Generally the theme of the game is only seen in the mods flavor text and character names, but some people do like to play their character deeply. It’s not extremely common, though, that people roleplay.

You can if you’d like though, I don’t think anyone will stop you.

Yeah but it also takes 9 votes to lynch and I'm sure we're nowhere close to that. I don't even think we have the deadline count yet. But yeah, no point in getting close to a hammer this early in the day. Might as well give it some time to see if we can learn anything else interesting, such as...

I've been thinking and this is kind of a weird thing to push someone on. I can imagine how to you this doesn't seem 50/50 since you're confirmed to not be the same alignment as MK, and you would obviously know your own alignment, but we don't know anything other than that you both have different alignments. We can have theories and stuff, but without any additional information, we really can't do better than 50/50 odds in guessing which of you is scum. This of course assumes that you're not both scum, which is possible but not the most likely option at this time.

I guess it's fine to defend yourself or help push the case against MK, but I don't get why you'd question someone on why they're not more confident about alignments than any other townie could be at this point.

I asked KevinH specifically because he's fan of numbers and his fancy statistics.
In this scenario 50/50 is an obvious starting point. Then there's a question, if there were any actions that can tilt this scale? Did MKs vote on Lyner without any explanation feel a bit scummy?
If yes, I could expect in KevinH eyes it should have tilted scale slightly (surely nearly not enough to be confident who to choose). KevinH however stated that MK's action was not suspicious to him at all.

Ha, I'm pretty sure you're the one that, in the past, has spent an entire D1 posting very detailed "fancy statistics" about which strategies are more likely to be beneficial for town than others. You should know as well as anyone that influencing those estimates with your own personal read of recent events is a huge red flag, and I would bet money that you'd be all over him if he had done that.

To me, this seems like a classic case of scum deflecting their own behavior onto other people and calling it scummy, especially the "fancy statistics" accusation by you of all people. Why are you so bothered any time someone implies that there's a chance you might be scum? It's happened a lot in just the short time this game has been open, and it's getting more suspicious to me.

One side I vote for MK and he possibly gets lynched in two games. While I was spot on in other, may seem cruel to vote him and lynch him here too.

ABT, I mean could be scum. Arguments on them saying to lynch the other are pointless. As abt said. "MK going to say he's town". Witch is true. Only thing is we can go off claims to see if we believe it. Doing what tw says is more bullying then anything. Cause then we might as well do it to everyone, get everyone to claim one by one. By forming countless wagons on people. Soon you'll get to a town member who dosent want to claim. Cause maybe they are a doc. If neither are willing to claim in this situation. So be it. However whoever is town has a target on there back as a confirmed town is dangerous to scum. So it makes an interesting and hard experience. Brewers and with ABT or MK, will have targets on them regardless.

So idk. MK probably going to have low activity so who knows if he'll even post.

 

How is what I said bullying? I was saying that it wasn't necessary for both ABT and MK to role claim yet because neither was in immediate danger of a lynch, there are still 6 days left in the game day, and why would we want the townie among them to role claim if he doesn't have to? That doesn't make sense.

 

I would hate to vote someone out on a 50/50 shot...but if it must be done, and they are willing, the greater good must be taken into account. I also just want to mention that we are taking Brewers word as pure fact here. Is there any possibility that this story is somehow a fabrication regardless of how elaborate it is?

 

Brewers could absolutely be making this up. However, it's early in the game and there are a lot of players left. At best he would get two townies killed and then he'd be next in line to die. The risk might not be worth the reward.

 

I'd believe Brewers role & ability, but that doesn't close the possibility that there are more than 2 factions, brewers might as well be a third faction

 

You are correct. There could be more than two factions in play but that doesn't change the fact that we basically have a 50/50 shot to hit scum today if we lynch either MK or ABT.

Brewers didn't say you were definitely scum. He's assuming based off of the result he received. How do you figure that he's lying? You claimed that he has the same alignment as you so either you're both scum, both town and you somehow know his alignment too, or you don't actually know anything about his alignment. Which is it?

This is the one that did it for me. Playing dumb like the mod is just screwing with your alignment and that's why brewers said what he said is ridiculous. I thought maybe there was a chance that you just panicked and made yourself seem worse in the moment, but this is an obvious scum tell to me.

@Rafay - Assuming Brewers is telling the truth we basically have a 50/50 chance of hitting scum today and if not today we will tomorrow. That seems significantly less difficult than not knowing anything.

I feel you have a deep resentment towards me and it's affecting the way you're interpreting my words. 

I use numbers, that's no secret. Does it somehow make me scummy to say that other people (like KevinH) use numbers too? Am I forbidden to say that I have different view on the numbers KevinH used? 

Also I'm not bothered at all, that people might think I'm a scum. Why would I? This is normal part of the game, especially so early when virtually everyone can be a scum. I was talking about something entirely different, but I doubt that explaining it again will help you. I'll just say, that after this day you'll have to recalibrate your "clasic cases of scum behavior".
