll of a 20-sided dice. Failed rolls are 1-2. Successful rolls are 3-20. If a stone user targets another stone user, the rate will drop to 50% (1-10 is failure, 11-20 is successful. Odds will increase in favor of a user wielding multiple stones as well. Broken down below
1/2/3/4/5 stone vs no stone - failure is 1-2, success is 3-20
1 stone vs 1 stone - failure is 1-10, success is 11-20
2 stone vs 1 stone - Failure is 1-5, Success is 6-20
3/4/5 stone vs 1 stone - failure is 1-2, success is 3-20.
2 stone vs 3 stone - failure is 1-8, success is 9-20
Power - Phase 1 Stone - If the wielder already has a Phase 1 ability, will enhance the odds to above mentioned success rate and act as a strengthener, preventing any misdirections, blocks, etc. If the wielder does not have a Phase 1 ability already, will allow the wielder to 1) select a target to enhance the target's ability with the above modifier, or 2) allow the wielder to bypass a night action in exchange for more voting power. The wielder will get 2 votes during the next day. (The 2nd vote will be hidden from the public to prevent the Power Stone wielder from exposing themselves.)
Time - Phase 1/2 Stone - If the wielder uses the stone during Phase 1, they can select a target and "freeze" them in time. The target will not be able to use any of their abilities based on a successful roll. If used during Phase 2, Wielder came "warp" time to backtrack and prevent the action from taking place based on a success roll.
Mind - Phase 1 Stone - If the wielder has an investigation ability already, will allow the wielder to discover the targets character, role ability, and whether the target has a stone. If the wielder does not have an investigation ability, will allow the wielder to select a target and choose whether to discover their character, role ability, or whether the target has a stone.
Space - Phase 2 Stone - Acts as a commuter ability when targeted by a night action.
Soul - Phase 1 Stone - The Wielder can manipulate the Soul of a target in one of two ways. 1) The wielder can select a target to use their Phase 1 ability on Target 2 (works as a redirect). Wielder does not learn what the ability is, nor if the character even has a Phase 1 ability. 2) Resurrect a fallen soul by restoring a player to the game, but will drain the wielder and not allow a Phase 2 ability to be utilize, leaving the wielder vulnerable.
Reality - Phase 2 Stone - Will allow the wielder to alter ANY Phase 1 actions targeting them, or their team by completely neglecting the action upon a successful role. A second roll may be utilized to redirect the action towards another target. The second roll, however, would only have a 10% success rate.
What is a "mock game"?
I would start a game on a spreadsheet, using any number of characters from 8-22, and would randomize their actions using a random computerize number selector (1 = no action / inactive night, 2+ would be the target. I used the spreadsheet numbers to dictate who was assigned what number. If someone got their own number, I would select the target below them on the spreadsheet. I ran through this 5 times each for each amount of players. 5 games at 8 players. 5 games at 9 players. etc, etc. When I say I spend time on making this, I mean it lol. That is what I did when I say a "mock game".
